Love Ruth’s pies. Her pumpkin pie is as fresh as it gets because she starts with pumpkin and squash grown in their fields. Cherry, apple, mixed fruit. You cannot go wrong. She sells at the Oakland County Farmers Market, which is where we go to get these home-​baked goodies. She makes other yummy stuff, too. And Ruth herself is just a big sweetheart.

Saw a sign today while we were travelling down Van Dyke near Romeo that said «Homemade Pies» so we decided to turn around and check it out. It’s located on 37 mile road about 1 mile west of Van Dyke.

They make pies and breads from August up until Christmas. All natural ingredients and I must say they are tasty.
They are open Thursday thru Sunday. There are baby pies that are 5 bucks so you can get a taste of them. The full size pies are 14 to 15 bucks depending on the type of crust. Make sure you bring cash because they do things the old fashioned way. no credit or debit cards.
Be prepared to be delighted at all the yummy items they make here. All natural ingredients are a plus!
I’ve eaten a lot of pie in my time but these are perfection! I think Dean from Supernatural would be impressed!
