Love’s has no frills but it is a great place to stop. As a single lady, I feel safe. It is well lit, always busy and clean. It has a Hardee’s, a mini-mart, it is a great one stop pit stop.
The gas is always cheaper than further into Illinois.

I arrived on a Wednesday at 3 pm. I requested a shower room and the clerk said she needed to get a shower clean. A person came out of a room behind the desk and asked what showers needed to be cleaned. I waited 15 minutes while the need for showers piled up. Once there, it was evident that they simply swept the dirt under the sink. They also need new towels. The one I had was about 60 grit. The lines need to be painted in the truck parking lot too. The Loves portion is obviously poorly managed and the main reason for the crappy review. The Hardees was good with nice employees.

I am a truck driver. And travel a lot, make stops at truck stop at least twice a day. Today I stopped this location to take a shower on 7−12−13. And there was a nice girl with smiling face and very polite. I think her name was Kayla. I asked for a shower and she told me that she is going to rush for the cleaning. And asked me to wait 5 more minutes. Then literally 3 – 4 minutes later she called me and gave me a shower and also asked me if I need an extra towel. I took the towel and had a nice shower. Then I realized that she was cleaning the showers herself and as well as taking care of customers. I am really thankful for Kayla. Because its really nice experience to have a nice, polite service especially when you are tired…;))) thanks Kayla again.

This place is OK. Cheap gas prices and a nice place to stop on the way to WI. Ive only been inside once and I dont know if its like this all the time but there was flies EVERYWHERE. It was pretty crazy. My boyfriend and I each got a hotdog and by the time we paid and sat in the Hardee’s to eat them, they were really cold and my boyfriend had to take them over and microwave them.

As a local in the area, this is my go to spot for cheap gas. If you are heading south east into Chicago, this is the cheapest «oasis» like spot you will find for gas. Like the other reviewer, it is not uncommon to experience problems at the pump (i.e. having to go inside to get your receipt). There is a Hardee’s…yum! In terms of being 5 minutes off the interstate. It is a truck stop, it is not unreasonable to get off a ramp, immediate stoplight, short drive to the service drive.

Cheap gas @ this truck stop… but the card readers at the pumps weren’t working and the workers were too lazy to post a sign saying so… (so we drove to two pumps before realizing). everyone had to go in and wait in a long line … then wait again when the pumping was done. the gas station itself is not exactly right off the highway, it turns into a 5 minute drive because their entrance is on a side road. waste of time.
