This place is really cheap if you don’t have insurance and really need to see a doctor. They give a discount to students. I want to say it’s $ 25 with the discount or maybe even $ 20, but I don’t remember. One of the receptionists is really nice and the other one is just okay. Now the real issue. I don’t really know much about doctors. I vaguely know the difference between an internal medicine doctor and any other doctor – different specialities. But these doctors, they don’t answer your questions or give you a diagnosis. They just look you over and give you a prescription. The examination process is not super thorough, but a session still ends up taking a long time. You spend most of it waiting in the room for the doctor to come back. A doctor is a doctor, can’t they all do a diagnosis? To me, the whole point of seeing a doctor is for a diagnosis. If you don’t know what’s wrong with you, how do you know what to do next? How do you know if it’s okay to eat this and that or do intense workouts, etc. When illness strikes you, you adjust your lifestyle for long-term benefits, but how do you do that without a diagnosis? Diagnosis’s are so important. I came here because my mother recommended it(solely because of the low price) and received a prescription for antibiotics for an infected mosquito bite. I already knew what was wrong with me and what I needed, so I was pleased. Although, the doctor looked at me like I was delusional when I told him what was wrong with me and that I was bite by a mosquito in my sleep. Yeah, he asked questions about when and where I was bite and in my head, I was like who cares! A bite is a bite For those of you that don’t know, if you scratch a mosquito bite, it can become infected and swell. You treat this with simple antibiotics. Unfortunately for me, my bite was on my ankle and I couldn’t walk. My bf on the other hand, he was hit by a car while walking across the street five years ago. He has 1 – 2 golfball sized bumps on his forearm that have never gone away to this day. Within the last year, 1 – 2 more bumps are mysteriously appeared and he is waking up stiff and in excruciating pain almost every morning. A wrong twist or tap could easily bring him to tears. Sometimes, parts of his body become swollen. He can’t work and do anything productive. All this was made know to the doctor and what did they do? Gave him anti-inflammatory medication(Naproxen) and sent him on his way. It’s all just swelling, she said. I had a good laugh. Btw, the medicine is not really helping. We had the same benefits with ibuprofen at a lower cost and he seems to becoming tolerant of the meds. Bottom line: if you think you have something serious or chronic, don’t come here. The medicine won’t help long-term. If it’s a temporary ailment and just need a prescription without forking out too much to see the doctor, then you could come here and save a little money. You could probably even get away with QVN as primary care if you’re a fairly healthy person.
