Love this place. If I am in the mood for a quick seafood dinner or crab cake without the hassle of restaurant carryout, this is where I go. The crab cakes are delicious, moist and tasty with minimal filler and nice lumps of crab in both the backfin and jumbo varities. Everything is very fresh, and you can get raw items if you prefer to cook your own. They also sell all kinds of seafood and steamed crabs too. Food is prepared to order so call ahead if you are in a hurry.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for soft crab sandwiches. Only frozen soft crabs were available. Opted for 2 backfin crab cake sandwiches and 1 codfish cake — all fried. Codfish cake was terrible — dry and no flavor. Crab cake sandwiches were on a nice roll, and that was the highlight of the sandwiches. Crab cake was very small after frying(lacked crab flavor and needed Old Bay); the lettuce, tomato, and xtra mayo were a disappointment — tiny piece of tomato, smaller piece of lettuce, and very little mayo despite my request. Another customer arrived while we were there to pick up a dozen of «jumbo» crabs. When she checked her order she refused to accept it because the crabs were no larger than a medium. She showed them to us and they were definitely not jumbos and medium was being generous in our description. Baltimore’s Best?(framed magazine articles on the wall) — not a chance! Don’t waste your time here or your money. Oh yes, it has a TV — terrible picture, just like the food.

They offer fresh seafood, plus prepared things for parties or events. I’ve gotten a few things here and its all been top notch quality. They’re pretty nice too and the place seems well taken care of.

I stopped in Breezy Point while I was staying close by on business. It is not a fancy sit down restaurant. It is primarily a seafood shop that sells food essentially out of the case. Not only did this not bother me but I thought it was a good sign. But if you’re expecting white tablecloths and waiters, move along. I ordered a crab cake with rice and grilled zucchini. It was served in a Styrofoam clamshell container which I quickly popped open and annihilated the contents of. The crab cake was perfectly seasoned and mostly crab. The two sides were just as good as the cake. If I’m back in the area, I will be back for sure! Great meal!

By word of mouth we heard about breezy point. We’d driven past it plenty of times but never stopped in. We’re in Baltimore and every mother’s son with crab likes to boast he carries«Baltimore’s best crab cakes». Over time you come to ignore these ravings because, let’s face it, you have your own go-to crab shack and deviation is a definite Balti-moron no no. We’d heard such great things from this woman that on a whim we decided… yes… let’s try it. Of course a crab cake sandwich was in order along with shrimp salad. If you can’t get those two things right, you have no business in seafood. The rolls were soft and warm. However, the shrimp salad was mostly mayo, not nearly enough seasoning. The crab cake had ok crab MEAT but not nearly enough of it. Too much mustard and filler. You get two sides with your sandwich. I chose fries and coleslaw, my husband fries and seasoned rice. He had hoped to get a salad but they didn’t carry ranch dressing. What? Who does that? The fries were frozen out of the bag, but seasoned better than my shrimp salad. The seasoned rice was something to the tune of Uncle Ben’s 90 second rice and the coleslaw was probably something that came in a restaurant sized jug, not made in house. Extremely generic. If the best part of my visit to your SEAFOOD restaurant was the french fries… I don’t think they’ll see the likes of me again.

If I could rate it 0⁄5 stars I would. After seeing the reviews I decided to go Breezy Point a try. We walked in to an empty«dining» area. Nobody behind the counter. A young girl with brown hair walks up from in the back from a door on the side. She didn’t say anything. My boyfriend asked for the crab dip. The response was, «We actually don’t have any». Okay so he orders the red snapper with 2 sides. I was about to order my food and she walked into the back. 5 min goes by and she hasn’t came back up. I rang the bell on the counter. She came up with attitude. I ordered the crabcake platter. My boyfriend asked how many lbs of crawfish you get for the $ 9 price on the board. She said, «idk you have to ask the manager». He then asked about the frog legs. She said the same thing. So he asked to speak with him. She said, «he is not here»…Okay so do you have to order them? My bf asked. She said agin she does not know. She walked into the back and we waited… waited…15min, 20min, 25min, 30min… peak in the back to see everyone texting on their phones. Finally a gentleman walked in and rang the bell. The girl walked out and looked at him. He asked about the crabs. Her response, «we don’t have any». Gentleman walked out. My boyfriend asked how much longer is it going to be, she said«I don’t know we are having problems with our broiler and rolled her eyes». Your telling me after 35min you could not tell us that. Inform the customer what was going on. We waited 10 more min. I walked out and my boyfriend rang the bell and said we don’t want the food. Just the shrimp salad we got that was already made in a container. She told him we have to pay for all of it. He said no we do not. She said well, the manager won’t like that. He told her it was ridiculous she couldn’t tell us, not to mention, the attitude in her voice, and her rolling her eyes. She charged us for the shrimp salad and we left… The absolute WORST customer service. I don’t care if the crabcakes were made of gold nuggets. You don’t treat customers like an inconvenience. Never will go back. Not even if it was free!

Hands down the best crabcakes I have ever had! Had them shipped to NYC and they were so easy to prepare. They came in a plastic container(tupperware) in a nicely packaged box that, from what I understand, would keep them fresh for a few days. When preparing, simply ball them up, put on tray, and place in oven on broil. You will be enjoying fresh, delicious Maryland crabcakes shortly thereafter. Love this place!!! Will be ordering at least once a month!

I have heard about this place before and finally tried it for Dinner this evening. First, it is not FANCY! Yet it is very charming and prides itself on being a great value. I could not agree more. The Cream of Crab was excellent, not thick and gummy from too much flour. Had ample crab meat with a flavorful cream broth that had a slight kick. Like other reviewers have stated, the zucchini side is really good as is the rice. But one does not go for sides alone. The seafood is extremely well prepared. Fresh, flavorful and similar to what one would receive in a fine restaurant. We sampled crab cakes, scallops, fresh flounder and salmon, shrimp etc. All were excellent. The place is not fancy, but the simple table seating was very casual and relaxing and the staff was great. Order at the counter and they deliver the finished dish to your table. No fuss, no rush, just a great easy going experience. We are now fans and will return often thanks to the great prices and quality!

Very good food. My boyfriend got the Mahi Mahi and I ordered the crabcake, both were delicious! I am pretty picky about my crab cakes, but this didn’t have a lot of filler and it was seasoned well. Also, they have old bay fries… yum. We have gone a few times for dinner and love the laid back atmosphere. It’s never been crowded and it’s like we have the entire dining area to ourselves. I’m from Annapolis, but I would gladly make the drive up here for seafood. My only wish is that it was on the water so I could sit outside while eating my delicious food!

I agree with the last reviewer that it is a great place for lunch, especially if you are looking for an affordable healthy option. For $ 9.95 I got a grilled tuna steak with Asian Sesame sauce, a side of grilled Zuchini(my fave) and a fresh greens salad with homemade pico sprinkled in. It was fresh, delicious and the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. Most customers that came in got take out but I enjoyed the breezy bright dining room and the quiet of having it to myself. This is a treasure in an area with very little to eat at lunch if you don’t want fast food or a sit down restaurant. Will definately be back. They had some other fish options for $ 7.95 and I might try some crab legs or the yummy looking crab cake.

Came from NY and been here for work. I gotta say, I was disappointed with their crab cakes. When I starting chowing down, I noticed it had more«filler» stuff in it than anyone, especially me, would want. It had a bland taste to it. I actually weighed it with their scale at the store. It wasn’t 8 ounces, as they stated over the phone for their«Jumbo» crab cakes. It was actually 0.3 pounds, which is 4.8 ounces. They had shrimp salad there, but it 8 bucks for half pint.

I love getting lunch from here. It is really close to my work and the prices couldn’t be any better. I call ahead about ten minutes beforehand and pick up my order and the food is always ready on time. The employees at Breezy Point are friendly and always remember to give a utensil pack with the order. They recently remodeled and now there is a dining area with seating so you can enjoy your meal. On my last visit, I had a carryout order, but as I was leaving I changed my mind and sat at a table to eat. It’s not fancy at all, but it is very pleasant and clean. The Breezy Point fish logo is painted on one of the walls and really brightens up the place. Going the healthy route, I always get a fish entrée with two sides, usually double grilled vegetables. It used to be a medley of carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, but the last time I went they switched it up and I had grilled squash and zucchini. What a nice surprise! It was seasoned and grilled perfectly. When you choose an entrée you can have it grilled, broiled, or fried and choose a sauce or rub to go on it. I usually get tilapia, catfish, or orange roughy and I get it grilled and blackened with the Cajun rub. It is SOGOOD. You get two pieces of fish, plus your sides. After I am done eating, I always wish there was more because it tastes so good. I don’t even want to drink anything because I don’t want the taste to go away! Baltimore City Paper voted their crab cake as the best for 2010. I have yet to try it, but I have had friends that have ordered it and have told me that it is amazing. Breezy Point also has their award winning crab cakes available for shipping on their website. Writing this review has me craving Breezy Point for lunch today… maybe I will finally try their crab cake!
