Nails Essence

While in the area I stopped in for a manicure. The real reason I write Unilocal reviews is to provide business owners with constructive criticism so that they may improve upon what is lacking in addition to what can make for a better experience for patrons.
I have visited Nail Essence dating back to 2012. For gel manicures and pedicures. I recall the job always being mediocre. Hence why I never returned. This place needs a renovation and new equipment.
2 factors go into my money being spent at a Nail Salon: 1. The overall service 2. The Paint Job/​Quality of the job. Noone should ever have to feel as though they are doing you a favor by coming to your establishment. Ever. Have a conversation with your patrons, ask them what they want. Dont just shout out «Pick A calor!» and proceed with filing a nail. My nail tech probably spoke twice for the 48 minutes I was there. She put no care into the job. When I went to dry my nails I noticed the Drying station was inoperable. NOT BLOWING OUT SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF AIR to properly dry the wet paint on my nails. I had to resort to using an old fashioned mini fan to dry my nails. I dont even want to know what they dry the gel manicures with!
The owner proceeded to giggle and tell me that the dry station from 1985 works. Clearly, the lack of patrons at the salon shows me that you dont deserve my hard earned $ 7.00. Nail Essence is the reason I am a regular at only 1 salon in New York. Poor customer service skills and manners. While my manicure turned out fine, the service i received was UNACCEPTABLE.
I wont be back. Ever.

My mother works here, but she never does my nails. I was referred to her colleague Dennis, instead. Dennis is very efficient with his work. He’s very gentle with our hands. Chinese new year is coming up so I wanted to get my nails done. I chose the color (gel) and I had told him to free draw any designs on my nails. Initially, it was supposed to be two designs on each hand. But somehow, it became all ten. Dennis and his staff are very efficient and careful with everything they do. The whole staff is friendly, and very easy going. Now I’m not saying all these positive things because I know them. Place has a very classy ambiance to it; also very comfortable. You can watch TV as youre getting your nails done. My opinions are truly from the heart. Dennis is only there on Sundays. His English is also efficient. The store can be very busy. That’s the only annoying part. But other than that, I highly recommend this place. Look for Jingna as well.

Nails Essence have a very cozy and classy ambiance and the price of your local nail salon. I got a facial and my nails done. Sha, she did such a great job with the facial and my nails were looking very clean and neat after the visit. Great customer service, ambiance and value.
