This place is a hidden treasure. A very small meat market that has a tiny kitchen in the back. I go here for breakfast and they sell great home cooked meals. Try the chorizo con huevos or the nopales tacos for a great price.

Great place for marinated meats. Most carneceria’s taste the samsies but Lupita’s marination is different for each meat. The flank steak was salted, neutral but not overpowering to the full beefy flavor. The chuck was very lime-y and cumin-y. It packed a punch! I liked switching between the flank and chuck. The dark meat chicken was nicely seasoned as well. Neutral, not too salty not too bland. Just perfect. Got a couple shortribs. Salty, good. They have whole baby hens! I bought 1 hen, cost me about $ 4. I roasted then pan fried it. It was delicious. Forget going to Von’s. Get your whole chickens here. The seasoning was well salted and really tasty. I always have to buy salsa to accompany my grilled meats. No need for salsa. These marinated meats stand on their own. I’ll have to try the pork another day. Flank, short rib and chuck cost about $ 5/lb. I bought 1 piece each and it was enough for 3 people. Also bought a medium size beef soup in the hot food area. It was so good. Light broth perfumed with rustic vegs and big chunks of chuck. The meat wasn’t too tender so I skipped that but it gave the broth great flavor. Next time I’ll ask if I can just have vegs and broth. My new fave place for grilled meat! Not only that Garcia’s chamangos are only a half mile away! WORTHIT. Parking sucks a lot. There’s 10 spaces and half of them are reserved for the other businesses in the plaza. I suggest going around the corner and parking in the neighborhood.

Great family owned mexican style market. Their meat is fresh and the marinated stuff(meat and chicken) is awesome.

Ranchera is great here, good quality and lean. The salsa is actually pretty good, try the red salsa with onions, cilantro. very spicy.

They have the best Carne Asada(Ranchera). We drive 30 minutes to buy it from here. I don’t like their salsa’s or anything else just the meat. I go down ½ a block to Los Toros and buy chips, salsa and guacomole there.

Take this review with a grain of salt, since the other day marked the one time I’ve been here, and I bought just one thing, a corn tamale. The staff were nice, they seemed to have a decent-sized customer base(hanging out in front of the store), and the shelves looked well-stocked. But my tamale had clearly been sitting for a while, so the texture was kind of dry and hard. Too bad, because the flavor was quite good: rich, corny and somewhat sweet. If I’d bought it earlier in the day I bet it would’ve been yummy.
