Just moved to The area… my husband and I love that we can get delicious sushi close to home. Try the tempura sampler. So good!

My step daughter and I have eaten here a couple times. The service has never been great but the sushi was good, and it’s the closest place to get sushi for us. But Monday,(8÷17÷15) was our last visit. Our table was dirty, the wall next to us looked like it hadn’t been dusted or wiped down in a long time. The guy who served us wasn’t friendly or attentive. He was more interested in chatting with his friends and answering his cell phone. There is supposed to be soup or salad offered with your sushi, we weren’t offered anything. Our server went from table to cash register to his phone then outside and then served our food… Never washing his hands. Both my step daughter and I spent the rest of the day sick with stomach cramps. I’m sure we had food poisoning. We will NEVER be eating there again And I will be sure to pass the word on to friends. Disgusting!

Food is halfway decent but the staff here is so horrible I can’t give it more than a star. I was here for lunch a few times and only once when the blonde girl was our waitress was it decent. Today was the last straw. The guy with the dreads was incompetent. He took my order with a dirty smelly dish towel in his hand. I’ve waited tables… Not brain surgery but this guy couldn’t have been worse. Then I’m the only person in the restaurant and everyone starts yelling across the place to each other. Dreads even yelled about a nice pipe he bought. Absolutely horrible. Dreads then went back to his laptop and phone playing loud music and pretty much ignored me the whole time. Last time I was here the power company called and said they were going to shutoff the power due to lack of payment. Shouldn’t be long until this place is done for. Needs new management and ownership.

Good sushi and nice to have place in Romeo. I typically get carry out and generally service pleasant from cashiers. The owners are not real engaged with customers. They could use some people skills development. Overall, good food and again, nice to have a local sushi place.

Service is non existent here. Sushi is however pretty good just don’t know how to run a business. Every time we order carry out they tell us 30 minutes and arrive a little early just to wait an additional 45 to an hour. The sad thing is that their might be 1 or 2 tables with people in there with this horrendous wait.

Not the greatest. Miso soup was bitter. The shrimp tempura would have been excellent if they would change their cooking oil. Sushi was mushy. Good service, but we won’t return.

Very pleased to have sushi in our small town, and great sushi no less! The rolls are fresh, creative, and well prepared. I have enjoyed every item I’ve ordered and really appreciate the attention to detail here — it is noticeable. The location is clean, well kept, right on Main Street, and the regular servers are very pleasant. I wish I could make this a 5-star review, however, the service and arrival of food is consistently slow. If anything could be improved it should be the processes and timing by which food is delivered to the table. We’ve often not received our complimentary salad or soup until the entrees were brought out. Or, similarly, sat for 45 minutes or longer before receiving any food. Everything still tastes so good, it is worth the wait! But it would be even better to see improvement there.

Decided to try this place out today. Atmosphere is clean and nice. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had but it was decent. Wish there was a larger selection of non-hard-shelled options. There were not a lot of «specialty» rolls like the Hawaiian and the specialty rolls I saw had very different ingredients than what I’m use to. It was 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was dead. Always makes me nervous wondering how fresh the fish is…

I am in love! Super fresh and delicious. We are sushi snobs and my husband and my expectations were completely and delightfully exceeded. I highly recommend their ginger salad. The flavors play together in perfect balance. As for the other reviews, are we talking about the same place? Seriously! I am so excited to add a new favorite to our now 3 sushi bars we patron. To top it off, we were offered happy hour prices even though we arrived shortly after the end of happy hour. We were so happy and impressed that we ordered an additional 4 rolls to go. Yummy!

The sushi is great. However… All you can eat sushi Thursdays became a routine and we went back today only to find that they had stopped it. They definitely need to bring it back as I saw many dissapointed customers in there this evening, including myself and my guest.

This place is for inexperienced and low-budget highschoolers who don’t know what good customer service is. I walked in and while the owner was handling customers he looked over at me and said«sit wherever you want» curtly. Then a guy at the bar shuffled over and handed me a menu and I was like«well I’m sitting outside, do I order here and then take it out?» The owner answered and says«go sit outside; we’ll get to you.» In the meantime, I’m sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for my sushi. I don’t know why it’s taking so long for a Philly and a simple salmon roll. Also miso is free with lunch, I only know because I’ve been here before, but no one offered. I had to asked for it. I’ve been here before and it always seems like the owner is a rude jerk and the employees are lazy and slow. Regular salmon roll tasted good though, but the Philly was mushy. Avocado was really really soft and presentation was sloppy. Unfortunately there’s not really anywhere else to eat in Romeo that isn’t a bar?

My husband and I had been missing sushi since we moved. We would normally hit up Kona Grill for happy hour but now it is way too far away! I googled sushi restaurants and stumbled upon this place! I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews. The hubs and I were craving sushi so we finally decided to give it a try. Walking in, the restaurant is small and a little run down looking. Our waitress was super friendly. We ordered two Philly rolls and an Alaskan roll. We were starving and it took a while since another table ordered a bunch of rolls. The miso soup was ok. I’ve had better but it wasn’t bad. My husband got crab Rangoons that smelled amazing! He wouldn’t stop making noises and telling me how delicious the were. Grr! The sushi chef was super nice and talked with us while he was making sushi(we sat at the sushi bar). The Philly roll was delicious! I have never eaten sushi so fast. I never eat more than one roll and I wanted more! As we chatted with the sushi chef he gave us a lobster roll on the house… I DONOT eat lobster and I ate three pieces! Very yummy. I would deff go back! For those who don’t like sushi they have a few noodle and fried rice options. Another table got a heaping plate of fried rice and I was so jealous! For soup, crab rangoons, three rolls and a pop, the bill came out to $ 27 After taxes. The prices are great. Half the price of Kona and just as good! Hubs was just sad they do not have a liquor license as he loves sake. That wouldn’t stop us from coming back, though.

I have sampled sushi at many different places. This is by far the worst sushi place I have ever been to. My son and I sat down at the sushi bar for a good 5 – 10 minutes before a young caucasian guy dressed in a worn t-shirt and workout/PJ pants showed up with menus. The sushi guy behind the bar never once looked up to make eye contact. We ordered Gyoza and Udon noodles with veggie tempura for my son and a sashimi sampler platter. The tempura batter was minimal and dry(too much flour). The udon noodles were not even warm. They were rubbery like someone made them in the microwave. My sashimi pieces were the thinnest pieces of fish I have ever had. The tuna rolls were made with stale seaweed(seaweed should be dry and crisp). The worst part was that there appeared to be strange chewy bits(resembling meat tendon) in the tiny pieces of tuna in the rolls that I had to spit out. Not sure if this is because they use lower grade tuna(cheaper cut, different area of fish). When we were almost done, the server brought out the Gyoza. He apologized about forgetting them and said he’d take them off the bill. Thank goodness because nowhere on the menu did it specify that they’d be deep-fried(real sushi establishments pan-fry them). Last but not least, the women’s restroom was filthy and disgusting. The toilet and sink looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a month. If a restaurant’s restroom is that dirty, I can only imagine what condition the kitchen is in.

I have never been disappointed here! The service is always on point, but I’ve never been here and not been the only table in the restaurant. Always get all of my food quickly. Miso soup is complimentary with lunch, which is tasty. The spring rolls weren’t that awesome(but I’m used to Thai spring rolls). All the sushi rolls are fantastic and fresh! The Hawaiian crunch tempura, snow roll, and dragon are some of my faves. This is the only sushi place I go to! I’d recommend to anyone.

I would not recommend this place. The service was absolutely terrible. There was a teenage girl working and we had to ask her to wipe the table off(they were all visibly dirty) which should have been the first sign. She gave me a strange look and went to get a wet rag wiping the table but knocking crumbs onto our chairs. My wife and I ordered six rolls including a special roll listed on the board behind the chef. We ordered edimame, salad and soup. It was only after a few minutes that our salads and edimame were brought out but no soup. We waited quite a while for that soup. Finally she brought 5 of our rolls but no soup. She said they are just finishing making the special roll. We had to ask for our soup and she finally brought it out saying«I thought I had already given it to you». We had to ask for a second set of chopsticks(had given us one set plus and opened wrapper with no sticks inside) and soy sauce. She got each thing individually and each time she went to get something it literally took 3 to 5 minutes. So we sat waiting for soy sauce while most of our sushi was setting in front of us. Then we asked where our special roll(baked lobster crab roll) was. She again said it is probably still being made and she’ll bring it right out. It was painfully obvious after 20 minutes that they had forgot to make it. Since we had eaten all we wanted of what was delivered I finally went up to the bar and told the waitress we had finished our meal and we’d take our bill for what we ate. She rang us up for an including the special roll we never got. She said«he’s almost finished making it now». I asked her to take it off the bill and after a short and unhappy discussion with the chef she removed it from the bill. We paid, tipped and left never to return. Mind you, there are about 7 tables and a sushi bar/counter here. Only four parties were here during most of our meal, so it was not very busy. We moved to one of the outside tables after ordering our food. Music playing during Romeo’s 175th year festival– that was the best part of our meal. No beer or sake. Ginger dressing was bad tasting. We also found it incredibly strange that they make their sushi rice without rice wine vinegar which had it lacking in much of the traditional flavor in sushi. One of our cups, one of our plates and our sushi platter were all badly chipped(a health code violation I believe as it can harbor bacteria) Really bad service and pretty amateur sushi at best. Couldn’t tell you about their special rolls because we never got ours. We also got to witness the waitress debating with another couple seated next to us about their use of a coupon. It sounded just like one of the other reviews posted about this place. We told several people that walked by considering going in how bad the service was. We were truly dismayed at how incompetent the staff seemed here.

Had a similar experience as Leo S. Ordered $ 85 of takeout, my wife sent me to pick it up with a coupon for free spring rolls. She of course notified the waitress of her intentions on the phone and the waitress said she would include 8 spring rolls with our order. Picked up order, brought it home… no spring rolls. Drove back to the restaurant and was informed that the coupon was dine-in only, but they would see what they could do since the waitress had promised them on the phone. The cook in the kitchen, I understand to be the owner, blew up at the waitress right in front me saying that this will not happen again we’re going to go broke giving away free spring rolls, etc. etc. I offered to pay for the spring rolls to try to make the situation a little less awkward but she insisted I take them free because that’s what she told my wife. I ended up getting 2 dinky spring rolls free with my $ 85 order. The sushi rolls we ordered were good, but I’m going to do my best to never support this business again.

I am super stoked Romeo finally got a sushi place. I visited back in June and I have to say it was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly, especially the girl at the cash register! She was super rad. We ordered tuna rolls, salads, miso and cheese wontons, all of which were really delicious and made a great lunch! I will come back to this place when I visit Romeo again for sure!

Ate here while on a weekend get away with my husband. we tried a few things and loved everything! It was slow but staff was kind and helpful. Kind of slow but we were in no hurry so it was no big deal. Prices fair and food was fresh and tasty. Try the Bull Dog So darn good as I write this I want to go back and eat some more!
