As a regular patron of ambiance salon for over 15 years, I must strongly disagree with the awful comments made by Maria C. Dana is a top colorist at this salon and I find her to be very professional. As far as the owners, I have never had a problem. I always found them to be caring with their clients. I think someone is looking for something for free.

I never write reviews but this place is crazy. The crazy thing is that Taylor has given me the best color that I have ever had. She is great to deal with and a true professional. The hairstylists are top notch as well. Sad that I will not be going back. The reception staff is completely obnoxious and make you feel like you owe them something. The owner is a selfish disgusting man that does not appreciate his customers. A real shame as I really like my hair color but I will not give my money to anyone that can treat people this way.

If you’re looking for a new salon give Ambiance a shot– especially if you’re looking for a new colorist! I’ve been going to Dana and I absolutely love what she has done to my hair. I went from a boring brown to a fun blonde with minimal damage. My hair is thin to begin with and I have trust in Dana and that says a lot. A good hair colorist won’t do you wrong or perform services that could potentially fry your hair like some other inexperienced colorists and salons do.
The staff here is friendly and professional, appointments are pretty much always available, the girls call to remind you and confirm your appointments, and parking is always available. :)

I have been going to Ambiance for over ten years for cut and color. Although I live in Manhattan, I try to make appointments at Ambiance when I visit family. For color (blond highlights), I go to either Kim or Veronica – both are amazing, and fun to talk to. You will not sit in the colorist’s chair in complete silence, which I think is totally awkward! They are engaging, awesome women who have done a kickass job each time.
For cut and style I *always* go to Ella. There is literally no one there who is better, in my opinion. She is the sweetest person and always does and uh-may-zing job. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

I went to Ambiance to get my hair done for my daughter’s wedding based on a friend’s recommendation. I could not have been happier with the results. Cathy did my hair without doing a trial first and I loved it. She is exceptional and has a wonderful eye. My curly hair could not have looked better.

I highly recommend Taylor and the staff of colorists at this salon. I have been to the best salons in Manhattan over the years and can say with qualified experience that Taylor is very talented and listens to the customers thoughts when offering her years of experience to give you the perfect color to make you feel beautiful. The staff here are highly talented and accommodating to each customer on an individual basis making you know you are important to them.

I am totally in love with this place. I’ve been getting my haircut here for over 2 years and can’t imagine going anywhere else. Eddie works miracles with the scissors and Jonathon is a rock star with the blow dryer. Every time I get my hair done here no matter how gross I feel going in, I always leave feeling like a sexy beast. They treat all their customers like old friends. I also got my hair relaxed here and it was handled perfectly. Just the look I asked for. The only side note is do not go on a weekend if that is an option. It is very crowded and overwhelming on weekends. There is practically a cloud inside the salon from blow dryer heat.
