Amazing place close to the Montebello mall. My group made a stop here before a movie and it was great… I wanted to eat everything the truck offered! Prices are very affordable and you can’t go wrong with $ 1 tacos! Tacos: They’re all quite delicious – meat is tender, and depending what you get, it can be either heavy and smoky(like chorizo) or light but flavorful(like buche). My absolute fave was the buche… so soft and tender, mmmm… There was also quite a lot of meat on the two little corn tortillas, and the sauces they gave us were not too spicy(though I felt it could have more of a kick to it). The pollo for me, both flavor and texture-wise was a no-go though. Also, the tripas was very soft… at first I was worried they weren’t cooked enough but I’m fine today so it must have been just very well made! Another con that we noted were that the tortillas were rather soggy – and we ate them right away! Quesadilla: This thing is super cheesy and gooey with some onions and meat of your choice. I got lengua, though I would have gotten buche if I knew how darn tasty it’d be! Either way, this thing is borderline TOO cheesy, though my love of cheese refuses to let me say that it was excessive… The middle of the quesadilla would be dripping with the gooey dairy mess, and the outsides slightly lacking yet crispy. The quesadilla was also nowhere near as delicious cold as it is warm though, so eat it fast! Overall, I will definitely be back as it is very delicious for such a great price. I want more of everything!

Been here several times and usually I have a good experience. The past 2 times I’ve had issues, hopefully their quality or service doesn’t keep getting woest. Last time their Al pastor tacos which are usually rally good were not cooked through, they were raw. I had them change it and got a sad a again. Today I ordered my tacos with out salsa, since I was having an upset stomach. Well I got my order and my taco had salsa, when I told him that I requested no chile, he stated that I ordered it with everything. Yes I did, but I made it really clear to you I didn’t want salsa!!! Instead of changing the taco he argued and then changed it. To my luck my torta also had chile, I still ate it anyway since u wasn’t gonna go through the same s^!t.

How have I –not– tried this place before?! FOODQUALITY: Not the best tacos, but they’re pretty darn good. Everything is full of flavor, but I feel like they could have better salsa that was more refreshing and vibrant. Strangely enough, I also have never had a burrito that I felt was really«clean» until here. I’ve gotten the Asada or al pastor burrito with no beans and rice, and I was expecting a messy, greasy burrito but it was everything but that: it was full of flavor and seasoned well without much trace of grease or fat dripping. On top of that they slightly toast their tortillas too so you get a light, flaky crisp when you bite into your burrito. It’s cheap. It’s good. It’s fast. Go!

Good customer service. However, I’ve had better tacos. They should have a salsa bar outside with extra toppings. I really didint like their salsas. Too watery and flavorless. I mean c’mon! Whats a taco without good salsa? I liked their mulitas the first time I went. The second time they were wayyy to greasy. I mean, the oil just dripped all over so I had to wrap them in a few napkins before eating… smh. The horchata drink was good. They need to have better selection of drinks like jarritos & sangria.

This taco truck is the best around San Gabriel Blvd and Paramount! Tacos are good sized, I usually order 4. The al pastor is carved fresh, not fatty and tasty! In my opinion. it is some of the best al pastor around Montebello. The asada is good too. but nothing special. Tacos are typically $ 1 but some days are 2×1. I think on Tuesdays or Thursdays. My other favorites are the Torta with al pastor. It is a fresh bollio with avacado and beans inside. The burrito is also great! It has rice and beans inside. The quesadilla is excellent with pastor. but it is big and filling. All of these are also $ 5 each. We also order chile asados. Sometimes the are crispy and not fully cooked. The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because the truck does not have a salsa bar outside or self serve toppings like cilantro or pico de gallo etc. There is plenty of parking in the carwash parking lot. TACOON!

Best $ 1 tacos you’d want to eat. The meats are always cooked well and tasty. The quesadillas are a bit oily but no complaints, they’re great for $ 5 and they’re large. Enough for 2 to share. It’s 3 huge slices filled to the max. I’m not a big fan of burritos but I do like the ones they make. They’re not huge, but are filling and tasty for $ 5. They use really thin flour tortillas so I usually ask for double wrapped(2 tortillas) when I do order one. I haven’t tried the torta but I took some friends and they did. They looked well made and my friends said they were the tastiest they’ve had in a while because of the meat and the fresh ingredients used. The crew is friendly and all this adds up to me being here 2 – 4 times a week wether it’s for dinner or a late night snack. It’s never a bad visit.

Came after work at around 11pm. Line was about 10-deep throughout. Decent, Ample Parking in the Former Mobil Gas Station/Car Wash Parking Lot. Next to Church. I got their Carne Asada Burrito. It was Solid throughout. Decently sized cuts of meat, no beans or rice overwhelming all the other ingredients. Red Salsa was decently Spicy & Tasty though, I recommend a generous pour-over with each bite. I’ve yet to try their Tacos or Al Pastor meat. I saw their Pastor Spit«INSIDE» the back of the Taco Truck. Decently Priced. Mixed Crowd. Used to be a Dangerous Spot with Housing Project Apartments across the street.

This taco truck is a hidden gem! My husband and I live a couple of blocks away and we have dinner at this truck at least once a week. Our absolute favorite meats are the chorizo, tripe and cabeza. Their meat is flavorful, red and green salsa spicy and fresh, and the service is always prompt and great. This family has a great business going and we love to support small local business. We love you tacos!

Came here for a late night snack. I’m not sure what the hype is all about. I ordered carne asada tacos and cheese quesadillas. Tacos were bland but the quesadillas were filled with cheese and yummy. But it’s not too hard to make those! I was not impressed even though I was buzzed! Didn’t make it taste anymore better :(

Forgot to check in last night… came here after my work out for the first time. Great spot, yummy tacos and good prices! Thursday special pastor tacos buy one get one deal with a bottle of water for $ 2!!! Tacos have a nice kick of spice too. Wash it down with a orchata(which I just tried for the first time & it was good) It’s on the corner of paramount and San Gabriel. It’s got very bright lights. Can’t miss it

Finally knocked Los Potrillos off my bookmarked list! And, kicking myself for not going sooner. I’ve passed by 100s of times because it’s always parked down the street from a friend’s house. Couldn’t help but notice the bright lit banner and the fact that there’s always a line. It was too hot to cook and my husband was in one of his burrito moods. It being a Sunday night, most of his favorite places were already closed. «Hey, let’s go try that taco truck I’ve been wanting to try.» Walking up, I got all excited. They’ve got lengua & tripa! And a good selection of other meats. His first choice when trying out a new place is always Carne Asada. He was happy as heck. For a $ 5 burrito, the size was good and the fillings were tasty. He wasn’t too enthusiastic about the side of rice though. The burrito came with a small bag of radishes(which I stole), limes & some pretty good salsa. Lengua tacos are my favorite. They’re on the small side here, but for $ 1, no complaints. The meat was very tender! I ate 2 and was saving 1 for later, but that one mysteriously disappeared once #2 Son came home. The folks in the truck were very friendly. And, they’ve sure got their system down. Despite the line, our order was ready in no time! Yup, we’ll be back! ______________ Edited to add– My husband had a Thursday night off from work and went back because he heard about the tacos being 50cents on that day. Turns out it’s only for Al Pastor tacos.

Been wanting to try this place since I’d always see it on the way home after exiting the 60 fwy. It is located on San Gabriel blvd and hill Drive so it’s pretty hard to miss. I grew up in Lincoln heights so I’ve had my fair shares of Mexican food. This place is alright. It is not great but its also not bad. The tacos are $ 1 each. They also serve burrito, tortas, and quesadilla but idk the price for them since I didn’t order any of those. This review is only based on the tacos! I got 10 al pastor, 5 carne asada tacos and a horchata drink. It came out to $ 12 even. It is pretty cheap since I’m sharing it with 2 other people(I’m not a fatty). Overall, I’d come back only on Thursday when it’s 50 cents taco(al pastor meat). It is not 50 cents for all tacos; just the al pastor so don’t be fool by other peoples reviews. Thanks for reading.

Been wanting to try this place for quiet some time based off recommendation from my friends. Its located right on the corner so it’s hard to miss. I’m a big fan of street tacos so I have had my fair share of tacos =). None the less this place is pretty up there. You can tell a taco truck does well when they have 4 cooks inside the truck. In addition, they stew all their meats in a huge pot and then chop and grill them up. I got an al pastor and tripas burrito($ 5) and it was pretty good. They allowed me to get half and half meats we no extra charge! I got to try their quesadilla($ 5) which was also very good. The only thing I dislike about this place is the lack of a salsa bar. I even forgot to request extra salsa because I’m used to getting my salsa while I wait for my order. Pretty good food and would like to try their 50 cent taco week day specials. Wish they had a salsa bar though.

Pros: — $ 1 tacos — $.50 on Thursdays — Meat is spiced well — Workers are very friendly — Their hours are great — Their salsa is super spicy — Pastor tacos are AMAZING Cons: — Cash only — Parking can be a pain(just park in the car wash lot) — They have young kids working in and around the truck which kind of worries me — They don’t use plates unless you eat there
