I purchased a $ 225 cashmere sweater at Katherine Tess and after 2 wears it was so badly pilled, I couldn’t wear it. After initially getting the run-​around, I was basically told tough– «nothing we can do about it.» BUYERS BEWARE!!!

RUDE! The owner Katherine herself should NOT ever be allowed to talk to customers who walks into her shop. When my sisters and I entered the shop located in Roslyn, there was one sales associate and her on the phone. We started to look around and less than a minute, she walked over to us and said «Be careful that is very delicate!» and continued on her phone conversation. All I did was pick up a porcelain tray which I own a couple of these myself at home and she thought I was going to break it? I’m in my late 30’s and not a 3 year old child. I simply placed the tray back on her display and we walked out of the store.
I was there a few months before during late summer and bought a coral gold earrings which I now regret purchasing anything from a shop owner who is so rude. I’m one of those who endorse local shops to better our community which I will continue to do so however, will not be shopping to this particular store ever again.
