I’ve been here a couple of times now and the food is pretty good if you’re looking for inexpensive Chinese. The first time I came the service wasn’t great but it was also really busy so I knew I would give it another chance. My husband and I went again and the second time the service was great. We had at least 3 employees checking on us. It wasn’t constant so I didn’t find it intrusive. They were just attentive and really nice. The food was good, although not my favorite the next day.

BESTCHINESEFOODEVER. I have been coming here for years(probably over ten!) and it’s pretty much always great. It’s very consistent, so I know that I won’t ever be caught off guard by anything. Their hot and sour soup is hands down, the best hot and sour soup I have ever had(I find myself comparing every single bowl of hot and sour soup I have to this one… and I’ve not found one as good yet!).

I’ve been a faithful Chopsticks fan for, no lie, 20 years. The last few times the food hasn’t been as good as it was in the past. An acquaintance mentioned that they too had been long time customers, but noticed how the place had gone downhill. Thought they heard it may have new owners. If that’s the case, new owners — take notice! One of our fav dishes is the lemon chicken — yes, it does have a fluorescent yellow look, but did used to be a great dish. Nice bite sized pieces or a tad bigger, lightly battered and I’m sure fried then tossed in the lemon glaze. What I got tonight was was dry, tender sized pieces of chicken. Not much glaze and really disappointing. Another fav, General Tsao’s chicken. Used to be nice, bite sized piece of chicken with their yummy sauce. Tonight, large chunks of chicken, like half a chicken breast sized. The sauce was sparse but still the same good sauce. And the service tonight was slow. Maybe it was more to go orders that kept them busy, as there weren’t that many customers. Sure hope they read this(and other reviews) and try to get things back to what they had before.

Just not very good. Threw most of it out because it was all pretty tasteless, except for a perfume aftertaste in the veggies.

I walked in to order some food to go. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful plus described every dish that I asked about in great detail. Helped me make a decision and the food was amazing. I got the garlic chicken, shrimp with snow peas and chow fun chow mein. The menu is huge and everything looks so good I’m definitely coming back soon.

I have been going to this location maybe twice a year for approx 13 years, so it’s about time I leave them a much deserved review. I only eat here once or twice a year only because my husband and I just don’t like to dine out that much, we just prefer my cooking. So went here yesterday for Lunch. I bought 3 lunch specials for my family. All lunch specials had the option for steamed rice or fried rice along with chow mein. So all 3 specials had fried rice and chow mein with included spring roll and I believe a choice of egg flower or hot and sour soup if you dine in. This time I ordered take out, so unfortunately I did not have their delicious hot and sour soup. All the times I have had the soup when I dined in or bought a small size and ordered it for take out it has always been consistent in flavor and quality. Good broth to ingredient ratio too, always the perfect amount veggies that come in the soup. Now back to the lunch specials. I ordered one Kung Pao Chicken, one Hunan Chicken and one General Chicken with a order of Crab Cheese Ragoons. I will start with the Crab Ragoons, OMG stuffed with very yummy smooth creamy cream cheese with a very good amount of crab and herbs mixed in with the cream cheese mixture. They were folded into Triangles and not that fancy fold like some other places, but that was fine with me because there was more filling in them I think being folded into a triangle. 8 comes in a order and I believe the price was $ 5.95, that’s the normal price too which I think is a pretty fair price. Each lunch special was $ 7.25 which is a terrific deal. The portions of the main dish, fried rice and chow mein are huge. If you were to buy each of these items alone they give you half the amount of food of each item that comes in the lunch special. Portion sizes though is maybe %15 of what I base my reviews on, quality along with cleanliness and customer service are the most important to me. The general chicken had decent size chunks of chicken, just wish it was spicy.(I am not a big spicy food eater) Next time I will order it extra spicy, I would like a little hint of heat from general chicken. The chicken was not over cooked or tasted fishy like some other places do, it had its own flavor and did not taste like the rest of other battered chicken dishes. I know some other Chinese food places where all the battered chicken dishes can taste almost the same with very little flavor change in the sauce. Also I love the fact that its not super salty compared to other Chinese Food places where you find yourself drinking a ton of water after eating. The Hunan Chicken was lightly battered with huge chunks of chicken. Wish the pieces were smaller and bite size. It had a very good flavor to it though and was cooked perfectly. Kung Pao chicken was good, I was not that impressed with it but its still better then tons of other places. Again no heat to the flavor, hardly any veggies and the kung pao sauce just didn’t taste that much like kung pao to me. Maybe it was because there was no heat in the sauce. However my husband thought it was excellent to him. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was decent. The chow mein noodles were thick not thin or like spaghetti noodles. They were the way they should be. Again not many veggies in the chow mein other than that it was excellent and flavor was on point. The fried rice was very good, right texture and flavor. I called in to place my take out order. The woman that took my order spoke perfect English, and was very nice as well. I asked the woman on the phone what dish she would recommend as I could not decide on two. She gave a very good recommendation and told me everything that came with the 2 dishes I could not decide on. I was not rushed and felt like a valued customer. Food was going to be ready in 15 min which was pretty fast considering all the food that I ordered for my family. Overall great prices, food, quality, portions and friendly helpful customer service. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars because I wish there were more fresh veggies in the dishes that come with veggies. And I really think the food would be a 5 star review if there was at least some kind of heat in the dishes that are suppose to be a little spicy.

I had lunch there yesterday. It was my first time there. Service great, very clean, free pot of hot tea and an abundance of food. I’ll definitely make a point of going there again

I ate here based on a friend’s suggestion. I thought I would try a new place for lunch where I could sit and get some work done. I ordered the mandarin chicken and the cream cheese rangoons. The food was fine, and enough for two meals. My issue with this place is the service. It was absolutely horrible. It has been a long time since I have felt like such an inconvenience being a customer. I was asked how I could be helped. I said I needed a table for one. I was told to wait by the front desk. The hostess/waitress walked past me and two other women walked through the door. She took them to a table before me. Once I was seated, I had to wait for a menu for about 4 minutes, and considered walking out. I finally got a menu and was served water. Once my order was taken, I had my food relatively quickly. Every plate was thrown on the table with no chance to ask for anything else. I was never asked if everything was okay, if I needed anything else, nothing. The next thing I knew, the check was thrown on my table. I put my card on the tray and before I knew it that was back. I asked for a box and that was thrown at me, along with a bag which landed on my food. Also, if you want to use a debit card, make sure you spend at least $ 10. Otherwise, they won’t take it and that deal of a $ 7.25 lunch special won’t apply to you. I highly doubt I will be back after the service I received today. I can tolerate inadequate service, but this was awful.

Two days ago I had the most unpleasant experience visiting Chopsticks in Roseville, CA. Let me first start by stating that I have always enjoyed this place including but not limited to the Pork Fried Rice, Wonton soup, and Honey Walnut Shrimp; however, I will NEVER bring my business back to this establishment again after finding a foreign object in my soup!!! This restaurant has always provided me with great food at a decent price but after this incident, I have decided NEVER to come back! Two days ago I ordered a Wonton soup for our table. After serving the family, I was down to the last bowl. I would expect an establishment to want to make things right after a foreign object was discovered in my soup. I have never felt so disrespected by any place in the food industry. Out of respect, most restaurants would at least try to make things right for a frequent patron to ensure customer satisfaction. Because there were other patrons in the restaurant, I quietly indicated to the waiter that I had found a rock about ½ inch in length in my Wonton soup which appeared to resemble a small piece of BBQ pork. Rather than apologizing and attempting to correct the situation by either replacing the soup or comping my order, they told me that this has never happened and it was not their fault. At this point, I became very frustrated due to a lack of attempt to resolve the situation. They told me the rock was from the Spinach, which seems reasonable, but not a rock of that size! Potentially this could have been a serious law suit if dental injuries occurred as a result of biting a rock of this size. Sustaining a tooth injury would have been grounds for bringing a law suit. The main waitress then stated, «Go ahead, Sue Me! I have insurance for that.» Very rarely do I argue with anyone in the food industry but given the situation, I was pissed! As stated above, I will NEVER bring my business back to Chopsticks. Previously, I have recommended this place to others but I will no longer be doing so. I would hope that no one has to experience horrible customer service or even discover foreign objects, such as rocks, in any dish served by any restaurant. As a last resort, they stated that they would take $ 5 off a $ 60 order, which is pretty much a slap in the face! I would NOT recommend Chopsticks Chinese food to anyone after this experience. Obviously, they could care less about satisfying a patron who discovered foreign objects in dishes served at their establishment. I will continue to share my experience with others hoping that they do not make the poor decision of dining at this location on Sunrise and Cirby in Roseville.

Just bad. Bland and tasteless. The waitress never listens to how I want my order. The food is loaded with MSG I’m always sleepy after I eat here. I asked her crispy noodles for my hot and sour soup and the waitress turns to me and says no! I know it’s a cultural thing but manners are manners and you should use them when you’re serving customers. I will not be returning.

I dropped in here for a working lunch last week and was impressed at how quickly I could get in and out of here– something that I want during my work day. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch special that got me soup, rice, noodles, the chicken, and an egg roll. ALL of that was only $ 7.75 which is a STEAL for lunch. I will be back if I’m nearby again!

Let me start by saying.,. Fast, efficient and delicious are the three exact words I could describe this place. Located between sunrise and cirby, where McDonald is. Now for my quick review Service: 3.5/ 5 I think they need more servers as when it gets busy I cannot blame the host to skip some details of the customers request on dine in on top of the take out and customers who like to pay and go. The service on the other hand given the situation, they are very fast and efficient and tried to be attentive as possible to get down with your food. Meals: 4.5÷5 Lunch menus are a good deal not only its affordable but it will suffice and surprise your appetite for a good Chinese meal. Ambience: 4⁄5 I would say in my own perspective, they have that traditional feeling of being in a Chinese restaurant. Over all ill ranked them a 4 star as for a lot of chinese restaurant around the area…

I ordered the sizzling rice soup. Flavor was ok, but kinda bland. The one star is mostly because when I had them pack up my soup they did not give me all of it. I had ¾ of my soup left and they put it in a small container that no way would of held all of my soup. There was several pieces of chicken left in the bowl and I ended up with only 2 small pieces in my to go container. Won’t eat her again.
