Kehe’s customer service is without question the worst I have ever experienced. Every time the store I work for has ordered from them, it has been a complete debacle. It is painfully obvious that they have no interest whatsoever in working with small businesses. The last time we ordered from them,(hopefully our final order with them) we were informed that part of our order was sold out. In order to meet their minimum order, we had to add more. This is fine, and has happened several times before. However, they proceeded to pad our order to MORETHANDOUBLE what it was originally. This included items we have NEVER ordered from them(we order beverages exclusively, and they inexplicably added a case of horseradish). Even better, when the order showed up they demanded we take the entire order or none at all. We were not allowed to take simply what we had actually ordered and send the rest back. So we were faced with the following choices: A: Spend more than twice what we had budgeted for beverages that week. B: Disappoint our customers by not having the selection of beverages we normally stock, AND lose money on beverage sales for god knows how long until they sent a corrected order. Feel free to make your own ethical judgements, but in my book this borders on extortion. Eventually our sales rep showed up(he was, I believe our third rep since we had started using Kehe. I have a feeling we were being shifted around to the lowest rep on the totem pole) and offered us absolutely nothing. I think he felt relieved we finally seemed fed up and ready to move on to another company. The moment we find another distributor that carries the brands we need, we will be moving on from Kehe.
