Turner Park

This little park seems to have it all. Many trees, making for a beautiful landscape in the fall. There are paved trails for walking, jogging or biking, maybe 1.5 miles in total perimeter. The trail surrounds and cuts through a playing field (soccer & baseball), a playground for young children, and a small pond for fishing. In addition to the several benches and picnic tables scattered throughout, there’s a cute gazebo, and a pavilion that includes at least 20 more picnic tables for a large gathering (don’t know if you need a permit). In the middle of the park is a building I have not visited yet, that I’m guessing has bathrooms and perhaps Roselle Park District offices? There are also porta-​potties near the playing field. Just watch your step; there are a lot of geese and evidence suggests that are healthy and well-​fed. Eek!
P. S. I’m not exactly sure where, but I think within ¾ of a mile is a skating park, also part of RPD.
