Stopped by on 6÷14÷16 only to find the place closed at 8:40pm. I looked in and staff was cleaning and said it was closed making hand signs as if they where frustrated. Maybe they should change their hours posted on the window to 8:30pm. Oh well ill take my money else where

OMG this place is sooo S L O W! Waited in line for 20 mins. There were 3 people ahead of me!!! Every time I come here they give me different size for minis and regulars. They even wrap up the sandwich slow.

First off, terribly slow service. Waited ~20 mins for a sandwich, while at the same time, there were multiple people walking out. The guy who was taking the orders was talking to me like I was one of his friends, and not in a good way, very unprofessional, also not wearing a name tag or any JM branded apparel. The two working the front could not figure whose sandwiches where whose. There were multiple sandwiches that came up to the register made totally incorrect, leaving the customer frustrated. All this due to the unprofessional«bro» that took our order. In the end, the only representative I can stand by is the cook. She made our sandwiches well, and brought them out to us. All in all, will not be visiting this location again. Poor excuse for a chain sandwich shop.

Their subs are great. Love the Italian and it’s great if you add chipotle mayo to it. Meat and bread is always fresh and delicious. Only downfall is their soup is not fresh. Last time I was there I asked for soup they said if I really wanted it they could open a bag and microwave it. Yuck. Besides the soup everything else is delicious.

Very disappointed, and confused, by the level of «douche-baggery» being displayed by the jag-offs they have working here. The owners should be ashamed of themselves, because it looks like this has been going on for awhile at this establishment, according to the other reviews– my bad for not looking at them before walking into this dump. It started when I walked-up to the«ordering side» of the counter and the frumpy looking gentleman behind the counter, who finally stopped his conversation with his buddy in the back to take an order, says«what’s up?» Now… I know I look(and am) cool enough to warrant that kind of welcome, lol, but don’t say«what’s up» to any customer, ass clown. But, I play along and tell him what I want, and he pulls out my bread… which he then proceeds to cut like he’s blind– he started way at the top of the back part of the bread then went at about a 45-degree angle downward toward the front. So now I have a completely whacked canvas for my sandwich… it actually looks like a hatchback car, but I don’t say anything. He threw on the meat and cheese and passes my Prius to the next village idiot to slop on some haggard looking lettuce and tomatoes which looked about as fresh as my dogs turds after I feed him table scraps the night before. This genius actually does a decent job, until I asked for yellow mustard… which for some asinine reason they keep in the back and have to walk about 15 feet there and back to grab(I can’t fault this place for doing that, however, because they all do that)…he comes back and pours about a tub full of mustard on the sub, slops the thin top part of the bread on top of everything and cuts and wraps it. I could already see the mustard pouring out of the sides of the bread and making the paper wet. BUT, I chuckled to myself and paid knowing I wouldn’t be returning here. I didn’t even get a «thanks for the order» or anything gracious whatsoever. I’m not returning and I suggest you stay away from this debauchery as well.

If I could give this location — 5 stars I would cause they’ve earned it. I live near a Jersey Mike’s by Rt 59. That location always has good sandwiches, fresh & pretty tasty. I work in Romeoville not far from this store so I figured it would be decent also. Couldn’t be more wrong. I usually get the Big Kahuna chicken cheese steak minus peppers and marinara sauce added. These morons have screwed it up before, even when I specify exactly what I want. They almost always put extra peppers and put in red relish instead of marinara sauce. And the sub never tasted as good as ones I’ve had from other locations. I’ve never asked them to make it right, anyone who’s watched the movie Waiting a few times understands why that is. So it happened again recently, and I figured for almost $ 10 they would have no problem fixing it. Wrong again. They sent the second one out with peppers again and a side of salsa instead of red sauce, obviously intentional. Who knows what else might have been in there, I didn’t even touch it. I asked to speak to the manager and was told to email them about it. Are you kidding me? I called back the next day to speak to Rob, the manager there, and was left on the phone for 15 minutes before I hung up. Obviously the head moron… that explains a lot about the service there, which I see other people have noticed as well. Avoid this store like a heart attack, they suck!

Bread is dry. Meat is way too salty and processed. Even though I hate subway it is better. Jimmy johns number one.

This place is awesome! Best tasting sub’s ! The manager cares about the quality of the food prepared! They have new employees but I’m not going to say anything bad about them they are learning and trying! Good stuff way better than subway!

I’ve eaten here before and enjoyed the food and service. The employees this time though… so not into paying attention to the customers that they rang my mini and drink up as a large with chips and a drink. I thought DANG, expensive little sandwich… and while I was eating, I looked at the receipt. They were apologetic about it and credited my account and then charged me the correct amount but I’m not seeing the credit on my account YET when I access my bank(I see the wrong charge AND the right charge!) so something isn’t right. I’m not real thrilled about this. It was my debit card and I’m cash-strapped at the moment. I better see that credit of almost $ 10 very soon! The sandwich was fine but today I had«digestive issues», not sure if it’s related to the sandwich or not but I haven’t eaten anything since then so I’m guessing it was the sandwich that upset my stomach. I don’t think I’ll go to this location again. It’s funny how 1 bad experience can ruin it forever.

I don’t like sandwich meats. There is something about cold cuts that just bother me. Stopping in here was taking a huge risk. What if its like Jimmy Johns? Wait! What if its like Potbelly? I had to try it. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. Breaded chicken, provolone, and marinara burning hot on a roll. It was good. I wish there were more veggie options. Oh. And they sold Tasty Kakes!!!

********WARNINGSOMEFOULLANGUAGEUSED!******* I do not like to review chains but since this is a new chain to Chicagoland I may as well. First the steak sandwhich is down and outright disgusting! They put sauce on it that tastes like some kind of salad dressing, and you get very little meat, which is good because the meat tastes like crap! I also tried the Italian sub and that was pretty good. The meat was fresh and so was the bread, this is waaaay better than stupid Jimmy Johns or aweful Subway. My problem is the prices are way too high. I would highly recommend God Father’s Eatery in Lockport instead. It is way cheaper and the sandwichs are even better, see my other Unilocal reviews for location. Jersey Mikes has good qualities and bad ones, if you are too lazy to drive to Godfathers, then I recommend this place if you have the money to spend, since it is a rip off. Just stay away from that terrible steak sandwich! ***********UPDATE************** I want to throw in an update without doing the official update on Unilocal.I have now been here two more times and I have to say I am not impressed and actually I just changed my stars on this place from 3 to 2 stars. This place gets two stars because the staff is really friendly and the meat and cheese is not too bad. Well the first time I had this place(right around my review) I was kinda impressed with the Italian sub(or whatever it is called), so I have been back two more times and ordered the same, very expensive, sandwhich, and man was I pissed! The first occassion they loaded the damn sandwhich with a shit ton of mustand and pickles. The red pepper sauce is not very good either, so I did not enjoy the sandwhich because I could not taste the meat and cheese because it was drowned in yellow slop and tons of the red pepper junk. The second time I refused to allow them to put anything on the sandwhich besides meat and cheese, well this time I got old bread, yes OLDBREAD! I know it was old from the taste, the smell, and the fact that when I touched it flakes of bread crumbled off. I was so pissed that I posted the pic on Facebook to show my Jersey Mikes loving friends what low quality sandwhichs looks like, and they wanted over $ 12 for this fucking thing! Not only that you are pressured into leaving a tip when you pay with a card. What the hell employees at Subgay and Quizblows, and Shitty Johns do not accept tips, why does this crappy corporate place accept them?! Why pay a tip to someone making your sandwhich if it is not a ma and pa location? Smh! Well I left a tip anyway because I am sure the employees expect it and I do not blame them. How about this Jersey Mikes, try paying your employees more so there is not need for a tip. Ok enough of the tip rant because it makes me feel shitty complaining too much more about that, I just find it funny. I felt ripped off by getting non-fresh bread at more than retail value, especially thanks to the tip! By no means am I a cheapskate with tipping. I tip delivery driver minimum $ 5 when I get food delivered and I tip waiter/waitresses 20% minimum. I just have a huge problem tipping Jersey Mikes, a corporation. Anyway, I am mainly upset about the food. ROFL! How about ordering your sandwhich«Mike’s Way?» Which is when they pile on a huge heaping pile of lettuce all neatly LOL. Well if you want it «Mike’s Way» I hope you are a fan of lettuce! «Mike’s Way» what a joke!!! I will never eat here again that is for sure.

So I finally got to try this place after months of wondering what the deal was with Jersey mikes. Omg was this a fail. I had the Italian sub. This sandwich has absolutely no flavor to it at all. The sandwich was covered with shredded ice berg lettuce. I spent 26 dollars on lunch for two. Jimmy Johns tastes much better than Jersey Mikes. The cookies are a joke. They are very small. The cheese is sliced so thin that you don’t even taste it on the sandwich. Not impressed at all. New Jersey does not know how to make a sub. Chicago sandwiches are way better! Save your money and go somewhere else.
