I have really gained an appreciation for the variety of riding levels, skills development areas, and a great freeride /downhill that will make you poop your pants. Or at least stop and evaluate before you move forward. A great area to push the envelope as much as, or as little as you’re willing. An area to learn faster so yesterday’s challenges are nothing more than speed bumps.

Great trails. I recommend though to be pretty good before going here, I fell several times and hurt my wrist on the green trails… not to mention I rolled down a cliff in poison ivy.

I’ve used this Nature Trail as a mid-day jog, since it’s about a quarter mile from my office. That said, I’ve never parked here or used the facilities on the end towards the Greenway. The nature trail is well maintained, and mostly even(not too many roots or huge rocks). The path intersects the bike trail in spots, so I’d be careful on evenings and weekends to listen for people approaching. Running counterclockwise from the parking lot, it’s mostly downhill for the first half and mostly uphill for the second. One loop is 1.42 miles according to the sign. It’s completely wooded, with plenty of twists and switchbacks down the hill.

This trail is almost on the way I take to go home after work. There are a number of options for all levels of riders. Good place for after work workout.

Great place to Mountain Bike in Roswell and located right off Holcomb Bridge and Old Alabama. This also links with the Greenway Trail that runs through Alpharetta and Roswell. Some of these trails are tough but any rider should be able to navigate them. Remember to used your brakes, you’ll need them.

Big Creek MTB Park has come a long way over the years, and now it’s a great destination for mountain biking enthusiasts in the area. They have a number of various options for all levels of riders — Nicely sloped beginner trails, fun intermediate trails and challenging advanced trails for a tough workout. They also have a free-ride area for mountain biking experts who want to practice their skills. None of the trails are long individually, so you can get in a quick ride after work or commit to an entire afternoon at Big Creek. I’ll see you out there!

Hey Tonya nice review! I would say this is definitely a great little mountain biking track/trail. Even the beginner trail is an adventure and great workout where you can loop a few times and still be close to the starting point when your done. The jumps and all are my favorites and are lots of fun but if your a beginner you should steer clear of the expert spots till you get some experience. Otherwise great little parking area, and very convenient to 400 as well!

I only give the park a 4-star rating because of the short length. what it lacks in length in more than makes up for in fun! this 100% singletrack trail is smack in the middle of Roswell and offers superb amounts of fun for family or expert riders. for experienced riders, try the teeter(this is a spring loaded teeter, come with speed!!!), the log crossing bridge or numerous log piles. If this is your first time mountain biking, take the beginner green loop and have fun! For the experts, follow the black trails. Thanks to all the locals, and RAMBO for building the trails and keeping them fun! –tonya, mtbchick, cycletherapist
