Love the historic feel. U can get in and get out fast. Usually has what u need. Prices are little higher but worth it for convenience and the fact ur supporting ur neighborhood store makes it ok. The guy /owner? is always pleasant and ready n willing to help u. Thank u

Want to go back in time? This place brings you back in time when you walk in, but at the same time still carry today’s items. They have a selection like nobody around. The staff is friendly and helpful. Love this place!

this is a true mom and pop hardware store one of the few still around. i generally go in when im in a hurry to get something or if i need keys made i had about 2 dozen keys made and every one was perfect. prices are good and sales help is friendly. one draw back to the local hardware store is there prices tend to be a bit higher as they can not buy in quantity like a home depot. but don’t get your keys made at home depot as they don’t generally work. would recommend this store to anyone in the area

I have passed this place driving a million times. I’m trying to support more local businesses so I’ve been using them when I need something. When you think of an old school, back in the day hardware store, this is what you would invision. Creeky wood floors, the old pet dog laying arouund the store, friendly helpful staff in the original building. Anything you need, they prob have. Proces are not as competetive as the big box hardware chains. I had some screens repaired and didn’t bother to ask about price when I dropped them off. That was my mistake. I paid north of $ 100 to get a few screens replaced. I thought that was rather high when I can purchase the screen material myself for $ 5 and do it myself. I would go back when I need items but I’ll be sure to ask prices before I purchase on the future.

Old time hardware store… Having never been a fan of the big box hardware chains(they are an evil necessity) if I get a chance to hit a small hardware store, I’ll always pick that over the big guys. This is partly due to the little known factoid that I used to work in one of these places as wee lad and actually learned a boat load of home repair shit that would come in handy when I got older. Agnew & Taylor is one of those musty, dusty old hardware stores where there are tons of things jammed into every corner of the place. Uneven floors and even an old mutt lounging around the place give you the aura of a Normal Rockwell painting. Super helpful people there and they had the obscure hardware pieces I was looking for — much to my surprise. Prices are average and you can’t beat the customer service– try that at the bog box places! Parking in the rear.
