I wasn’t expecting much when I saw the price of the rooms here, but this isn’t a pleasant place to stay. I would think that because it’s so close to the airport that the upkeep would be decent and maybe more up to date. Nope. The only reason I had to choose this place is that I couldn’t spend hundreds of dollars on better rooms with a family of six and still be able to feed them for two nights. Now where should I begin? THEGOOD: It’s within my budget. It’s close to the freeway and home(our home was being renovated and I still needed to get the kids to school) THEBAD: The room reeks of cigarette smoke. You would think they would invest in those plug in air fresheners. The TV isn’t HD The faucet for the sink was loose and felt if you jerk the handle too hard, you will break it. The room itself is in terrible need of updating with fresh coating of paint, carpeting, and window treatments. My room’s curtains were torn at the top. The sign boasts of having WIFI but my son and I couldn’t get a signal to use it. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz-Carlton, or even a Holiday Inn, but I wasn’t expecting this place to remind me of the cheap motels along Michigan Ave in Inkster, MI WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT

Only because I can’t give it a negative star. First off, this place should be called RODENTINN because I was greeted with creatures I had never encountered before and they had wings! The two things that kept me from turning around and walking out was that I arrived at 4am and check out was 11 and that I had already paid(HOTWIRE… that review is next). It was listed as a 2 star hotel! LMAO bulllllllllshit. The place is disgusting. I removed the comforter and slept on top of the sheets. I took pictures, I hope I can add them here?

I checked into the motel very late(actually very early in the morning). I chose this motel because it was a Choice Hotel and proximity to the Detroit Airport. I had reservations. The review warning folks to stay away is correct. The room was absolutely disgusting. I am an Afghan War veteran and have slept in nasty places, but this room was worse. I understand the cheapness of the room would be a lower grade room, but I expected clean sheets(yes), clean toilet(not really), clean sink(yes), clean counter top by sink(no), clean bath tub(no), clean shower curtain(hell no), vacuumed floor(not really), and safety(no). The bad décor, bad smell, poor tv, was expected. The bathroom counter was dirty with dust, large particles, and looked like it was never wiped down. Same with the toilet. The shower tub was not just old, but I don’t think it was wiped down as hairs were on it. The shower curtain was filled with dirt, grime, and even what looked like to be a large blood stain. The furniture had lawyers and inches of visible dust. The floor was mostly clean, but there were large particles on it. The sheets were clean. The heater was broken and even the screen was torn off and laying to the side of it. The drapes were hanging off. The wooden door was so warped that one had to kick it open or shut, and there are marks showing the foot prints on both the outside and inside. The smoke detector had either white tissue or toilet paper sticking into to prohibit detection: not only is that dangerous, but illegal! I have stayed at Rodeway Inns before, but this location was the worst ever. The breakfast was sad; no coffee out, but there was hot water and tea. There were bread slices, but I did not see a toaster. The cereal was cinnamon toast crunch(yummy) and cheerios

This is excellent value for the price. Nowhere near a luxury hotel, nonetheless I paid only $ 39 power night and it was clean and safe with a wireless connection.
