US Post Office

If you want to know why the US post office has such a lousy reputation, visit the Sierra Gardens branch in Roseville, CA. Based on attitude, it is so apparent the people behind the counter are just doing their time until retirement. It’s obvious they could care less about the clientele. And if you really wanna run for the money, visit the woman behind the locked door in the lobby. This individual has without question The worst attitude and has absolutely no business helping people. She is rude, arrogant, yells at you and creates the impression that she can’t stand working for the post office. For the third time, I have had problems opening my mailbox in the lobby and was told by one of the male workers that there was a problem with the lock and that he would fix it. I couldn’t get my key out the next day so obviously it was never fixed. Today that woman behind the locked door said to me give me your key (her exact words) and she opened the box but had great difficulty locking it. I informed her that I was also having the same problem she just had and she let me know that there was nothing wrong with the box and that was the end of the conversation. My advice to anybody considering renting a PO Box, Would be to find another location in Roseville because this place on Sierra Gardens is in my opinion, the very worst example of what a post office should be.

I mailed out my bills and about a week later all my mail started coming back with the yellow label Return to Sender undeliverable address unknown. Really? PGE, COMCAST, ATT, Roseville Electric?
So I went to the PO and the lady ripped up the labels and threw them out saying it probably wont happen again, yeah well it continues and then I call the Station Manger and he says we can’t help you with out the label and you need to come doen here. Oh I just about blew up after telling him I already did and he says oh well.
Now I have a package coming two day shipping, well it shows it was out for delivery at 807 am a few days ago but never showed, called them up and they tell me they had some no shows at work and are late but the package will be there by the evening, no show and the website show no updates for days. This PO is the worst.

Horrible service. Inconsistent with sent out orders. Paid .71 cents for the first two times I sent out an envelope and i just went to send out another envelope with the same size, same weight and was charged $ 2.50. When I said something he argued with me asking for the name of the person who charged me .71 cents. I didn’t give the names because it was TWO different people. He’s the first one two charge me $ 2.50. I send these out regularly but won’t be coming to this office anymore. Post office or no post office, you NEVER argue with a customer. He should have looked into it or grabbed a manager, this is so unprofessional.

Lost my mail, very poor costumer service.
Can’t file claim because no insurance.

i hate this post office many times i have other people’s mail in my box. they stopped putting my pg&e bill in my box and in someone elses box i didnt pay attention as i had other things going on. as u expect all ur bills to be in ur box. so my bill went un paid thank goodness my neighbor brought it to me b4 my services were shut off. this is the dumbest office ive ever come across theirs only one post man who delivers mail there with blond hair thats really nice an upstanding family man we’ve talked in passing that knows what hes doing.

This review goes along with the picture of the D*CK as drawn by the ROSEVILLE POST OFFICE WORKER. We write «fragile» we write «handle with care» we write «do not throw please» and my boxes come wrecked and rotten — So we ask «handle with respect» and this is what we get. A no class, disrespectful and all around idiot who draws a D*CK on the box and writes «yes boss» — yea, if I were your boss you’d be out of your f’n job! I’m actually impressed that this person knew how to spell «yes» and «boss» I guess you got to give credit there. Cuz that’s all there is to give.

I have never written a negative review about any business so congratulations, you’re the first. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered to my home. Never before has there been an issue with receiving any of my mail. For some reason, this package was «undeliverable to address» and then forwarded down to Los Angeles. After going in, being told it was my fault for not having a Vacant/​New Resident slip (I’ve been living there for two years) When it finally did return, the tracking information says «Package Delivered at/​to Mailbox» and still does. There was no package in the mailbox. No notice anywhere saying they attempted to deliver. I contacted USPS and they proceeded to tell me that a notice was left (nope) and that they had the package. So why is it listed as delivered??? They also told me it was my fault because my name wasn’t listed as the resident. This is is not the first time and to be honest, every experience has been a laughable serious of incompetent attempts to shift blame.
To be fair, the whole USPS system is a joke. They’ve lost two letters, my laptop, which was supposed to be forwarded to me from GTMO is caught somewhere in limbo. Whilst in GTMO I received several packages that looked like they have been subject to a full 90 minute soccer match. So do yourself a favor. Don’t use them. Ever.

«Going postal» now I understand that saying … I was flabbergasted by the bullying I received from the carrier supervisor … I wish I could go into detail but it’s not worth it — I cried after I talked to him … I felt belittled and actually scared of him. I know it’s tough to go to work everyday and put on a smile and be helpful but it goes a long way. I hope They get better people putting off good vibes in this place soon because according to these reviews and the people I’ve talked to … It’s a sad place to have to go — I dread it every single time because I know I won’t be treated with respect… No matter how much I smile and try

this post office is the worst of the worst of the worst i have ever come across. they fail to deliver packages on time! put them in the wrong mail box! or forget to deliver them period! they dont answer the phone on one of my phone lines its busy on the other its ringing neither they answer. this office needs to be shut down or they all need to be fired. i shouldnt have check behind them like little children do ur job. stop wasting my time. u people are horrible. u suck at ur job and ur people skills u have none do not procreate ur awful. package was out for delivery today GUESS WHAT NEVER CAME! Excellent experience. I was met by Sue who answered my questions and helped me figure out what I needed before I even got in line.
Then Rodger helped me get the right tape and packaging to optimized cost and delivery time.
I asked a ton of questions and everyone was professional and helpful.

This is beyond any shadow of a doubt the worst Post Office in the Country. The dumb bells do not have enough sense to know the difference between incoming & outgoing mail I had a package with tracking that showed as being out for delivery & some dufus sent it to West Sacramento. The other time I had a package get pilfered by a dishonest Carrier at the same PO I think it is time to Privatize the USPS

Doesnt surprise me and government workers, but I waited 45 minutes in line with 1 or 2 people working and like 12 – 13 people ahead of me, line was out the door and one of the guys was like well im taking lunch no more helping anyone. No wonder they are almost bankrupt.

Avoid this one. they do not reliably scan and often lose mail. I run a mail order business, and these guys are the worst. My customers call me asking where their packages are, and what can I tell them? The Post Office didn’t even scan the label so it makes me look bad. What good a postal service if it doesn’t work as expected?

Everytime I go to this location, I am always dissappointed. They are are not friendly. Not helpful. I have to comeback 3−4x to accomplish what I need to do. I hope this location shut down Or new employees that is helpful???

I have NEVER experienced a problem at this post office. The staff is very friendly Yes, there are long lines — but that is because Roseville needs more offices not because they are slow. They take care with each customer and in the end is that what we all want!

Absolutely awful costumer service. I have been trying to reach them for the past week and have yet to receive a reply.

Terrible.
Stood in 2 different lines to inquire after my missing mail (changed my address 3 weeks ago). I no longer live in Roseville, but after several unanswered phone calls & putting in a notice with USPS’ customer service I decided to pay them a visit in person. Spoke to 2 employees. 1 told me my mail had been sent to Southern Ca. The other (the SUPERVISOR) said he had no idea where it was. No apology offered. They were supposed to call me back by the end of the day with an answer. And, for the 2^nd time, they didn’t.
Seriously, just call USPS customer service. They have a call-​back option so you don’t have to sit on hold all day. Or go to the post office on Vernon. Avoid this place if possible. They’ll just run you in circles.

USPS can vary from location to location, but the Roseville office does not know what they are doing. I have had packages returned because they were 2oz over the weight, because my scale said something completely different. Their consumer service is horrible and I believe her name is Kelly, who is the manager, never handles issues. Maybe there needs to be better management to make sure mail isn’t being lost or other issues. It’s a place I’m scared of dropping off my packages, because they always go missing or they ask for more money than what is suppose to be paid for. It’s just this location that I have ever had issues with.

I needed to buy stamps for the first time so I came to the nearest post office. I had no idea how to use the self service kiosk to buy stamps or even where to drop my mail o. O
Fellow customers are the best here. They were super friendly and helped me through this issue. Crazy, 25 years old and it’s my first time buying stamps lmao. I usually pay my bills online or there’s pre postage already on the envelope. So thank you fellow patrons for helping me today. ;)

If you have to mail a package, go inside and drop if off or if you’ve read the other reviews, go to a different post office.
I drove up to the drive-​thru drop off boxes and my package was about ¾ of the way in the slot before it got stuck. Well not stuck exactly, but I couldn’t reach far enough to slide it all the way through so I had to get out of my car and push it the rest of the way.
Only 30 seconds had elapsed from when I drove up to when I drove off, but in that time a huge line of cars formed behind me and their very irate drivers were yelling at me and honking their horns. I guess all their holiday cheer had dried up.
I think this sums it up nicely:
~T’was the day after Christmas and all through the lot, not a single nice person was there, is the impression I got. They were mad, they were angry, there was honking galore, but they just didn’t want to wait anymore. The guy at the box, annoyed and alone, mailed his package and drove off home.~

Just left this PO after mailing an important piece of mail. It is late evening on Labor Day… WARNING! your holiday weekend mail is NOT safe & secure here. The slot inside where letters are supposed to be inserted into the drop is JAMMED full of weekend mail… I could’ve stuck my fingers in & pulled out ppls mail & had a treasure trove of confidential information, checks & God knows what else. Can’t believe that the US Postal Svc is not putting safeguards into place to prevent this… especially with identity theft so rampant. This is a no-​brainer. Shame on you! I pushed that mail back with my fingers as far as I could & pray that nothing gets stolen…
