I don’t see how this bakery can have any good reviews. Went there Wednesday around 5:00 for a birthday cake. Place was empty, 2 women working there. They kept talking to each other and pretty much ignoring me. There was not much selection and they acted put out that I asked what kind of cakes they were. I settled on a cheesecake. Didn’t think it was possible to get a bad cheesecake but this bakery managed it. We threw it in the garbage after tasting it. Also tried a cannoli. The filling was awful and so runny, it was escaping the ends and ran out while eating it. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this bakery. Unfriendly atmosphere and stale, bad tasting baked goods.

My husband and I went by there last night, but they we closed. Their hours aren’t posted, and they don’t seem consistent with them. However, we went back today for their cheese danish, canolis, & cream puffs. Their cream puffs are absolutely delicious! ;D

For what it’s worth… this Prestano is pretty solid. I mean the one by me closed and there’s really no bakery around which kinda sucks. I mean really sucks! Every time I come in hardly ever do I have to wait too long if at all and I’m in and I’m out. I still have yet to try their Cheesecake but we’ve had their cookies and Italian bread and it takes care of our needs. He he. I feel like bakeries are dying which is ridiculously upsetting to me. I know call me old fashioned but bakeries in food stores and Costco and BJs don’t cut it for this old soul. Nothing beats a pot of fresh sauce, raviolis, some meatballs, braciole or sausage and some crusty Italian bread. So for now I can only hope that this Prestano’s stays open and doesn’t close up shop anytime soon. If they do close… we’re screwed!!!

The food is Okay but the service is horrible. Rose is rude and because of her I’ll NEVER buy from them again. The fat woman with glasses is stupid. Writes down an order & still gets it wrong. It’s overpriced and because of the rudeness I’ll make sure I let everyone i know not to go there ever!!!

Very average bakery, nothing more. Downgraded because in addition to their so-so quality(a lot of stuff seemed stale), their selection is impossibly small. Worst of all, service here is the pits!

A great bakery especially for Suffolk County! ! Alpine in Smithtown is #1. Prestano may be #2. The breads are great. Cakes are really good. Best Jelly Doughnuts in New York!!! Prices very reasonable.

Relatively small selection in my opinion. Bagels, rolls, cookies are all pretty good. Cakes are just mediocre. Average bakery, I wish they had more to choose from. Also, I sometimes question the freshness of some items.

This is a hidden jem for lunch. They have over a dozen signature sandwiches all served on their fresh roll or hero for a lot less than a deli and served with a side of potato, macaroni or coleslaw. Try The Mess.

Everytime I walk into this bakery, my mouth waters. I love the cupcakes here and it goes without saying that the cookies are to die for. A MUST try. I’m happy to make a stop at Prestano Bakery any day of the week!

Delectable cheesecake! Small and a little pricey but still very good.

This bakery is known for its cookies, bread and cheesecake not its cupcakes so if you venture here for the right items you will love it. I have been going to this bakery since I was 3 and always love to visit it now and again. The chocolate-chip butter cookies, whole wheat italian bread(Tuesdays only) and apple crumb are delicious. Happy eating!

I never saw this bakery open and running until this week. Of course, I gotta check it out(even if I’m not a baked goods lover — just a devoted ice cream enthusiast) The place is small, but it has the typical bakery cookies, breads, and such. I decided to go for a vanilla cupcake and red velvet cupcake. I was pretty hesitant because they didn’t look that delicious. I also got this humungO horse shoe shaped cheese strudel. How good? or bad? Let’s have a taste: Cupcakes — I’ve had wayyyy better cupcakes in my life. Including week old unrefrigerated stale cupcakes. Strudel — first bite was forgettable, but after a couple bites you keep reaching for it? Not very sweet and kind of addicting. Something good with coffee in the morning. I will return to have another try at other goodies. Hope is still there!
