I have been coming here for years. The workers are so nice, family workers. The food is always good! Honestly it’s better than Panda Express or any other place I have tried. Their chow mein is the best!

This place is really good for the price! The beef and potato and the orange chicken are my favorites. The service is really good and the food is always on point. You can walk in with 10 bucks and leave with a full stomach and left overs for the next day.

I must admit that I didn’t have very high standards for this place considering its one of those cheap Chinese take out places. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I got a couple of the Combo As, which was about $ 8 each. I got chow mein, BBQ pork, orange chicken, crab rangoons, and peppered steak. I also got a large egg flower soup for $ 6. What happens with most Chinese fast food places for me, is that I can only eat about half of the tray before I start feeling full, though I get hungrier sooner which is weird. For China Way though, I finished the entire thing in one sitting. Everything tasted great and I could taste the different flavors and seasonings in each item, where in other places I would just basically taste straight up salt. But even though I didn’t think that the food here isn’t AS salty as other places, the chow mein I think was still pretty salty. They also give a couple containers of hot sauces, one with sriracha and the other with chili oil. The chili oil has this sort of roasted flavor to it, and I liked pairing it with the bbq pork and pouring the oils over the chow mein. The egg flower soup is really nice to have on a cold day. There’s plenty of eggs and cabbage in the soup, and the large size can serve about 2 – 3 people. The only thing is that it is slightly bland since I don’t think they put much else aside from the eggs and cabbage. Overall I like this place, and I would come back again. It’s filling and cheap for its prices and I don’t get as much salt overload as I do from most other Chinese fast food places.

If this place can get lower than a zero I would, their noodles taste old. Their mushroom chicken had an after taste like fish! I don’t understand how that’s even possible. I’m not hard to please when it comes to food, but this to me was horribleZ

I cant find anything to complain about this place except they close at 8, but they are tired and want to go home. Very very reasonably priced, great value, they stuff the carton. I always get just noodles, delicious, and the spicy wings are da bomb. Excellent service, decent selection, and yes they have orange chicken i never get, i like the mushroom and zucchini chicken. My dog likes that as well as the noodles.

Delicious food. Acceptable price. Good customer service. The place is clean. But the only thing I don’t like is cash only.

So you want your basic version of what used to be $ 1 Chinese in the good old days? Well this is it now. However this is as average a steam table Chinese joint as you can find. But that is handy, if you want that kind of grub. Obviously it was in a lil strip mall on the corner of the Rosemead plaza(think target) and gets reasonable foot traffic. So the munchkin and I moseyed on in here and lo and behold, this entirely NON authentic place was bereft of asian folks. That is usually a sign to me. At least the munchkin was there with me as she is a halfie so they had that going for them. Pro Tip: CASHONLY! The bbq pork was overcooked. Not surprising to me, but it is what I ordered and looked the most appetizing of all of their entrees to me. I snookered a taste of the orange chicken from the munchkin much to her chagrin. It also tasted quite pedestrian errr average to me, but my daughter loved it. But she loves anything you tell her is orange chicken for the most part. *rolls*eyes*. The chow mein noodles were actually cooked well and quite tasty but there were hardly any veggies in it. Come on guys how much is head of cabbage and some julienned carrots… Apparently they are only allowed to use one carrot and one head of cabbage per day(hyperbole) but you catch my drift I am sure. So yeah meh food at meh prices for cash… huzzah!

Pro’s: friendly service and location looks clean. Cons: the food. I’m sorry but this was not what people make it out to be. The food looked old and the fried rice was not good at all, orange chicken was too sweet and Kung pao chicken looked a day old. Won’t becoming back here again.

This place is great. Customer service and the food itself. Ive been here a few times, but this time i was reminded as to why this place is so good. Upon entering im greeted by one of the ladies who is sitting down having lunch herself. There was a lady behind the counter already helping out a man in front of me. Instead of making me wait(which i wouldnt have minded) she stops eating and gets up to help me. Little things like that matter, some peoples time is more valuable to them. Anyways on to the food. I ordered the chow mein, which was perfect and orange chicken as well as the teriyaki chicken. You cant go wrong with any of them. She said to try the chicken egg roll because it has a lot of chicken. She wasnt lying. Theyre pretty damn awesome, better than Panda. Great job China Way! Ill definitely be back. Minus 1 star for cash only, but there is a BOFA atm right outside

–Love this place, when i got a game to watch, i usually get take-out go home and enjoy my entertainment eating this. — I usually go for the 2 item combo — I love the orange chicken and the beef with potatoes along with fried noodles. — They filled up the box tremendously with what you want. — 10x BETTER than Panda Express! — Very underated restaurant! — Satisfying Restaurant!

Best Chinese food I’ve tasted anywhere. Been coming here since I was a kid in elementary school. It’s been there in the plaza the longest while every other place seems to close down every few years. I usually go in and order a small chow mein and small steamed rice. Comes out to less than $ 5 and is more than enough to fill me up. You can get a combo and they usually fill it up so much that it’s hard to close the container they serve it in. Cash only. ATM outside.

How can even white rice be bad and taste like laundry detergent? And how can $ 82-item combo(mainly white rice) be cheap? Just had the worst Chinese fast food of my life! I’d give Panda Express a Michelin star now!

This is my go-to place when it comes to chinese fast food. Been coming here years now. Price is cheap for how much food you get. The food has always been fresh when i visited. I like how their orange chicken is not mostly batter like most places.

I really have not ate the typical Chinese food at China Way. I always get the soups. The soups deserve 5 stars. They taste so clean. I had the combo soup today. It cost me a little over $ 7. It came with about 7 shrimp in it, also pork and chicken. It was delicious. Just what I needed today because I wasn’t feeling well. I got the soup to go, best thing is to get the noodles separate, because they tend to get real thick when their left in the broth to long. Folks TRYTHESOUP!!!

I notice how this Chinese fast food received a 4 star review so i thought to myself, why not give this place a shot? So i did. As soon as i step into the store, i was greeted by one of the employees, cleaning the table. Though i wasn’t being greeted just once. As i went over to the counter, a man, assuming he’s the owner, greeted me and soon later a lady, assuming she’s the wife of the owner, greeted me once more. I must say, i felt so welcomed. They were so nice! Their orange chicken is dying for! It’s better than other Chinese fast food I’ve been too. Their chow mien is pretty good too! The Fried rice was okay. Overall, i got the Combo A which consisted of rice + chow mien and two side orders, which i got orange chicken and fried chicken wing. The fried chicken wing was alright. It came out to be $ 7.50 The price was reasonable. If you’re hungry and want a quick Chinese lunch, this would be a great place!

So yeah, you’re typical Chinese fast food, but I’m in love with their chow mein! Noodles are seasoned just right & really, all their options are yummy in the tummy. A never fail item for me(along with the chow mein) is the Orange chicken. They arent stingy when it comes to the portions and the employees are super nice(they’ll give out samples of you’re not sure what to get). Prices are reasonable & comparable to other similar joints. This is a cash only place, they don’t have any public restrooms and they’re closed on Sundays. Otherwise, enjoy! :)

I heart this place! Always satisfy my Chinese fast food craving! Two item combo! All chow mein. Don’t waste your time on the fried rice. Its not that great. With pepper steak and Kung pao chicken for the win! Oh and a side of the crab Rangoon with the sweet and sour sauce! Heaven in your mouth! Now usually the trick to making things more flavorful … I mix my sauces that they put on the kung pao and pepper steak on my noodles. This place beats out panda express anyday! In fact, any mom and pops Chinese fast-food place beats panda express. That’s my personal opinion! Cash only! And the staff are really nice! No public bathroom. Plenty of parking. Free fortune cookie!
