We tried two pizzas: Meat lovers, and a pepperoni. The pizza was just ok. Nothing fancy not great, wouldn’t go out of my way to order it. Perhaps a step up from dominoes, but not anything like a typical pizza joint specializing in pizza.

We are a regular, best place in roscoe for pizza. The special is large one topping, can’t beat the price!!! They get really busy during peak weekend hours so order early or expect to wait.

We had 20 pizzas catered in for our rehearsal dinner and they did not disappoint! Pizza was on time, hot, and guests love it. They are fully capable of large catering deliveries, and we’d recommend them for any occasion. Andrew and Lindsay Knoblauch

Fantastic pizza! best in the area hands down. My aunt moved to Colorado and everytime she is in the area she orders a pizza. Good balance of cheese with a very tasty sweet sauce. Prices are super affordable as well. Six members of my friends and family have professed it’s the best pizza in the area. It’s worth the drive from Machesney Park.

5 star pizza! I’ve been getting Pietros for years. It’s a favorite every time I come home for a visit. Affordable and delicious.

My husband and I ordered a couple of calzones for lunch and for the most part, I am disappointed with the experience from start to finish. We got the food very fast, the only positive, when we opened the containers we found a mini looking calzone and a couple handfuls of crinkle cut fries. Who has fries with a calzone at a pizzeria? Come on guys! Let’s tackle that part first. I had one fry, and it was obvious they were frozen and even worse than that, no additional seasoning. If you’re going to have your customers eat processed potatoes instead of fresh the least season them. The calzone felt thrown together. All of the toppings were hidden deep in the calzone. So much so that three bites in my husband thought they forgot our toppings. Not cool. Now once we got to it all it tasted good however it was 3 bites worth. This place needs a lot of work and a change in the cook before I will be willing to return

Called in to order two pepperoni calzones and the person taking my order seemed in a rush, they didn’t even ask how I wanted to pay for the meal before hanging up with me. I had to call back to change how I paid and to get the total. There’s a $ 3 delivery fee and if you get sauce cups on the side it’s .50 each. When we got the calzones they were the smallest ones we have ever seen. They came with fries. Never seen that before. Usually calzones are brushed with butter to give it a golden look, but it doesn’t appear they did this. On the inside, the outer edges are just cheese. The sauce and pepperoni are only in the middle so all the ingredients were not spread around. Overall, it seemed like they cut a lot of corners and seems cheap. I do like how big the sauce cups are for dipping the calzone in them and the hand size calzone makes it easier to eat. If you’re watching calories, it’s a good portion size for a calzone. If you don’t care, it seems a bit inadequate compared to other calzones. Usually when you see a calzone sealed up after it’s been folded over, you see how they sewed the dough together to close it up, but with this calzone you don’t see that. I wonder how they closed the dough up after applying all the ingredients. They for sure put a lot of thought into this dish. They for sure added some extra stuff to their pizza sauce. I’m not sure if it’s garlic or parmesan cheese. It looks like parmesan, but I taste garlic. It’s possible both are added. A bonus plus to them for getting me this meal in under 45 minutes! Price: 3 stars Service: 2 stars Food: 2 stars Overall: 2 stars

The crust is thick and had some dough to it but has snap and an amazing red sauce. Their calzones are to die for. It is only a take out place but cheap great food the whole menu is great. Best pizza in Roscoe fighting for top three in Rockford area.

Pietro’s is a Roscoe staple. They have a great sweet sauce and I always like to ask for a extra thin crust but they have a crust for everyone. I order their calzone with pizza sauce on the side which is a great deal for around $ 6.50 with all the toppings you want, oh it comes with fries too. Order it, you won’t be disappointed!

I love Pietro’s pizza and we usually get it at least once a week. Their large 1 topping pizza for $ 8 feeds our family of four. We usually get a couple and we have leftovers for lunch for a couple of days. Great value!

This is, hands down, the best thin crust pizza in the area. It’s inexpensive and it’s really good. I’ve eaten at a huge number of pizza places, and this remains at the top of my list. The reason it’s so popular is because it’s good.

I’ve had a few friends tell me that the pizza here is fantastic.. .. i beg to differ. i ordered one of the stuffed pizzas and was not impressed. the pepperoni for some reason doesn’t seem to have much flavor to it. i’m not sure where they get it from but just grab some from Hormel. Sounds basic but it’s still better than what’s used here. the sauce.. . i don’t know what to say about the sauce. i just wasn’t a fan of it. everything seems to lack flavor. maybe it was an off day? maybe the other reviews are right. i’m not sure. unfortunately i don’t think i’ll be back to Pietro’s.

This pizza is horrible. It taste like eating cardboard. Every part. crust, sauce, cheese are flavorless! Even the pepperonis are bland. For $ 2 more, go across the street to Papa Saviero’s and thank me later.

We got a flyer on our mailbox the other day and decided to try them out. I’m gonna have to say this was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The sauce is so good, it makes the pizza!

This place is a Roscoe mainstay and I don’t get why. Maybe because Pietro’s has been basically the only game in town for so long that we’ve developed a dependency on it. I don’t know, maybe I’m jaded on pizza because theirs just doesn’t stick out to me. Everyone gets hyped when you talk about Pietro’s. You’d think they put money under the cheese or something, the way everyone talks about it. Its not bad, ya know. Their thin-crust pizza is good… but I mean, it’s really hard to fxck up a pizza. You hafta be a special-ed dropout to be bad at pizza. Its cheap too, so I guess it has that going for it, but other than that, I’m not impressed.

Excellent pizza for a great price and quick pick-up time. Pizza can be a bit too saucy for me, at times, but overall a great pizza place.
