I have been coming here since I was 12 (So an entire decade, WOW)
Every single time I come here to see Julie, I am obsessed with my hair when I leave. In my high school/​college years, I was always either getting my hair done not enough, or I was jumping from salon to salon because of convenience. Well within my experience, it is 100% important to NOT do that, and if it’s not broken; don’t fix it!
I am now on a regular schedule of getting my hair done by Julie, and this will be the second time she has helped me fully process from a dark hair color, to blonde. Her placement of highlights is the best I have ever seen in my life, and she really cares about all of her clients. She doesn’t push you to buy extra products, but instead she educates you on how to maintain healthy hair and color. I ended up getting the AVEDA Blue Mulva conditioner at the salon because I loved the way her own hair was perfectly blonde!
One thing I have not yet tried, was their mani/​pedi services. With the basically-​brand new salon, the mani/​pedi room is beautiful. I have heard they do an amazing job (and have affordable prices) but I still have not made time to schedule an appointment!
But seriously, if you are looking for a salon in the Schaumburg/​roselle/​elk grove area, this is your place. Reasonable prices, amazing service, and just everything a salon and spa should be.
p.s when you are getting your hair dyed, there is a specific place for customers to sit while processing the color. The best part about the processing area, is that they have wall plugs for you to charge your phone right in front of you. THEY THINK OF EVERYTHING! :)

I was referred to Julie by a friend. I had gone to a family friend for years prior and I struggled finding someone I trusted. I had always been told by various stylists that I didn’t take care of my hair well enough to dye it or do anything much with it, but Julie worked miracles! She’s super supportive and knowledgeable and won’t suggest anything she doesn’t believe in or thinks will make you look stupid (she’ll tell you that’s terrible advertising on her part). Anytime I ask Julie for new suggestions she proves she knows her job. The ladies at the salon are super friendly and not at all pushy or annoying. These people are amazing. Julie’s laugh alone is worth the trip!

It is my Home away from Home!

I started coming to Julie when I moved out to the ‘burbs in 2004. At the time I was desperately trying to find someone out here who could take on the task of dealing with my ever changing need for various hair colors and hairstyles. At this point in my search, I was starting to give up hope, but while driving one day on Roselle road I saw a sign that said Absolute Outrageousness hair salon, and I just knew in my gut that this was the place. I’m so thankful that I found her because she is seriously a hair whisperer! She’s not pushy at all, and she always wants to make sure that my hair looks it best.
I have recently changed my profession, and that requires me to have a more professional look. Julie has really helped my hair make that transition, while still remaining healthy, and not lacking in style. I am so happy with my hair, and I am constantly receiving compliments on it. One of the greatest things about Julie, is that she knows how to cut hair so that it not only looks good for a couple weeks, but grows out beautifully. Really, I can’t say enough good things about her.
The salon itself makes the whole experience fun and enjoyable. Like I said, I’ve been going there for a long time now, and they have recently moved and changed their name to Hairology, but to me, the experience is still the same. Everyone is always upbeat and friendly, and I really look forward to seeing them because they always make me feel welcome. I also wanted to make sure that I mentioned Chris. She has such a wonderful personality, and she really knows how to make you feel relaxed and de-​stressed while getting shampooed.

Absolutely LOVE Hairology! My family and I have been coming here for years, from routine cuts, colors, and sets to hair for special occasions they can’t be beat. I couldn’t imagine trusting my hair to anyone besides Nelly and her team. There’s something for everyone, no matter if you’re in your teens, twenties, fifties or even eighties. I love the beautiful atmosphere and ambiance, even the coffee and cookies are fabulous! You won’t be disappointed!
