I purchased what was suppose to be a close clearance wood stove and installation on 6÷5÷2015 for a new home under construction. This company installed the pipe through the roof and attic on 6÷11÷2015. I went to their shop to notify them that i would be ready to have the stove installed in October 2015. This is when all hell for me broke loose. No one came out to install, nor did i get any phone calls for installation. I called my salesmen Jim Inman to see what was happening. He informed me that they had had a sale and that their were 60 people ahead of me. he set a date 2 weeks ahead, to which no one showed up. I called him again, as he would never call me, he said that he would not lie to me any more. They sold my stove by mistake and installed it in a warehouse somewhere. I informed him that I would take a substitute stove, just to get one installed as it had been a long time waiting. Jim informed me that the first thing on Monday am, he would talk to his boss and solve this problem. I called him on Tuesday am, Jim said problem solved, but would not tell me how. Jim said they would install it on Thursday. On Thursday afternoon, Mike Hopkins their installer showed up without a phone call to deliver and install the stove. After sizing up the situation, he said that he did not have the correct parts to install the stove. He also said that the pipe that he installed through the roof was not in the correct location. he also only had single wall pipe, which is not for close clearance installation. I called Jim Inman at the store and informed him of the situation. His answer was not my problem, Mike Hopkins is an independent contractor and it is his problem. I have looked at the manual that came with the stove and a Rear Heater Deflector is missing.(this item is supplied and mandatory by the manufacturer.) I have checked the internet and found a company(6 inch Double Wall DuraVent Stove Pipe), where i can purchase the correct pipe for this installation, as this company(Fisher‘s Hearth & Home) seems to have left me stranded, and lied to me so many times and left me with a partial installation, and a through roof system not installed in the correct location. Got off to a rough start but they finally made everything right. There were some problems with installing the wrong insert, not being able to find the right trim pieces, etc. I expressed my extreme unhappiness with the fact that they never once called me. I had to call them every time to find out what was going on. But, the owner got on the phone, took charge and got everything fixed. They got the right insert/trim ordered. They called me as soon as it came in and they paid for the 2nd install. Insert looks great, works great and I am now a happy customer.
