Like many DSW stores, they have tons of shoes but no size 14s in stock. The only reason I set foot in these stores is my wife. If not for her I’d never come here. It’s a nice store, but there’s nothing here for me.

Update** I do appreciate the manager calling me back and apologizing for her rude staff. And was very nice.:) great!

DSW is a BIG place for a shoe store and every time I go in there I curse them for the volume of options they have. I always begin at the back of the store in the clearance section then move on to the«full priced» shoes they have. While their offerings are less expensive then some, they are far from cheap. You may pay less at some other stores but there are way more options here and they are less then full price. I like the low walls so you can see virtually every shoe from anywhere in the store. I do like being able to try on the shoes at my own pace and not wait for them to be retrieved«from the back.» And if you ask, they actually do carry some overstock hidden away. Every time I am in the market for shoes I do stop here but I would say I walk out with nothing more often then not. But, it beats walking around to 20 different brand stores if you are not super particular that you need a certain brand. I like all the options but their prices are still a bit high, even in the clearance, but still always worth a look

Called the store to ask a simple question about whether or not they had a shoe, talked to various people who all sounded like teenaged girls that were not even able to comprehend my extremely simple question, let alone answer it. Was put ‘on hold’ and listened to their inane banter. Eventually the girl in charge told her to tell me to come in and check for myself. No thanks.

Maybe it’s just me, but for a place with a sea of shoes, a lot of the time I walk out empty handed. There is a huge selection of shoes, just nothing I was looking for. Also, for a discount retailer, I think a lot of the prices are still a tad high even some of the clearance items. They carry a good amount of Bandolino; one of my favorite brands and Franco Sarto which is a plus. The light house music is nice to browse and shop to. On occasion I have found some pretty good deals when winter ends. They do have an excellent selection of boots.

Great selection if you are an average size; however, if you run on the larger size, you need to look closely. Lately they’ve been putting bright yellow stickers on the larger(11) or extra small(5) size boxes to show the size. Great prices and a huge clearance section.

I don’t buy shoes anywhere else. Has almost every label imaginable. Great prices. I don’t think there is a better selection anywhere. The bigh deparment stores don’t even have a variety like this. You can get every major brand here and even some of the lesser known ones too. I once bought a pair of $ 160 boots here for $ 50. I still wear them even though(because I walk hard not because of quality) I have had to replace the tips on the heels 4x. Best place to get Minnetonka moccasins as well. The handbag selection is nothing to scoff at either. This may be the best place to get Guess bags. They always have a ton of them.

You know, I got my wedding shoes at DSW. They were a really cute pair of shoes that matched my dress perfectly and weren’t very expensive. They turned out to be not so comfortable though and I wish I’d spent more on shoes that could sustain the 12 hour day on my feet. Lesson learned about Chinese laundry. As for DSW, it is like Posh Payless. Minimal customer service, and you hunt through acres of shoes, then when you find a pair, you have to see if it’s in your size. I like the sale room in the back and I appreciate the bargain purses, but otherwise, I’ve gone a bit off the whole DSW experience.

DSW Shoes at Rosedale Shopping Center is a godsend. It is only recently opened at this location and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been in the DSW Shoes store at the Mall of America but I’d rather attempt going to Macy’s again(see Macy’s review) than try to shop at that location. This location is smaller than the one at the Mall of America so I was happy not to feel overwhelmed by the selection. They also have a wonderful clearance room which proved to be a gold mine for me. The customer service was EXCELLENT. The service staff seemed genuinely interested in what it was I wanted to find and made every effort to satisfy my experience. They were also upbeat and happy — something few and far between in customer service these days. The bottom line: I’ll absolutely go here again. The old adage does hold true — you never get another chance to make a good impression. Well, DSW at Rosedale was successful.
