This place used to be the best place for dollar burgers treat on a Wednesday night. Sure they charge you for every nook and cranny you would put on the burger like a sauce or onion or tomato etc. But it was a great tasting burger if … you went in the evening hours because it was good and juicy, the day cook anytime before 5 o’clock cooked them… leathery like, THEN they stopped the fantastic onion rings they had so NOW, you can only get fries maybe seasoned if you want but that’s it. we stopped going there when we could not make it at night because we were not going to accept any more of the bad burgers at lunchtime and before 5. so after not going there for maybe 6 – 7 months we went last night January 7th2016, expecting a great hamburger quarter pounder, we’re offered a NEW as they said, slider… starting that night, that was the most disgusting experience we’ve ever had the slider as they call it was literally the size of a quarter(THEMEAT), the bun was a BIG dinner roll and the pickle was bigger than the meat and thicker. Sure they charged only a dollar and included the pickle and onions for that lol but if you are looking for a deal you be better off going to White Castle it’s better quality and it’s only $ 0.89 we are done going to YOUNGERS!!! I put this on Facebook and a picture of the … Bun… because you can’t even see the meat all you see is a bun and a pickle how pathetic is that !!! this place went downhill fast! Sure you have the cutesy waitresses that has a stupid giggle and are polite but the quality of the food is a total zero and by the way don’t order a Bloody Mary from them that’s absolutely tasteless you be better off ordering a beer and leaving.

Great little place that makes a mean bloody mary, and has a solid menu. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out.

It has been awhile since my last visit and wow! Layout and menu have changed for the better. My dinner was great and the service was great.

I was here last night and they were very busy. We got there before the big rush of people, so we were seating quickly and the waitstaff was terrific, but everything took an exceptionally long time(over an hour) and the food was just barely up to par. My macaroni and cheese, which was pretty bland, was served cold, but they did reheat it upon request. Another person at my table was given cold french fries. I also saw a pizza come out with a big hole in it, which did not present well. The pizza that the person at my table ordered was pretty good, but not amazing. It seems the kitchen was really having a difficult time last night.

I simply don’t understand how this place is still open. The wait to be seated is always long regardless of if tables are full or empty. So on my most recent visit, I finally just asked the bartender if I could grab a table since the hostess was MIA. In another 15 minutes, the table was finally cleaned. True, I could have grabbed a different already cleaned table, but I didn’t want to sit oddly too close to another couple. Everything seemed to move in 15 minute increments that day. Order a beer, 15 minutes, receive beer. Ask for a menu, 15 minutes, get menu. Oops, she forgot the kids menu, 15 minutes, get kids menu. Once we could finally order, the food came out in an appropriate time BUT we ordered pizza and never received any plates, silverware, or napkins. And for those items, we had to wait while our food cooled. The food was, and is always, average at best. It isn’t worth the hassle and the beer selection is sub par. If our waitress had so much as smiled or showed any level of personality maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad. Overall, this was my last visit. Bottom line, if you are in Romeo and want beer and a burger there is one other place to consider — and its always pretty good. Otherwise, I’ll drive the 15 minutes into Rochester where better restaurants exist.

Going to Younger’s used to be the highlight of attending the Peach Festival but my visit there today put a fork in that. It’s Saturday and not many people at the Peach Festival, there are plenty of seats, yet we have to stand in line for 15 mins to get a table. We had three different waitresses waiting on us no one knew what was going on. It took over an HOUR to get our meal and the corned beef was so salty you could barely eat it. We told one of our waitresses and she just shrugged us off no offer to replace or take it off of our bill, which of course, I was given the wrong receipt so not sure what the waitresses name was I got someone else’s receipt. Totally messed up and they were NOT that busy. Gave me the wrong(too little) change back on and on terrible service and food. The bathrooms are horrible cannot even fit two people in there. UGH gone downhill never going back.

I went here for the St. Baldricks Goober and the Peas show and event. Goob was good as usual, but Youngers didn’t impress me much. We were upstairs and it was dark and dank. It was dirty in there too, especially the bathroom. I can’t knock it too much as this was the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day. The beer prices were average but they didn’t have any good flavors upstairs; we had to go downstairs for that. We didn’t get any food so I cannot comment on it. We’ll be back for St. Baldricks events but that would be it.

Younger’s food is delicious. The perch tasted as fresh as off the hook, yum. Thanks to our server Melissa and Sammy the manager. They really treated us right!

The stars are for the piano bar more than anything else, otherwise it would’ve gotten less stars. Came here with the BF to meet ups some people for a birthday night out. This one was a tough one for me. We didn’t actually come here to eat, we came here for the piano bar, which if you don’t know, is upstairs. We walk in to another totally split in half room at about 6:45. Half quiet restaurant, and the other loud bar area with more seating and 3 giant extra-long tables. I thought those tables were cool right away, as that is the problem with most bars is trying to fit a lot of people to eat and drink in one area. We were shooed into the bar area by a hostess when we told her we didn’t want to eat, but were waiting for friends for the piano bar(doors open at 7, set starts at 8). We found an empty 4-top and sat down. Our waitress came right over, and I literally watched her turn in to a bitch as my BF was telling her we weren’t eating, only having a drink and waiting for 2 other people. At that point, I was still considering an appetizer, but watching her go from smile to perfect resting bitch face, decided fuck that. We ordered beers. The upstairs is WAYCOOL!!! It’s $ 15 to get in, and it’s all tables and it’s a huge area, all flat black paint, with a huge stage up front for the pianos. They have their own bar and bathrooms up there, as well as a real nice deck for the smoking persuasion. We had a complete blast! The piano guys are terrific and the crowd was fun and participating in dancing and other shenanigans! Overall the night was great and would definitely go back to the piano bar any time! /Piano!!!

We stopped in at Younger’s last month before and after walking Terror On Tillson Street. We sat at the bar and had the Younger’s White Pizza and Jack-O-Traveler Shandys. I highly recommend both. The service was good considering how busy they were. I asked our waitress this past summer if Younger’s was under new management or ownership because I’ll agree things seem to have gone downhill a little since they first opened. Their service could be better and their menu could be broader. Even so, I appreciate Younger’s just for being there. It’s as if Younger’s was airlifted from Royal Oak or Rochester and set down in Romeo. If you don’t live in a small town or outlying area to the north, you’re probably not as appreciative. Don’t go here during the Peach Festival if you need fast service or have no patience for Peach Festival chaos.

Horrible food and even worse service. Took over an hour for our food to arrive, kids meals were brought a full 30 min before our food. We had to have them box it to go because the kids are toddlers and had long finished eating, and had ran out of patience. This is on a Sunday night between 6 and 7 and I would say the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Server didn’t provide silverware or side plates for our appetizers, one of which was supposed to be chicken fritters and turned out to just be a fancy name for frozen chicken tenders, with no sauce. Got home to eat our boxed food and my husband wouldn’t even touch the sand which because it looked so nasty. I had the lemon chicken dish, which was absolutely nothing like described on the menu. Actually, pretty much nothing we got was as described on the menu. Pretty bad, especially because I felt compelled to write a review, which I never do.

I’ve lived in Romeo for most of my life, and Younger’s has significantly gone downhill over the past few years. The burgers are nowhere near quality, and I’ve had quite a few rude waitresses. The last time I went there(and it will be the last), my family and I politely waited over 20 minutes for the bill. I had to go up to the bar to ask for it as our waitress looked at our finished table but would not walk over. Also, I’ve heard many horror stories about how employees are treated and do not support a business that isn’t fair to the workers. Overall, I would not recommend going to this establishment if you’re stopping in Romeo or from this town.

Well we got out of Younger’s before we got all that much older, but not that much sooner. We put in too much time for much too little a reward. Yes, the peach festival in Romeo is on. So what? They have festivals there from time to time and the restaurants in the area should be ready for events like this. But Younger’s seemed to be badly mismanaged and the staff, of which there were more than enough really did not know how to handle the customers and seemed not to have been trained at all. Let me describe. We arrived and followed a family of six in the front door. There were several empty tables available, but in deference to others that might be waiting we looked around for someone that was seating customers. We walked past a banquette and several larger separable tables. Now you would think that a host or hostess would be at the front door, right? Nope. So as we wandered to the back of the restaurant and did not see such a host or hostess, we saw a table that we could occupy and then we heard a voice from near the back door of the restaurant telling that there was a short ten minute or so line for seating. And then we saw a line and the party of six that had come in before us waiting on that line. Before I move on to what happened next, let’s talk about particle theory. Have you ever heard the term«Brownian Motion?» If you haven’t, here is a link that describes it and there are a few explanatory videos that demonstrate the random collisions of particles in enclosed areas and the mathematics behind the randomness of collisions of particles in such an environment. Here’s the link: I mention this because there is no way to describe the actions of the servers today without referring to Brownian motion. Collisions were random, uncontrolled and none of the servers seemed to know why they were headed in any given direction, what they were supposed to be doing and they did not either prepare for new guests nor did they supply the necessary items that guests needed in order to finish their meals. The Brownian motion started the minute we walked in the door, throughout the meal service and up to and including the amount of time it took to get a check and then to pay. So we got on the line, and since most of the parties on it were looking for large tables, and because there were a few of them, we found our way to the front of the line in about ten minutes. The entire time we were on the line, nobody parsed the line to find out if there twos, threes, fours, fives or sixes. So it wasn’t until they seated the party of six at one of the many tables of six-tops that were available, that they got to us, the only deuce on the line. So when they asked us how many there were in our party, they immediately placed us at the banquette table that we passed on the way into the restaurant. OK, well although we wasted ten or more minutes on line, we were hungry and wanted to eat and then we waited another ten minutes for a server to finally come over to our table. And then it took another ten minutes for someone to come back to take our order. But then it took another 25 minutes for our two sandwiches to make it to the table. When my iced tea arrived, some time in between ordering and delivery of the sandwiches, I noticed that there was no sugar or artificial sweetener on the table. I tried to flag down one of the many servers that were randomly milling around to get sweetener, but I was unable to do that. Happily, my wife usually carries some Splenda with her, so we fended for ourselves. Then after we had almost given up on being served, our sandwiches finally arrived. My wife told the server that we had no setups(fork, knife, spoon, napkin, etc.) and eventually, minutes later we were given those. And then my wife said«I was supposed to get Cole slaw with my sandwich. I said«me too.» and we spend the next few minutes trying to get the attention of one of the myriad of servers that were milling around aimlessly and colliding with one another to come to our table. «We were both supposed to get Cole slaw with our sandwiches», my wife said. «Oh». replied our wait person. «That is just an option», she said. My wife looked at me incredulously. We want that, I said. My wife said her sandwich was just OK and I would describe my California Chicken Sandwich the same way. It was just OK. The fries it came with were lukewarm when the sandwich arrived and greasy and cold by the time the utensils made it there. And from my seat I noticed that others at other tables; 1) had not setups, 2) complained about and were eventually served Cole Slaw, 3) waited a long time to sit down, and 4) waited even longer to get served. Younger’s needs a manager badly. The servers seem inexperienced and untrained and the entre system is defocused and pays little to no attention to customers. There is no reason to waste so much of the customer’s time.

My husband and I were in the area and we’ve tried a few other restaurants downtown so I figured let’s try this one! They have a ‘restaurant’ area, tavern area, upstairs, and a deck outside. I wish the weather would have been nice out so we could have sat out back on the deck. We sat at the bar and our waitress was none too friendly. The only reason we went is because I saw online Wednesday’s is dollar burgers. Too bad we were just handed a menu and not told their special of the day. I guess if you like burgers, this place is for you. We found the menu not to be very diverse and prices are a bit expensive for a bar. We aren’t in Troy or the like. We asked about any specials(mind you, the waitress took forever to come back and there were only two or so other people sitting at the bar) and lo and behold, they did have dollar burgers! I was pretty shocked when tomato and onion were .75 cents each and sauces .50 cents! As soon as we ordered, our food was ready! It was so quick! I got the portobello burger and it was amazing! It almost tasted like meat! The bun was nice and toasted and the seasoned fries… to die for! I would have to say best seasoned fries I’ve had. The service wasn’t too great. It took us a while to get beers also. Another waitress even cashed us out. If you’re looking for good, inexpensive food and great service… I say go next door to The Office Pub. I can’t wait to go out on the deck in the summer but I think we would only come out for dollar burger night if we wanted to eat.

When we arrived at the place, it was busy, and we were informed there would be a 15 minute wait. I left my boyfriend to save our place in line(since they did not take names) and went to the bar to order us drinks. The bartender brought the drinks and then asked me in a suspicious way where I was taking them. The implication was that I was buying for someone under aged. I found that unprofessional. If they are concerned about underage drinking or anything else, then they need to monitor what is happening without making a paying customer feel like they are being scrutinized.

Dollar burger day was our favorite! The quality has been slacking a little. And the price is getting a little high too. Two pieces of bacon on your burger during«Dollar Burger Day» costs $ 1.50… two pieces of bacon. A slice of cheese is $ 1.00. Five stars if you bring back $ 1 burgers!

I’ve been dropping in on an inconsistent schedule for just under a year now, and I have to say I have no complaints, though they have never wowed me. Situated right in downtown Romeo, it’s a quick trip when I’m staying out that way. I’ve yet to have a bad meal or drink, the building is clean and the service is friendly. It has that small town feel of «the only bar in town» even though Thee Office Pub is right there as well. The drinks are like the kind you can get anywhere, nothing too out of ordinary. Younger’s is a great place for an adult family to have dinner and a few drinks right in town. I like it.

I will update the review for this place once a disputed charge on my credit card situation gets cleared up. I’m really hoping they don’t think I left that waitress a $ 100 tip on an $ 82 bill… stay tuned! Youngers handled my issue of charging my credit card with complete professionalism. Nikki, the manager, was very pleasant and apologetic and also very helpful. The problem was solved and my money was credited to my account… The only reason I’m giving them only 3 stars for clearing this very important matter is for the mere fact that someone at that establishment actually forged my name on a credit card slip! Not good! Pay attention people! You never know who will try to screw you. As for our St. Patricks Day festivities at Youngers. We had a terrific time, and a terrific waitress Mary. She never left us wanting for anything, and for as busy as it got, she did a very good job. It was a beautiful day and one of the best St. Patricks day I’ve had in a long long time! I willd definitely go back!
