Love this restaurant! This is my favorite place to go on date nights with my husband. Really good food, great staff and amazing atmosphere. My favorites… fried calamari and juicy Lucy!!!

I really wanted to award 5 stars, but the beginning of our service was terrible. We were sat by a silent hostess who barely looked at us. No menus, no drinks, no indication of who our server was. We asked the hostess about menus and she grumpily informed us that there was only a buffet on Sunday’s. What about drinks? A blank stare, then«you’ll have a server». Waiting, waiting. I gave another hostess a quizzical look, she went and told our server. After that, things picked up. Live music started, the omelet guy was very nice and answered questions about the buffet. The food was great, hello ribs! Lots of healthy options as well as indulgences. Would like to see the menu sometime.

A place where I could have certainly had fun with the name had the food been terrible! «Food tastes so bad it turns your eyes red!» «Just seeing the food was giving me red eyes!» See! :) This just wasn’t the case though and I am perfectly fine with that. More and more friends of mine kept bugging me to check this place out saying the food was outstanding. The thing that I kept hearing was, «They have great burgers!» IT just doesn’t seem like the place that would specialize in burgers and I wasn’t expecting to see a juicy on the menu at a place like this(nicer restaurant) either. However, there was and I was set on trying it! Too many places overcook their juicy’s, but Rudy’s cooked it perfectly. Not only that, it was seasoned perfectly. Making it even better, there was plenty of cheese and a buttery and grilled bun to top it all off! For my followers, they know I have a ranking system for best juicy’s in the Twin Cities and Rudy’s is #1 on my list! It’s seriously that good! Matt’s is the best you say? You must like really bad tasting food is how I’ll reply! Matt’s could learn from this place instead of serving a White Castle version of a juicy lucy! I also made a stop here for their Breakfast Brunch with some of my neighbors and that too was very good. Plenty of items to choose from and if you head down to their location in Lakeville, it’s twice the size! All-in-all, Rudy’s is a place worth checking out and there are plenty of items on the menu worth going back for.

Box up your own food because half of it disappears on it’s way from your table into the kitchen and back.

Excellent service at the bar with food and drinks. We visited gor Sunday brunch. The walleye was outstanding and drinks were all made well. Nice slightly upscale ambiance.

I’ve been here twice and I’ve learned it’s hit or miss. The first time I was here was on a Saturday afternoon. It was extremely loud, the server wasn’t the greatest, but the food was fantastic. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which was $ 12, and with that came a side salad that was closer to the side of a regular salad. I ordered dessert — a large piece of chocolate cake, which was $ 13! I wasn’t expecting that, but otherwise, I think their prices are pretty comparable to anywhere else. Last night I ate here again and the service was wonderful, the restaurant was quiet, but the Juicy Lucy I ordered may not have been dead yet. It was scarily pink and the fries were over salty(and I love salt). So, I really think like anywhere else, it depends on who’s cooking and serving. Overall, though, I like it and will go back.

Service was very good. Went at 6 pm and it wasn’t very busy. Waitress was kind and helpful. Atmosphere was good. Menu was reasonably priced. Food was very good. Would definitely return.

Great lunch special. Mini walleye sandwiches, French onion soup and salad for $ 10. Best meal of my trip!

Every time we come here we get the best service, the restaurant is always spotless and the food is amazing. We eat here at least once a month and we highly recommend it!

I’ve ate here a few times. The food is pretty good. You’ll need a lot of money everything is really expensive. Seems like they separated the masses by making it too expensive for the common man. They have a really nice bar. I Drive by it several times a day and only wish I could eat there. Would be a great idea for a family gathering or a special occasion.

So we decided to give Rudy’s a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance right? Well, they nailed it for the most part this time. Only complaint is their salads are kind of a joke. It’s a MASSIVE bowl of romaine with a few toppings. I make better salads at home. Try their grilled chicken or their pork chop! Both good! Husband likes their pot pie as well as their walleye.

We used to have bad experiences at this restaurant. However, our last several visits have been quite nice. The food is very good and we really like the décor/ambience inside. Prices are reasonable to moderate… Affordable for a night out.

Overpriced and bland. Got some items to go and was terribly disappointed. I tried maybe 3 – 4 different dishes with my bro and sis. The consensus was that we should have just gone to ihop. The potential is there, but for whatever reason the execution is off. Can’t comment too much on the service because it was to-go, but the hostess that got our food was nice and courteous.

Great food at great prices, pork chop and blue cheese meatloaf are fantastic. If you want a steak they are great too if your on a budget the burgers are good. The walleye fingers on the kids meal are out if this world our kids clean the plate. As for the dessert, 18 layer chocolate cake is to die for,(I don’t eat much sweets) Nicole is their in house pastry chef and she never disappoints. We drive from Prior Lake to Rosemount as the Lakeville one is not the same owners. For the money you can skip the $ 100 steak houses and enjoy ya great meal at Rudy’s!

We have been to Rudy’s now for two Wedding Anniversaries and really love the place. Overall the service is great and the food is pricey but excellent. If you call ahead you can reserve the«Godfather» booth which has a curtain that closes and is great for special occasions. I’ve been there a few other times and the food and service has always been good. Very nice décor and ambience and they have live music at least one night a week. Overall it’s a great place for special occasions but maybe not great for a family outing due to price alone. Rudy’s will definitely become a place we go on a date at least a few times a year! Great local place! Highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is always fantastic! I have never been disappointed in anyway with anything I have ordered. They make their own blue cheese dressing and it honestly is the best I have ever had! I love their popovers and honey butter, the flirtini is fantastic, and they have wonderful green beans and au gratin potatoes. Honestly my only complaint is that sometimes(usually weekends) it can get a little loud so it is difficult to have a conversation.

We dined at Rudy’s for Mother’s Day and were seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time. They serve a buffet that has about 5 different salads(nothing outstanding), hot items that were mostly overcooked(hashbrowns, cheesy potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon), biscuits and gravy(strange aftertaste), etc… They had some fruit but it was hard to reach as the tray was set way back and the honeydew was unripe. At the end of the bar they has some smoked salmon(overcooked), capers and lemon. It was offset and you had to look. Rudy’s had a crêpe, pancake and omelette station. The crepes were great but very small. Sweet and savory made to order. The pancakes were thin but they would even make chocolate Mickey Mouse pancakes. Nice touch. A server came to our table offering Eggs Benedict which were pretty good but we never saw anyone serving them again. The carving station had prime rib that was good. Ham too. The dessert station had a chocolate fountain. It could have been excellent but the dippable items were limited. They had skewers but most items would not stay on the skewer; i.e. pound cake, in too small pieces, that was crumbly(try Angelfood next time). It was okay but for the money it should have been better.

This is the place that I go for special events and to celebrate something. If the prices weren’t so high, I would go more often. I used to love to come regularly when they had the all-you-can-eat snow crab but they discontinued carrying it instead of raising the price to accommodate the rising cost. I am not a martini kinda guy and neither is my wife but the Raspberry Flirtini is great. They do have AYCE ribs in place of the crab legs but not a big draw for me. The flame decorations behind the bar were really cool and trendy but they must have broke because they haven’t been on for awhile. You would think when you charge $ 30 for meals, you could afford to fix those. This place used to be my ultimate favorite place but it has declined a bit over the past couple years. It used to be an easy 5-star place. The live music nights is a nice touch that I enjoy.

First, I like the atmosphere. Slightly dim, with a background buzz that’s not too loud to carry on a conversation. On the night I was there, live music(I should find out who the duo was), great vocals and again, not overly loud. If you feel like staying in the ‘burbs for date night, give this place a try. I enjoyed their house chardonnay. The Chicken Pot Pie was creamy goodness on the inside, paired with the perfectly baked crust = just as good as, or possibly better than mom’s!
