Dr. Chen’s skill as a chiropractor is beyond reproach. His personal integrity is also top notch. I can tell you these things because I’ve been a patient of his for over five years. Prior to him, I’ve never gone to a chiropractor for the second year. And many I wouldn’t go back for the second visit. Why, you ask? Chiropractic field is an industry fraught with a lot of insurance-driven, car wrecked patients and practitioners. There are many shops out there that specialize in this kind of rich patients. Any personal injury lawyer can give you a Rolodex full of them. Dr. Chen doesn’t run one of those shops. He treats the underlying causes for his chronic patients, which is rewarding for the patient and for for him outside of the quick buck angle. That is a unique difference. Also, there are cases where his treatment wouldn’t be at best marginally beneficial and he’s always honest and upfront with his patients. Think on this: when’s the last time that your chiropractor tells you that his best treatment for you is not the best course of action for you as a patient. I’ve seen nearly 20 chiropractors in the past 20 years because of my chronic back problem. And I have met exactly ZERO chiropractor who was open and honest at the level of Dr. Chen’s. Most of these I have simply stopped going because I was tired of hearing: «If you come back 100 times over the next 100 days, you will eventually begin to perhaps feel better. Fingers crossed.» Let me give some specifics. With my first treatment, I felt an immediate positive effect and my bad back-induced limp immediately went way. As a bonus, his explanation of the biomechanical cause of pain and treatment just plain made sense. Over the next four months of weekly treatment, I now only need to see him once every to two months. Fantastic! So, yes, I am a fan. Beyond that I am grateful because I no longer live with debilitating pain ½ of my days. Now only some periodic tune-up is all I need. As a testament to how good I think he is, I’ve referred friends and relatives to him. Now I’d be happy to refer any Unilocalers to consult with him. See for yourself. This may be the best thing you can do for yourself if you have been living with chronic back pain.
