I stopped in here before my wedding because I had messed up two nails the day before. I didn’t get them done here in the first place but they fixed the polish and didn’t charge me anything! I know it only took five minutes but that sort of nice gesture is unexpected and really sweet so I had to give them a little Unilocal and I would go back there when in the neighborhood

I visited this salon on a GROUPON. When I told the(male) owner I was using a GROUPON, he said I had to pay $ 5. to soak off the gel polish I already had on my nails. I explained that I did not think that was good customer service and he did not charge me $ 5. on my way out. Kathy did a nice job, Pedi and gel mani, I don’t think the place was sparkling clean, but it was quiet and fairly relaxing on a Tuesday after work. They did tell me a regular pedi was $ 20., and a gel mani is normally $ 25., I find that rather pricey compared to other salons on the Island.

After having a bad experience at another local Nail Spa, I turned here(well, actually walking since I work in the shopping center). Amy does my nails every week and is the absolute best(as long as she is not in a rush). Angel Tips is located in the shopping center with Holiday Farms and Carvel. The gentleman who mans the front counter is the owner and his wife works the booth directly behind him. There really isn’t a wait area since they remodeled and have installed extra dryers so if the dryers are filled people will crowd around where the polish station is. The wax room chair/table desperately needs to be fixed. Whenever I get my eyebrows done the swaying movement of the table leaves me seasick.

I really enjoy being greeted by the owners and staff by my first name as soon as I walk through the door. The staff is really friendly and always nice. I’ve been getting my nails done here for years and I really like the way my manicure and pedicure looks when I leave. They just redesigned the place and I think it looks more calming and relaxing, which is just how I want to feel when I’m getting a manicure and pedicure. Also, the prices are pretty good, especially for Roslyn.

I received abrupt, pushy service for a pedicure here. I’ve had enough pedicures to understand that I was very much ripped off. There was no massage, they left my feet rough on the bottom, and I had to ask for an extra coat of polish so it wasn’t translucent looking. The massage chair was also wonky. The entire process took about 12 minutes and the polish chipped almost immediately. Meanwhile, the lady next to me received star treatment for the same service. When I complained, I was told I they didn’t scrub my feet as much because I was young. That doesn’t mean I should leave with rough feet! Your feet should be baby soft when you leave a pedicure, no matter how old you are. Just because I’m young and my feet are nice and lacking callusy outgrowths doesn’t mean they couldn’t use a good scrub, especially on the bottom. But it’s weird enough asking someone to scrub your feet, even if that’s what you pay for during a pedicure, so I left high disappointed, with rough feet, and feeling seriously ripped off. The lady was also visibly annoyed when I didn’t tip her, and she charged my card mid-pedicure. Ugh. So disappointed. I feel like I paid 20 bucks to get my feet wet and toe nails painted.
