Should have posted this a few weeks ago when I went, but I just want to make sure I post it now as I rarely have positive experiences with shopping for underwear. Bra shopping gives me MAJOR anxiety attacks and the women here at Soma made me feel awesome even though my nerves were hammering! I went for a quick shop to find a strapless bra. I left with a great bra. My only complaint would be the selection of strapless was between only two bra types, which seems very limiting.

I honestly didn’t know about them until I was looking for a camisole bra and one of the stores upstairs in the mall suggested that I check them out. I was able to find some bras that fit well and the sales team was knowledgeable and friendly. Buying bras is one of the worst things to shop for in my opinion and the atmosphere was very relaxed unlike the stress I feel when I go into Victoria Secret. Besides, Soma has bras that actually fit REAL bodies, especially if you’re older or have had children. I don’t think enough people know about them yet so I want to help get the word out there. Check them out at Rosedale, you’ll be happy you did!

Soma keeps me fitted in fun, flirty fashion. As a larger lady who is somewhere between the highest numbers of Juniors/Women and the lowest numbers of Plus Size, I can appreciate a clothing company that does not force me to wear frumpy frocks and embraces my curves as much as I do. You have no idea(well, maybe you do if you’re built like I am) how frustrating and disheartening it can be to go into a dressing room with two dozen items and MAYBE come out with one. So you can imagine my joy when EVERYTHING I tried on looked good on me. Yes, some things looked better than others, but there wasn’t a single piece of clothing that did not flatter. I felt like they had been custom tailored to accentuate my assets and hide the flaws. Just the right amount of tight at the bust, loose but form-fitting at the waist and a busy pattern or great cut to smooth out my hips. I wanted to buy all of them! Unfortunately, the price keeps me from going crazy. That’s really the only drawback here. You are paying for quality. I remember sticker shock a couple times when I pulled a great dress down and saw it was $ 60. Shirts were going for $ 40+. You get the idea. Expect to pay over $ 100 for a full outfit. Even the clearance rack had me blinking because I couldn’t believe my eyes when some dresses were $ 45 after 30% off. So thank Jeebus for their super-duper online sales that make most pieces come to about $ 17 each. What else is great about Soma? Their outfits are VERY user-friendly. I like to wash and wear and don’t like clothes that require special attention. The clothing is extremely wrinkle resistant, you can wash it in the machine if you have a good mesh garment bag, and it dries quickly. It’s also water resistant. I know this because my friend’s daughter accidentally spilled an entire Strawberry Lemonade on my Tunic and after getting the majority of it off with a napkin the thing was dry in less than 10 minutes with no visible stains.
