Very good food, service & portions. Only negative could be if you forget to bring cash. They do not accept credit cards.

This is typical diner food, no doubt about it. But the portions are huge, the food is good, and the price is right! I got the Farmers Omlet, a 3 egg Omlet with ham, onions, peppers and hash browns inside. They wrapped all that up inside the egg like a burrito and it filled the plate! I couldn’t eat it all, and I’m a big eater! On top of that it came with 2 pancakes!

I had some time before a flight out of Detroit due to a delay so I thought I would drop in for a quick breakfast here. They had glowing reviews so I figured it was a safe bet. The staff was great and the service was awesome. I wish I could say the same about the food. I ordered an omelet with bacon cheese and mushrooms. While the omelet was light and fluffy I’m pretty sure the cheese was Velveeta and the mushrooms were from a can. The coffee and home fries were good though. Really a shame.

They have the best omlettes! Anything with ham in it is my favorite! Oh and gotta try the bean and ham soup… it’s better than what mom used to make. Prices are very reasonable and you get alot for your money. Always end up taking home my food. If your near the airport and you’re hungry I would highly recommend coming here! Coffee and other drinks are a very good price. Friendly staff and fast service.

On my family’s last day of our Detroit trip we were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat a cheap, easy breakfast. Thanks to my handy Unilocal app, I found Louie’s. A few miles away from the airport, Louie’s is a typical, small-town diner. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. To give you an idea of how cheap the place is — my dad ordered 2 eggs over easy, with wheat toast and THREE pancakes(as a side you can get potatoes, grits or pancakes! who’s ever seen pancakes as a side option?!) for a total of $ 3.95. Absolutely insane. The coffee was fresh and constantly refilled, all for $ 1 a cup. Too bad I don’t live near Louie’s; it’d certainly be the place I’d go for brunch every weekend. If you’re staying at the airport or looking for somewhere to eat before/after a flight, this is your place!

Great diner — HUGE portions. We were there for breakfast & didn’t know if we were supposed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves(we ended up seating ourselves). Our waitress was quick with our orders, the food was prepared quick, and my coffee was always full. The place was packed on a Sunday morning with what seemed to be blue-collar locals. You know a place is good when the parking lot is full!

Great Greasy Breakfasts and very reasonable prices. I always have enough for two days. The best thing is that everything seems to be served with thick slices of Dearborn ham.

Louie’s is excellent, great diner food. When you are looking for plain old good american home cooking, go to Louie’s. My hubbie has tried almost everything, and he loves it all. The kids love breakfast at dinner. And me, I always get the grilled chicken salad.
