By far best pizza in town. The crust isn’t frozen, it’s hand made, the toppings are fresh, the sauce is a mixture of just the right amount of spices, and the cheese is all mozzarella. The portion sizes of the meals are huge, but the food is delicious, best mascoto wine I’ve had in a while. Hubby and i go here from time to time just to sit back and enjoy the great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food.

The atmosphere was nice, I liked that it was quiet but it didn’t feel dead. It was pleasant. Our server was attentive but not annoying. The timing of the service was great, and we LOVED the shrimp appetizer. I was delighted with our evening there.

Best restaurant in Roscoe! I love the portion size and the Tuscan chicken is very good. Great service and every time we have been there the owners has stopped to ask about the meal! I love this place!

This place is a great little Italian restaurant. There aren’t many good places to eat in Roscoe, but this place is really delicious. Their thin crust pizza, bruschetta and minestrone soup are all very tasty. The service is exceptionally good. And they have good beers and wines. I don’t think that many people know about this place. It’s always fairly empty when I go. I hope they make it because it is a truly great restaurant!

Three of us were there Tuesday night. We found the food very good. I had Salmon and it was very good. The service was good. We will visit again. If they could do something with the terrible décor and non Italian ambience they would have a winner. Kind of like eating in a mortuary. No color, no table clothes, no candles on the tables. They seriously need to consult a decorator.

We have only been here once but I really love it and cannot wait to go back! The service was excellent(Saturday, mid-afternoon). The food was fresh. The drinks were good and the flourless chocolate cake was to die for! My only gripe is the bar area. It has a ton of potential but the walls are empty and it is a bit dank and cheap looking since they added those loud, obnoxious video poker and slot machines. I would expect more from Amici than that, but no worries. In the future I will just avoid the bar area for seating. Overall — great experience!

The food was very good. My wife had Mahi Mahi and I had the New York strip. Both were very good. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best we have ever had. Also Ami at the bar makes an outstanding old fashioned. We will be back for sure.

I have been to this place a handful of times and have yet to have anything less than a great experience. The service is always on point, and the food is always great. The owners have created a very welcoming, family feel that makes you really enjoy being there.

Dinner was great. The salad was served beautifully. It caught the attention of everyone at our table. The baked cod was perfectly seasoned and a huge portion. The service was friendly and smooth, checking on our group without rushing us. We never had to ask for more water. We were always attended to. Can’t wait to go back!

Good food, very generous portions. Dinner salad was lovely, nice presentation, beyond the ordinary. Tuscana soup delicate and flavorful. Baked mostaccoli with meatballs, very tasty. Pasta Alfredo was a bit too bland. Thin crust sausage pizza was very good. Nice ambiance. Good service. Wine list is short but with good selections. We will return.

Recently had my 2nd visit here– service was just so so– we were never offered bread plates for Italian bread w olive oil– kind of hard to eat that way. We were never told the specials of the day. We ordered an appetizer and never recieved it. We were also never offered coffee or dessert. If I were to rate on service alone 1.5 although everyone was friendly. The food was pretty good, had good flavor. Pizza was good. I am not sure I will go back again.

Food was overpriced, and was terrible. A pasta dish will cost you over $ 12.00 !! Why…when you can go to Sam’s and get a better tasting dish for half the price. Owner’s were unprofessional and disrespectful to they’re staff. I don’t even think they were Italian… I would have given them no stars but site would not let me. Would NOT recommend.

I ordered the pizza my first time. It was a thin crust pepperoni medium pizza with oregano on it. Very different than any other pizzas with same toppings on. Not sure why, but I liked it! Second time I went I got the Grilled Chicken Parmesan and marinara. It was tender and the marinara was good. Mix in the marinara with the spaghetti and it was just about normal with no complaints. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the bread they served with the Grilled Chicken, which was hard like Texas toast. It was hard, buttered and had garlic on it. The table bread was better because it was soft, Parmesan cheese and oregano. Service on a Thursday at dinner time was quick, courtesy and nice. The music they play is typical Italian stuff. Frank Sinatra and similar.

Came here for the first time on a Thursday at around 5:30. My husband had arrived before me and was at the bar. Once I walked in they sat us immediately and a waitress was there in seconds for my drink order. We both ordered the Chicken Parmesan, him with a salad me with the minestrone. The soup and salad came out with the Italian bread and oil which were all excellent. The chicken came soon after which was also exceptional. Lastly, I want to mention the décor. Looks the same on the inside as it did when it was The Gun Club. Busy on Friday night but we were seated without reservation when we walked in at 8pm. Our waitress struggled opening the bottle of wine, and I ended up having to open it for her. The baked french onion soup is amazing! Did get much chance to enjoy it though because our entrée came out not even a minute after the soup. Cheese ravioli is good and would have again. Overall great food but they need to work out the timing and teach the severs how to open a bottle of wine.

Food and service were great. Went on a Wednesday evening and they were busy but didn’t have to wait for a table. We were done within An hour. $ 45 for two with wine. We each took home half our entrée. Soups were excellent and filling. My only complaint is they give you too much food! We each had pasta dishes. Sauce was rich and tasty. Going to try the pizza next time !

Alright, look… I tried to snipe at every little thing about this restaurant. I tried to find things to piss and moan about, but game recognizes game. The lighting is a little much in there. They could turn that shit down a bit. Would it kill you to put in a dimmer or something? Come on. Also, they’re trying to do that weird thing where they don’t put the last«0» in the prices in their menu. That’s a thing now… If their pizza is «$ 8.50,» they put«8.5» Stop it. Quit it with your haute cuisine showboating. You’re in Roscoe, IL not Williamsburg, NY. Pizza was boss… FORTHEMOSTPART. The crust gets a little bready at the end. They had a few impressive ingredients that you don’t see on a pizza much – roasted reds, marinated artichoke, and capicola… so obviously, that’s what I got. I’m gonna be real with you, I think they forgot the roasted reds. I was a little annoyed, but it was still solid. They have Pietro’s hung, drawn, and quartered on pretty much every facet EXCEPT delivery. They don’t deliver and that – ya know – blows…then again, Pietro’s is a different joint. Pietro’s doesn’t need a good atmosphere or good food; they scratch an itch and that’s important, I guess. Amici does some interesting shit with their bread too. I’ve seen it before in Colorado but never here. They bring out your appetizer artesan bread and olive oil, but the flourish is in the little pile of house herb mix – basil, oregano, lots of rosemary, and what I think was ground asiago cheese bread crumbs – they put on the plate. You dip your bread in the oil and then in the pile… holy shit. Nice touch. See, all of the stuff I have to complain about is kinda forced and has nothing to do with the food. I’m stretching because the food speaks for itself. They have a few things they need to tighten up, but they’re aces after that. TL;DR: 3.5, rounded up to a 4⁄5
