I was rubbed! When I came home and opened my takeout of Fried Chicken with Green Onion sauce, I found the portion is extremely small with some key pieces missing. This restaurant definitely have a quality control problem. The taste of the dish was sub-par.

Extremely extremely nice service! For Father’s day I had a mix up about which restaurant to meet at. My family went to another restaurant, while I inadvertently came to China bistro. Unfortunately, I had seated and started ordering items. They were very nice to cancel my order and give me directions to the other restaurant. Based on the food I saw on other tables, they were huge portions! And very reasonably-priced. They even have a lunch special menu with even cheaper deals.

Not Recommended. This is definitely not a place I’d ever go to again especially since there’s a million other better Chinese spots around. My first time here… went with a group of 10 and the setup is not ideal for sharing food and conversation since they only have long tables. Nice indoor and outdoor design however floors were quite dirty. Most of the food was average and portions were small but I had specific issues with the fish maw/crab soup and the fried tofu w/enoki and scallop — The soup had minimal crab meat, quite flavorless, and had a hint of citrus(perhaps it was spoiled.?). The tofu dish was okay but I did not see a single trace of scallop… Also everything was expensive for what you were getting. Staff and service were bad. Took our order and never came back to check on us or refill any of our drinks. Kept trying to get us to order more. Didn’t bother to give us soup spoons until we asked repeatedly. You’d think they want your money but even the check took forever to come. They do charge gratuity for larger groups which sucks because they definitely didn’t deserve it. Worst thing I saw though was one of the servers repeatedly coughing into the back of his hands while carrying, serving, and packing food –_– just unacceptable… Overall this place has overpriced mediocre food with terrible service. No thanks.

Authentic Hong Kong style café! Very good food and drinks. Just like being back in Hong Kong! Very cheap and affordable as well. The soy sauce beef noodles were not too oily, which is good because I find it really gross when other restaurants make it too oily and I feel like i’m just eating a plate of oil with a side of noodles. The stone pot rice is served really hot so be careful! If you’re like my mom, you can let the rice sit in the pot for a while and then scrape the bottom to get the crispy rice left overs.

The portions are so small here, and on top of that, they raised their prices! I ordered the filet mignon cubes, chicken chow fun, and fried calamari. The chicken chow fun had NO chicken inside, filet mignon cube dish had a few pieces, and the fried calamari never came. Not impressed.

Wonton noodle soup had no taste. Pork was tasteless. Menu was overpriced for what we received. Service was unprofessional. Will not return again.

Came here for special lunch with my mama one day. They have an outside patio which was pretty filled; inside wasn’t filled but still a good amount of people eating. When you go for special lunch, they give you free chicken soup, it also comes with rice. Food: Satay beef with vermicelli: I only ate the vermicelli which was pretty good. The menu said this dish was spicy but it wasn’t spicy at all. They give you a lot of beef and noodles, it’s just buried underneath all the soup. But Eat the noodles fast otherwise they will soak up all the soup. White tofu with enoki mushrooms: super bland, which is why I gave this place 4 stars. The soft tofu was super plain, even with the sauce it wasn’t good. Enjoyed the enoki mushrooms tho. Lo mein: my favorite dish! It had a lot of flavor, the noodles were chewy, which is how I like them. Didn’t even need the soup on the side to eat the noodles. Singapore fried rice vermicelli: my mom loves this dish, she thinks they make it best here. I also think it’s very good as well. I like how they don’t put too many bean sprouts, I hate bean sprouts. Bean curd sheets with bok choy: love the bean curd sheets, the sauce has a lot of flavor. I actually don’t mind eating the bok Choy, I thought it tastes good, I’m just sick of eating greens and veggies now. Thought this place wasn’t too bad. Service was good when I came, but i guess it wasn’t super busy. I asked for hot water with honey and lemon, love how they give you a big jar of honey instead of those little small packets like American places do!

Found a better place to go… better kitchen, better price… Go to my latest review to find out where… My apology to China Bistro, but the F&B is brutal… You had a good run!

Very good selection of Chinese dishes such as my favorite beef chow mein or beef chow fun, won ton soup, and scrambled eggs with shrimp! Plenty of other choices to like the basil and clam, variety of fried rice dishes and many more! I don’t mind driving from OC to out here in these neck of the woods for some late night Chinese food! Service is great and food came out super quick.

If you’re looking for some good food come here! It’s a big plus that they’re open late and food is awesome, especially the Black Pepper Filet Mignon and the Wangyu Fried rice(I think that’s what it’s called). A big plus is the fresh coconut juice they have! And service is fast! The setting outside has a nice ambiance too…

We stopped coming to this restaurant four years ago due to the service was terribly slow. Today we wanted to give it a try again to see if there’s any improvement in service. Unfortunately, it was still as slow as years ago. We decided not to come back again!

Still one of my regular stops for Chinese food. The chicken wings and fried calamari are so good — the minced jalepenos and fried garlic they fry it with make it 10x better. Also the seafood chow fun with gravy is my favorite noodle dish here. Only downside is that nobody here seems to speak any English so they bring out the wrong dish/drink from time to time.

i love their crispy seafood chowmein! Usually order via phone and pick it up but on the phone it maybe hard to order or can get your order mistaken due to the language barier. I usually repeat it twice and ask if its the crispy noodles lol But definitely one of the best crispy seafood chowmein ive ever ate!

Pork Ribs Black Bean Rice ~ Pork Ribs is too dry, rice is burnt at the bottom very fast, comes with black bean but would prefer to have some black bean sauce to go with it. 2⁄10 Fishball, Melon, Shrimp, Turnip Soup ~ Soup is very flavorful but a little too much pepper. Melon is soft and sweet. Shrimp usually is pretty small, but it’s pretty big here. 7⁄10 Celery ~ Very crunchy and gravy is nice. 7⁄10 Deep Fried Pork Ribs ~ Taste kind of dry too though it’s is pretty good. 7⁄10 Clams ~ Clams is huge, comes with lots of red and green pepper and onions. 9⁄10

//AMBIANCE// I go here with my mom a lot! No tablecloths, but there are a ton of windows. I really enjoy sitting at a booth if the group is four or less. It has an outdoor patio for smokers. Warning, bathroom is small with two stalls. //OM NOMNOMS// Bitter Melon with Pork or beef: Delicious if you like bitter melon. It has a nice sauce. Cashew Nut Chicken: Celery, cashew, chicken, carrots, peas in a yummy sauce. Its the healthy Chinese version of chicken pot pie because it doesn’t have the heavy pastry and heavy cream sauce. Pork Chop with Peking Sauce: Deep fried crispy/crunchy pork that is glazed with a sweet and sour onion sauce. The pork chop just soaks up the flavor of this auce! Its delicious! I’m drooling just thinking about it. It pairs very well with rice and other dishes. I personally think this is better than the sweet and sour pork with pineapple and pepper Pork Chop with Spicy Salt: Same deep fried crispy/crunch pork chop as before but there is no sauce. Instead it is well seasoned with a flavorful garlic and spicy salt combination that comes with green onion. Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetable: This pork belly will melt in your mouth. Lemon Tea: very refreshing and they are generous with the refills. **Each dish comes with a plate of rice, but you get charged if you ask for more! **Get a dish for each person, share family style, and you should have leftovers for lunch the next day! //SERVICE// Not too bad, but this place can get busy. When it does, they might not check in with you, so you probably have to ask for refills, etc. //SUMMARY// Overall, China Bistro is a decent restaurant for standard Cantonese style food.

This place is super open and clean. The service is nice and efficient. Better than most chinese places. Things to eat: *Salt and Pepper Fried Tofu– love the onions and garlic. Super yum *Garlic Beef Stone Pot– similar to bibimbap. Let it sit so the rice is crispy. Good flavors *Pork Belly– this was DELICIOUS! The meat was tender and the fat was good. Super yummy Overall, great place to eat. Bad parking.

I haven’t been to this place for a long time and now I remember why we didn’t really like this place — it was because this restaurant has one of the worse acoustics — it’s really really loud and the noise of the people’s chatter just bounces from one wall to the other and therefore making the place extra loud and noisy and my parents are not fond of that at all so we stopped coming here. However all other aspects of the restaurant are good — the food is pretty good and at pretty fair prices. We ordered Beef Chow Fun, Scrambled Egg and BBQ Pork, Pepper & Salt Fish Fillet and Cold Shredded Sesame Oil Chicken. All the dishes are pretty tasty — I especially liked the Scrambled Egg and BBQ Pork and Cold Shredded Chicken dish. They have a pretty good selection of entrees and a la cart dishes on their menu. I also like how they have some pretty unique drink and juice selections. The service was pretty good — they were really busy but we were able to get what we needed and a few of the waiters are pretty friendly. We would really like this place a lot more if it just wasn’t so loud.

According to the AB13 law: «California’s landmark statewide smokefree law, AB13, protects millions of Californians from secondhand smoke exposure. In January 1995, many of California’s enclosed public places and workplaces went smokefree, and restaurants and bars went 100% smokefree in January 1998.» «Thankfully, numerous California communities have adopted local 100% smokefree laws that are stronger than the state law and close the gaps in indoor coverage, providing workers and the public 100% smokefree protection in enclosed workplaces and public places. Additionally, many California communities are expanding smokefree protections to outdoor workplaces and outdoor public places where people gather, such as near building entrances, in service lines, on patio dining areas, and at parks, beaches, community events, and recreation facilities.» Unfortunately, I guess there is an exception to this place because people were huffing and puffing away in the patio dining area. We were the only ones occupying the inside of the restaurant. Service was efficient and full of energy at this hour. Wow amazing! Tons of parking in the lot or streets. I have no appropriate words to describe the food. We ordered: –lemon iced tea: watered down tea. Actually it tasted like iced water with a hint of tea. –fried calamari: some were undercooked and it’s loaded with MSG. –beef stew and wonton with flat egg noodles and Chinese broccoli lo mein + shrimp wonton with flat noodles and Chinese broccoli lo mein: noodles was dry, no shrimp to be found in the wonton and to top it off it was rotten, broth was extremely salty. What happened to the cook today? I’m not sure. Nothing was decent at this meal. We left this place still hungry.
