All the people I met in the area kept telling me if I’ve had the Chicken Riggies yet, so I thought I should have some before I left town. I didn’t know what to expect, but considering it was a Sunday night, things were pretty quiet. I thought the salad and bite size pizza that came out before my meal was a nice touch. Maybe my palate isn’t really refined enough for the regional specialty, but I thought the food was a 3 star… but the service and prices were 5 stars! If I’m in town again, I would probably come back.

The wife and I were in town to see a one man stand up show from pro wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Big HOOOOOOOO to anyone who gets that reference. Anyway, not being from the area, the wife and I took to Unilocal to find a restaurant close to the event location. We came across the Vigneto. Place was on a main strip in the town, but was hard to find. It was dark when we went, and their sign is kinda dark and isn’t lit up at all. Though it was a Saturday night, it was extremely easy to find on street parking right in front of the place, as there’s no parking lot. The place is interesting inside. It’s almost like they took a very small local dive bar and tried to add a small Italian restaurant to it. We were sat immediately and given menus to look over. The server went over the daily specials with us. My wife ordered Pasta Antonio and I went with veal bolognese. We were given soup, salad and garlic pizza bites as appetizers. My wife asked for Italian Wedding soup, which was very good. The garlic pizza bites were also very good, just small pieces of their garlic pizza. Our main meals were a tad underwhelming. My wife liked her dish but wasn’t blown away. My veal bolognese was kinda lacking in flavor and the veal was a tad tough. Nothing was terrible, we just weren’t blown away. Service was good. Server was nice and moved quickly. The vibe of the place was kinda weird, again trying to enjoy a nice Italian meal but having the scent of beer and a popcorn machine wafting over from the bar. Just kinda odd. Odd place. Wasn’t impressed but wasn’t the worst meal I’ve ever had either.

Still great pizza, same as the Plaza was. Try the Plaza sausage and hot peppers. Reasonably priced, excellent quality

What a gem! Decided to try based on the previous review and so glad we did! The interior is not overly fancy… just nice and cozy. Service staff was excellent. It’s the food though that will make you want to return over and over. Everything was obviously made fresh and the servings are generous. The prices are very fair for the amount you get. So Do yourself a favor and give it a try! We will definitely be going back.

This place was excellent top to bottom. The food is fresh and delicious, and CHEAP for the portions you get. We had calamari, stuffed shells and lobster ravioli. The soup of the day was lobster bisque and that too was so creamy and tasty. Also mad props to our waitress Courtney for her attention and explanations, since this was our first time here. It may just look like a little hole in the wall, but the food and service are top notch!

Decided we needed to enjoy some Italian food while we stayed in Rome. The food was great. My wife and two daughters also enjoyed their meals. Portions were big! Luckily our hotel has a refrigerator and a microwave since we had to box up two unfinished meals.

I remember the old Plaza Restaurant. Looks the same inside. First, they have a very respectable wine list. Sledgehammer zin was wonderful. The mirasou pinot noir– soft and an easy red. Eat Italian here. I ordered the haddock fish fry. Not great. Almost impossible to get fresh haddock like it was 30 years ago. The salads were excellent… on chilled plate, a real plus. The shrimp w/linguine super good. The garlic pizza bread(served to all) was cold and old. The Italian bread also been around too long. We will return for all Italian food. I hear the pizza is good too. All in all this place is a «winner»!

What a wonderful surprise. Six of us ate dinner on Friday and all of us had such wonderful meals. We all ordered something different and a few extra items to share. This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Rome .I checked the dishes that were going by to other tables and all looked excellent. We had great service and I couldn’t believe the more then fair price. Portions are huge. Several of us had to take our food that we couldn’t finish to go. Very cozy but romantic and fun as well. Love this place!
