Lava Hookah Lounge

Great customer service (changed bowl when we didn’t like the flavor), personally talked to us about his product (the owner Johnny) and the prices were right ($ ¹⁰⁄₂ people). This business is right for me.

My friends and I came here a little while ago wanting to smoke some hookah after having a drink across the way at the Glass Turtle. One of the workers said that we were going to have to either wait, or find somewhere to sit outside because all of inside was «reserved». The inside has plenty of open areas, and I noticed that most of the people in the reserved areas were people under the age of 18… (I know this because my sister in law met us there and she had just turned 18 and knew a huge group of people there from highschool) Furthermore, I find it interesting because I thought the California law was no tobacco products are sold to anyone under the legal age of 18! BAD MOVE!

Of came over here by like 50 times and at the end then to fucking over so I want to go. The only reason why we go there anymore as of you want to have that one crazy night again. Which ended with a meth party. :(

Came in on the 4^th of July, and I had been to this lounge once before, but it was absolutely the most disgusting experience I have ever had.
The lounge itself (which is SUPPOSED to be for 18+) has minors come in regularly, and even promote the business. The selection of flavors (which was almost nonexistent) was terrible as well. One of the hookahs my friends and I had ordered didn’t even start or smoke at all really, and no one had tried to help us or anything at all. The «customers» they had on the inside were dancing and dry humping each other on the ground, and all looked underage as well. These teenage «kids» here had been behaving more like animals, and the staff was promoting it as well. Will NEVER return, and hopefully this place caught for their illicit activity in the near future.

too loud holy moly cant even talk or think in peace. it would be a good place for a dance party if it ever got to that. dope dj tho. too bad its not as poppin as exhale

came here on a dj night and chose to sit outside. couldn’t hear shit inside. ordered 2 hookahs.

Under age drinking all the time. Small crammed place. Have never had a good hookah there idk why it is so hard for them to learn how to make a good hookah. Nice looking seats but feel like sshhhhiiiii*. Only take cash but don’t have a ATM to resolve that issue. Saw owner at the bar drunk before I went in there. Probably why there ends up being under age drinking there all the time.
Go to exhale in Roseville if your looking for a clean environment, good hookahs, and awesome service. This place is a dump.

I like the atmosphere, but there isnt a good selection of shisha here. They have few house blends and they don’t carry most top brand shisha (like fantasia). All I can say is that they are cheap for a reason.

I went to hookah bar with friends and the service wasn’t so good. If you want anything, you have to go to the counter. Even if you waive a hand, they wouldn’t attend for changing coals. The hookah quality isn’t so good… and the pipes weren’t so good either. No matter how hard you smoke, the hookah wouldn’t give thick smoke.

Bring your friends, indoor or outdoor and the bar is right next door. Can’t beat that

–amazing customer service. the owner is so friendly and wants you to have a great experience… rookie or a hookah pro!
–hookah lavors are all tonic (wish he carried others. i enjoy fumari myself) and are displayed and labeled in a glass case… smell some!
–hookah prices are hands down the best i have seen in norcal! they also use the coconut charcoals which burn more evenly and cleaner than terrible insta lights and hot dog style charcoals! GET THE $ 5 ICE TIP FOR AN AWESOME HOOKAH TIME BTW~
–very clean setup, lots of lcd tvs up displaying photos of people smoking and having a great time. i went on a thursday, and one of the girls was playing music and music videos off the apple tv. freaking awesome!
–music they play here is typical. hip hop rap and gangsta music. loud but crazy bumpin! so u can talk to your friends easily!
–like i said A1 customer service, they come around and make sure you hookah is hitting, and charcoals are good.
CONS: none really. just wish they had…
–they take cash only… minimum they should take is debit… or have an atm machine.
–super minimum selection of drinks. bottled water sodas regular monster and gatorade.
–no menus offering fruit head hookahs, ice in the base, or different liquids in the base. i love using orange sodas in my hookah at home… so tasty trust me!

I’ve been to a couple places. I thought I would really like this one based on all the hype and reviews. To start off, the second after me and my friends parked and walked in we had eyes like daggers staring at us, as if we weren’t welcome. We bought two hookahs, and it was chill at first. But 30 minutes into the session, one of our hookahs stopped smoking. They told us we needed a refill; but only after 30 minutes? Really? I’m not paying an extra $ 5 on something that should already last at least 1 ½ hours to 2. So we were stuck with the other that was still ripping pretty smoothly. Next, if you’re into smoke tricks, you might want to choose another place because the draft in there is insane if there’s more than 10 bodies in the room. The only good thing I can say is that their taste in music fits the occasion of a nice smoke session. I would compliment the prices on being fair, but like I said, our hookah died after only 30 minutes (and I smoke a lot so I know how to handle coals and how long a session should last). Like I said, good music, a pretty chill vibe (besides the daggers staring at you), but overall not a place I would return to.

I’m not sure I went to the right place after reading the reviews, because customer service ABSOLUTELY sucks over here! Like one reviewer said, «there’s no customer service here.» My family and I were in line for days because we thought the dude in front of us was a customer but we realized he wasn’t because he and the girl working behind the table were having a chat about their work schedule… until (I’m assuming) the owner yelled at the girl to stop because there were customers.
The place was pretty packed… so many of what looked like high schoolers and especially girls who were definitely dressed to the nines— IT’S NOT A CLUB GIRLS!

I give it three stars for the owner yelling at that girl, for being inexpensive, and for their variety of flavors. As for their music, it wasn’t too bad— I actually kind of enjoyed it cause they were playing old school music (videos),

Literally the best hookah lounge in the Sacramento area. Fair prices, great customer service and excellent shisha. They have two flat screens playing music videos all night long (Monday nights are movie night) and the comfiest couches. I’ve tried most of the other lounges in the area but Lava is my favorite and I highly recommend it to any one looking for a good place to kickback with friends. It’s also right next to a bar, which is a huge plus if you’re of drinking age. I could go on for days about how much I love this place.

Super reasonably priced and the owner Johnny takes great care of his customers. We hated out flavor and he switched it out for us no problem. Great customer service. Best hooka bar around.

I absolutely love this place. The owner, Johnny, is super sweet and the whole staff is very attentive. They play music videos on flat screen tvs and you can request different songs. DJ on Wednesday nights. High quality hookahs, I just wish they’d switch to starbuzz instead of tonic, but thats a personal preference. Overall, it’s definitely worth the drive. Have a few drinks at the glass turtle next door, then let them sink in at lava.

I liked this hookah lounger specifically because it was geared toward a younger crowd but it was still a nice clean lounge. It’s very dark with laser lights and the latest in music videos playing on flat screens. $ 15 hookah. Coals took a while to heat up. We waited for 10 min with a hookah in front of us and no coals. Owner is nice and gracious to have new customers come in. Good place to go after glass turtle.
