Karts Indoor Raceway

I came here with my boyfriend on a date and it was a great experience. We went there late and they still treated us well. It was a nice raceway that was in a nice location. They had a big parking lot and all the staff were friendly. The only complaint I have is the customers that were there were very lowlife. The young kids were high and reeked of marijuana. However, the employee still let them race. Even though, they could of injured themselves. Other than that, it was a very nice experience. I truly recommend it.

Just visited this establishment on a holiday as the kids had off from school. We specifically go Wednesday’s because the kids ride for one hour for $ 30 per child (used to be $ 27). The manager said they do not honor the Wednesday promotion on holidays. Keep in mind they did during the summer and know where was it posted (excluding holidays).There was also another group of eight people right behind me that wanted the same package and they would not honor the rate for a group of 10. Being a business owner of 19 years I just find that to be poor business. So we left and went to air trampoline.

Good go-​kart and laser tag fun for a decent price.
Pros:
— Fun drift-​happy go go-​kart action.
— Fun laser tag.
— Fun air hockey table (though it’s defective).
— Good prices if you get the $ 50 family pack or daily specials.
Cons:
— Low number of staff for help, mainly for laser tag.
— Questionable food, though this is just a guess.
— Some arcade machines stole my tokens (luckily, only 75 cents).
First off: I review Karts Indoor Raceway positively because I went on a good day. The staff was generally helpful, and lines weren’t long because there weren’t many patrons. I’m sure my review would have been less kind if I had gone when there was a massive birthday party or with a bunch of a-​hole teenagers. But I didn’t, so I enjoyed it.
Now onto the review. Karts Indoor Raceway is located inside a boring tasteless office park. Otherwise, the location is good because it keeps prices down and provides a ton of parking.
Inside, you first see the entrance area, which features the front desk, a pricing board, registration computers, staff office, restrooms, and water fountain. The staff that day was somewhat cheerful but a bit inexperienced, and they were eager to guide us through the pricing and pick the best value based on what we wanted to do there.
The purchase and registration process (registration required only for karting) takes about 5 – 10 minutes for first time customers. Once you finish it, you walk past a hallway into the cafeteria, which sells fast food like pizza, hot dogs, and fries. Given that I never saw anybody buying any food when during my 4 hours there, I question the food quality. But I can’t say for sure, so don’t take my word for it.
Across from the cafeteria is roller bowling, which we did not do.
And once you pass the cafeteria through the double doors, you reach the go-​karts, arcade, and laser tag area.
Go-​karts here are quite different than I’m used to. I had never done indoor karting before this. I’ve only been to outdoor go karts at Staten Island Go Karts and Coney Island. Both locations have grippy concrete tracks. You never need to use your brakes at these tracks. If you need to slow down for a turn, you just lift off the gas.
At Karts Raceway, the track has a slick smooth concrete road surface with some challenging turns. The attendants tell you to brake at corners when the brief you before you race. Given my experience at the outdoor tracks, I ignored this advice to my detriment. In my first race, my go-​kart was sliding left and right, plowed straight in corners when I turned the steering wheel, and drifted wide at any opportunity. I even got stuck on a few hairpins when I overdrifted in attempts to pass cars in front of me. A lot of fun, but very slow.
I finally figured out on the last lap of my first race how to drive them. Basically, you need to drive them like real race cars. Brake firmly but smoothly at turns, turn smoothly, and accelerate at exits. Use your brake and gas pedal to steer the car.
In essence, this indoor track teaches young kids with no driving experience how to really drive, especially on slick surfaces. Most outdoor go kart tracks are strictly about keeping your foot on the gas pedal and turning. There really is no strategy other than getting the fastest kart. But at the indoor track at Karts Raceway, you really get a good feel of how to drive fast on slick surfaces.
In all, you get 6 laps of racing for $ 5 – 9, plus $ 2 – 7 for a daily or annual licence. AND they measure your lap times and give you a printout at the end, so you know how fast you’re going. Not bad.
Unfortunately, the quality of your racing session depends on who else is racing with you. When I went, there was a group of youths more concerned with messing around and taking selfies while driving (!!!). They often crashed, quite hard in many cases. As a result, the attendants had to stop the race for everyone just to turn the offending car around. We made sure to never join their session.
Laser tag was quite fun. In all, you get 5 minutes of either free-​for-​all or team laser tag for $ 5 – 8. There are a lot of obstacles in the rectangular arena to hide from or ambush your opponents. I haven’t played laser tag since the 90’s. Back then, I remember that you had to go all the way back to your base if you got hit. Here, you just wait 3 – 5 seconds after you get hit, and you can start shooting again. And you can’t get shot during these 3 – 5 seconds. Not bad.
The only problem is that lack of staff means you need to get an attendant to come start your laser tag session.
The small arcade areas is nothing to write home about. The only fun thing is the air hockey table. You get a lot of play time for $ 1.
In all, as long as you go on a good day, Karts Indoor Raceway can be a lot of fun for yourself or your family.

This has to be the dirtiest place I have ever been. The place stunk like burnt oil and the bathroom looked like they all took a dump; mind you the place was empty. I fear coming on a busy night.
On top of that, they don’t offer a military discount yet profess to be totally patriotic with military pictures up and a big marines sign.
Lastly, they make you pay $ 2pp for insurance but then make you sign a waiver stating you are not hilding them liable if anything happens or you cant ride. Disgusting all around. Don’t waste your money here. Go to boombers instead or find a place that honors our true heroes

We celebrated my little cousins birthday here. We didn’t do a package deal with the place just came in and paid for the deal we wanted. Everyone opted for the 5 for $ 52 deal per person. 5 games of laser tag AND 5 go kart rides. The young lady working the front desk was a bit confused at first the concept of each person in our group of 9 wanting to having their own 5 deal kept escaping her but after a second or twenty she got it. She checked us all in and we went on our way.
Arrived at about 2:30 there was one other group there at the time we assumed it wouldn’t be so much fun because no one else was really there. Wrong! That is exactly how you want it to be when you go. Within an hour the place started to get more crowded and we went from having the place to ourselves to needing to wait in lines. Even being skipped by a birthday party group who had some fast track tickets.
I did not like when we first arrived there were literally two staff members working (the girl who checked us in and a ghost whom after seeing once I could only catch the back of her head as she was leaving out of rooms). As the place began to crowd up more staff came in but you still had to hunt them down for things like laser tag and refunds when the arcade games stole your money. The tiny arcade section equipped with maybe 12 games and half of them didn’t work. Most games for an Out of Order sign after taking my tokens.
We tried hard to hold out eating anything from the concession stand because finding someone every time you wanted something was annoying and their hygienic practices are awful. I had to remind two of the young people to change their gloves after taking my money but before fixing my food or drink. They got it after the third time and after that no one in my group had to remind any of them of that again!
We had fun, left exhausted and not understanding how it took us all over five hours to get through the five deal it was a good time.

The track was kinda small, but the go-​karts went pretty fast.
A little expensive.
We went when no one else was there, so we had the tracks to ourselves which was pretty cool.
For 5 races, it cost about $ 34/​per person.
Didn’t try the food or anything else there.

Cool place if you like greasy food and good old family fun. I hope they get more stuff to do here soon it was kind of like a ghost town. But we had fun anyway.

Odd place the place is in the middle of a industrial park. The place always looks closed but if you go mid week the place is empty and you can have some fun. The karts go a good speed. Staff are sometimes not the most helpful but they often do try. You can get away with almost anything at this place as they really do not enforce the rules of the track. The track does become boring after about 2 races and the novelty of drifting and spinning out becomes routine. Good experience but over priced big time for what it is.

The price is a bit high and the track a bit too narrow. It can be fun for 1 or 2 races, but the track becomes monotonous after a while. Passing any other vehicle is extremely hard.
The food is ok but overpriced, and the arcade is pretty bad.
The staff is a redeeming quality however, as they are usually very nice and helpful.
Overall it is a good time, but not something that I would recommend doing on a regular basis.

When I went there with my friends, we went for some haunted house that they were having. When we walked in, we saw a group of workers (which were teenagers) taking selfies and eating pizza while all dressed up. Because the haunted house did not open until 7, we went go karting, which was pretty fun (but quick). So, when it was 7, we asked if the haunted house was open yet, and they said it would take a little bit longer and it would open some time between 7 and 8. We waited an hour, and we asked the worker what was up. First, he started showing us his phone with the time saying «It’s not 8 yet, it’s only 7:58.» He didn’t even say it politely, like «I’m sorry for the inconvenience sir». he said «I told you, it would open between 7 and 8. It could be 7, or it could be 8!» So, we asked for our refund, which was given to us and left, and on the way out, we still saw the «busy» staff members still taking selfies and eating pizza.

It’s a nice place to go to once a year. Because it can get very boring and the track is way to narrow it is very hard to pass people during the races. And it took forever for our food to be ready when we ordered it. I definitely do not recommend this place.

I came here with my family on $ 5 Thurs. There was a $ 2 (one time daily license fee) so $ 7 total. You could also pay an add’l $ 2 for a double car. We all had so much fun drifting and the occasional bumping of cars!
They have a small snack café where you can get pizza, hot dogs, hamburger, onion rings & fries. There was an arcade and a 2-​lane bowling alley which was okay. All in all we had a pretty good time.

I went to Karts on April 4^th 2013. It’s was me my sister and grandma. Karts is very well clean its has go karts which are electric and for kids 56 inches or taller get to go 25 mph. Once you turn 18 u can go from 30 to 35 mph. They have laser tag it’s a 5 min game it’s very cool. There is also a big arcade inside the store and on the race track. Just to mention the race track for go karts is inside. The staff was very nice and helpful if u need there help the will help you immediately. The prices are right where they should be. They are open late on the weekends. This is the 1 and only place to go for indoor go kart racing. Rain or shine u still start up that engine and ride

I ditto John’s review. This place is terrible. I brought my 5 year old today and it seams like the adults may have had a better time on the adult track. The child friendly track is small the karts don’t work and it’s run by high school kids. There is no real manager to even discuss your concerns. You wait for a long time as birthday party kids go in front of you, only 3 – 4 kids go at a time and thenwhen it’s finally your turn the battery on the karts die. My son had 3 races. Not one finished w/​out battery death and to top it off they stop the race with only 9 laps when you pay for 12. Do yourself a favor learn from other peoples mistakes. Don’t waste your time. I’ll never go back

$ 6 per race on the adult track (+$ 2 for a daily license). Each race is about 6 laps, max about 6 people per race. There is also a youth track for the young’ns.
The cars go anywhere from 16 – 20 mph (and I was gunning it!). They have a little arcade area, a «bowling» area for $ 5/​game. A snack area with the normal burger, pizza, hot dogs, fries, and ice cream. There is a small party area with a long table set up. There are also a few arcade games near the indoor track.
There was a bit of a wait when I went with my 4 cousins but wasn’t too long. It was pretty fun being able to drift during the turns ;) They have a no bumping policy but they don’t really mind as long as you don’t go out of control. Pretty fun for a new yorker who never drives =)

One of the most disorganized, mismanaged and chaotic businesses I have ever patronized. I have no idea why they are still in business.
Took my 3-​year old and 6-​year old there an a Saturday afternoon. Was not that crowded, but we waited on line for 45 minutes and only 3 people in front of us on the line actually got to race. Birthday parties kept cutting in and taking available karts. Employees were selecting people at random and most of the karts were left unused with each race.
Left after an hour of waiting with 2 very disappointed kids and not a second of racing. They did however refund my money without hesitation… they must do it often.
Don’t waste your time or money.

So, a bunch of us hit this place up recently and we had an absolute blast — it was like being a kid all over again…
The place is probably more for the young ones, but a bunch of adults can get out there and have some fun skidding around turns and banging into each other trying to get the lead. If the guy working there is being really cool, he will toss some powder on the track and then the real action begins since traction goes out the window.
The cars are pretty decent — they were much quicker than I thought they would be and although the people working their frown on bashing into each other, it is inevitable.
There are two tracks– one for the little kids and one for teens and up — located inside a warehouse ensures all weather action. The cost is pretty cheap after the sign up fee of like $ 15 — then I think it is $ 2 a race — well worth it to kill an hour.
They apparently host kids parties and such there and there is a snack bar if you are into that sort of thing.
Go for it — you’ll thank me!
