I love this joint. It’s very nice inside and you can watch sports too. Try their Country Fried Steak. It is delicious and very flavorful. They also have the most awesome dessert, the Mud Pie is the perfect combination of cocoa and cream.

Service was terrible. Food was ok. We felt like we were bugging the staff, interrupting them from their laptops and cell phones. Ashley was the only one working outside of the cooks. She was fantastic.

1,364sqft OMELETTE, TOOMUCHFORTHETERMINATOR!!! In the early 1970s, Otto Lindsel left the forest of the northern west coast and moved to the Southern California area of the Antelope Valley to be nearer to his family. As he had many years of experience cooking for lumber jacks, it was natural that he would come up with the concept of opening a diner. This was the perfect retirement venture for him, thus creating the history of a great Antelope Valley tradition. Crazy Otto’s had also earned a reputation for having the biggest omelettes in town, which they decided to take to the next level in June of 1993. Crazy Otto’s Diner broke the world record for the largest omelette. The omelette was an astonishing 1,364 square feet! The restaurant broke the record again in 2002 with the help of over 200 local volunteers who assembled an omelet using 34,000 eggs, 200 pounds of cheese, 50 gallons of milk, 500 pounds of bell peppers, and 75 gallons of crushed tomatoes. The omelet spanned 1,850.9 square feet. STATS: Hours: Sunday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. — 8:00 p.m. Friday-Saturday 6:00 a.m. — 9:00 p.m. Plenty of Free Parking Flat Screen TVs Gift Certificates Available Souvenirs for Sale Catering & Banquets EXPERIENCE: Me and The Crew came to this No Man’s Land eclectic eatery for some chow before heading to The Feline Conservatory for a twilight tour down the route. Not on the main drag, then again, nothing is in this town, the parking lot is in raw form, it’s just dirt, and the interior décor is a Hodge podge of license plates from decades gone by and states throughout the US. Crazy Otto’s is not for the small tummy. Mostly booths occupy the grubbing space with several moveable tables, which we Tetrised tables as much as we could, there were just too many of us to sit all together, fortunately the booths and, makeshift extended table, were in very close proximity to one another, and we were basically the only ones in the joint. Although just one waiter, we felt welcomed and were taken care of in a friendly and effective way. All orders were taken and delivered fresh and hot, with no errors on the staffs’ part. Ya know, there’s always those who order something and realize they forgot to ask for this or that, no problem, everyone was well taken care of. I trod out of my, I don’t always eat beef, but…” guideline and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, feeling nostalgic being in a small town reminded me of summers gone by that were spent with relatives along the East Coast. Coz and I were addicted to the Cheesesteaks from a deli in Smalltown, USA back in the day and I just got a hankerin’ for one on this day. Although everyone was very happy with their choice of grub, I should have adhered to my beef guideline and stayed away from the Cheesesteak. Not what I was hoping for, luckily The Crew has some hardy eaters and my cheesesteak did not go to waste. I did keep the fries for myself and they were a little undercooked for me. I like my fries, including steak fries extra crispy on the outside, tender and lightly fluffy on the inner. These fries were lightly crispy on the outside and lots of fluff on the inside. Before we left, I checked out their dessert menu, and to what did my eyes see, but mud pie. Oh holly cow, me needs mud pie!!! Carpool bud was game for coming back for mud pie after our tour. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing, yet were well taken care of by our friendly server. The only downside was the mud pie seemed a bit«aged». The Oreo crust, cream topping, as well as a thin layer of ice cream peeled off like a layer of skin. And any flavor, was anything but flavorful. Sadly, I was sorely disappointed. Would I, «ever be back»? I’m not in any hurry, I’d most probably seek other eateries in the area, granted I ever visit No Man’s Land again.

Fabulous service. Very quiet and cute inside. Great coffee and the breakfasts are awesome. Omelette safe huge. And the sirloin steak and eggs is my personal favorite with a pancake instead of the biscuits and gravy. Though their sausage gravy for the biscuits is amazing. And the biscuits are very dense and buttery!

First time in & had a great experience. This place is cute & impeccably clean. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable & very efficient. Our food was hot & delicious & they serve a good cup of coffee. My only regret is I didn’t read other reviews first! To say the portions are generous, not accurate — they are huge. Go hungry & still be prepared to take leftovers home. As I said this was my 1st visit but definitely not my last. Oh & if you’re a carnivore you can’t beat their prime rib & egg special on the weekends.

Humongous plate of food, if you’re a large eater, and want a lot of food this is a place to go, prices are a little on the high side but worth it for what you’re getting. the only negative to them is there supposed to have wifi available but someone has decided that it’s no longer going to be available to the public. No matter how much you pay. but as long as you don’t want to make it a social gathering then its just fine

Flies everywhere, we spent more time swatting them away than we did eating the mediocre food. There was hardly anyone there and yet we still didn’t get much attention from the staff. Way too expensive for what it was and my kids didn’t even like their food. No more business from me.

They have excellent food and make sure it is always more than you can eat. However, their customer service is bad at best and I do not feel welcomed there. I have only been there twice but will not go again.

Wake up and smell the coffee… along with the bacon, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and everything else! So, I’m not typically a «breakfast person,» but Crazy Otto’s just may change that. This place is awesome! A whole mess of us came in here for a belated Mother’s Day breakfast together and we had a wonderful experience. This place is pretty small, but we were able to get their biggest table for the seven of us. I’ve been here before for other meals, but this was my first time here for breakfast. Immediately upon entry, we were greeted and seated in a cozy corner. We all had a reasonable amount of time to figure out what we wanted, and once we did, the waitress was promptly prepared to take our order. We were all foolish and ordered the items we wanted while forgetting that this place serves crazy-huge plates of food. Holy smokes, when all the food came out all of the plates filled the entire table, and the only thing I could think of was how many mornings of leftovers I was going to have! ;-) Just a tip: when you have a chance to come here make sure to split/share your meals with others in your party, unless you like leftovers. One of the best things about Crazy Otto’s is how original this place is, like a Mom and Pop restaurant with a homey feel. It has a real cool atmosphere with license plates on the walls, as well as totally awesome photos that I am very familiar with of historic moments that occurred at Edwards Air Force Base. Even more important is the originality of the food, not just the huge portion sizes, but also the freshness of the homemade meals. One thing that actually disturbs me about some of the other fast food chains is that their food all looks the same: totally processed meals, all of which are in perfectly identical geometric shapes, almost like it’s made on an assembly line(because it is). It’s unnatural if you ask me! Thank goodness that Crazy Otto’s is different. Well, we got just about everything you can imagine on the breakfast menu. I won’t go into details, since the pictures will tell you a thousand words. But in short, it was all totally delicious! In summary: the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was totally cool, and all the food was original and delicious. Five stars for me! We’ll be back.

I came here on a recommendation, since I was in the area. I love the Mom & Pop Family restaurant mood this place was putting out. I had the Top Sirloin and Eggs. It was one of the best steaks I’ve had at a restaurant. I was also able to catch a few innings of an MLB game, while killing some time, before heading home. The owners and staff were very professional and hospitable! Will definitely come back, when I’m back in the area.

Always went for breakfast and was never disappointed. The portions are INSANE so sharing is definitely doable. They also started 50% off military discounts on Thursdays! Way to really support the troops Crazy Ottos!

Stopped here with a group of about 12 after a special Edwards tour that was historically incredible. We were the only patrons when we arrived and others showed up after. Food and service was good. Portion size was good as many brought extra food hone. Nice décor too, better than expected considering the exterior.

The best coffee shop in town! Be sure to order half sizes, servings are gigantic which makes this place so great. Family friendly, tasty food & reasonable prices. A quick warning, this place is crazy loud and busy. Wait time to dine at least 15/minutes unless your lucky. Kids loved this place.

I’m not sure if the Crazy Otto’ s is under different ownership as the ones in Lancaster or what but, this one is sooooo bad! Service is horrible and the food is worse! My son talked me into placing an order to go(we had a 2 for 1 coupon and I understand why they hand them out!!) and I WILLNEVERGOTHEREAGAIN! I ordered a Hot Roast Beef Sandwich but that is definitely not what I got! I called to see if the order taker or cook remembered the order and what they gave me. Long story short, roast beef does NOT look, smell, or taste like MEATLOAF! Which is what I got with gravy sooo salty, it was inedible, along with a bunch of WHINING and a lot of excuses about«mistakes will be made», nothing about replacing my meal or my money! If they were busy, i could except this excuse but there were 2 other customers in there. Well, they can make all the mistakes they want, it just won’t be with my food or my money! There are too many places where they at least try to get it right!

It’s a little more pricey but the portion size is definitely fair for what you pay. The biscuits and gravy are, hands down, the BEST! Omelettes are delicious! Pancakes — yes please! I’ve yet to have something off of the menu that wasn’t satisfying! The staff is friendly and personable… and they are involved in the community! It’s nice to come to a local place and eat… even better when you know the owner’s really care about that community! The theme is fun and classy and it’s always clean.

Would not recommend. Atmosphere: This is where I give it one of the two stars. I like how the walls are covered in license plates. It had a nice roadside diner theme. However. The place was very dirty. There was food on the floors, curtains and the kitchen was near unsanitary. The parking lot is a dirt lot and the entrance over the curb isn’t visible, so you end up driving off the curb. Service: There aren’t enough people running/cooking/servicing this establishment. Two people for everything. No wonder the food is beyond bad. But we’ll get to that in a minute. The staff was friendly. The waitress was attentive and seemed knowledgable about the menu, but the other guy working spent more time texting on his phone than working. Food: The menu is too big. Two people running a restaurant like this can’t possibly expect to serve quality food when there are 100 options to choose from. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a baked potato with everything on it. There was also a side of mixed vegetables which seemed like came out of a bag from the freezer. The white gravy on the CFS was severely under seasoned. There wasn’t even pepper or salt in it. Just water and flour. The steak wasn’t very appetizing either. The baked potato was a plain potato cut in half with two tablespoons of butter, a cup of sour cream and some old jarred chives on top. This was beyond sad. My better half ordered a sad looking cheese steak, that she got halfway through, and onion rings. We did like the onion rings, but we’re sure they weren’t homemade. Our appetizer sampler wasn’t bad, but we were hoping to get the potato skins that were on the menu that we didn’t. Again, nothing appeared to be homemade. Drinks: We originally ordered a Sam Adams because it was a quality beer on the menu. They came back saying they stopped carrying it. So we ordered a local craft beer(Mojave Red). I always add a star when you support local breweries and farmers. Overall: For the staff… cut the menu in half, hire a real cool and put a little more effort into the food. The little things will help like salting the potato and maybe turning it into a twice baked potato with pieces of bacon and cheese on it. People remember that stuff. For the potential customer… stay away until Crazy Ottos improves this establishment. My tab ended up $ 60 for 2 beers, Philly cheese steak, appetizer sampler and the chicken fried steak. Including a small tip.

We absolutely love the crazy Ottos on avenue I. We eat there every Thursday morning… My sister, her boyfriend, my nephew, my boyfriend and I came here midweek. The customer service was good, but the food was awful!!! I’m not sure why this food differed so much from the one in Lancaster but it really did… I think it had something to do with the cheese in the breakfast burrito… It was just awful :/I think we’ll stick to Lancaster. The three stars is for the good customer service that we received

My wife and I finally decided to give CO’s a try. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The staff was not that all friendly. In fact the greeter didn’t smile, not once that I saw while we were there. At one point while waitin for our food, the manager or owner not sure who he was, called all the staff to the kitchen and I could hear him getting mad at the servers for some reason. The wait for our food was not long, BUT I had ordered the pancake plate, while the portion was BIG, two of the pancakes were burnt. The eggs we’re overcooked, and the sausage had no flavor. My wife ordered the eggs and Machaca. It was good, but had to remind the server about the tortillas. For the two of us was near $ 30, and not that good of a breakfast. I don’t think we will be going back. Disappointed customer. :(

This place run by morons and the food sucks. I redeemed a gift certificate right before their eyes and they didn’t take it. These people stole $ 25 from me. I doubt if they are smart enough to ever read this review. Hello Joe. The first time there was an error but the second time we tried it was accepted and I have proof. Would you like to see it and give me my $ 25?
