Dr. Ray and his staff are the best of the best. They really care!!! Their exam rooms are awesome, and my cats look forward to going there. Dr. Ray knows what they like and how to handle them. My oldest cat has a chronic condition that they keep in check always with her best interest and quality of life. If you need a Vet for your kitties there is no Place like the Cat Clinic of Roswell, by the way cats only, although I Love dogs, it’s all about the Kitties and their people.

You won’t find stark medicinal waiting rooms, but a lovely home attuned to the needs of felines– always warm and cozy, house cats coming in to visit and say hello! The staff is amazing~ everyone is friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The doctors take the time to pet and hang out with your fur baby for a while, instilling confidence, security and love. Their love of felines shines through and in the end, makes taking your fur baby to the doctor a very pleasant experience. One of the only clinics that have the equipment to take blood pressure, this feature alone should send you running to their office. If you know anything about felines, you know blood pressure is a tremendous factor in good health and longevity, and if you didn’t know that, NO problem, they will sit and explain it to you, I have 3 kitties and each one is treated with respect and loving care. I like that your babies photo is attached to their files. That you receive postcards with your fur babies pictures reminding you of annual exams or upcoming appointments. The clinic offers a variety of care from traditional to holistic and everything in between– I like the fact you have choices. Medications, Rx, food, toys, all on premisses makes it a one stop visit which I find very helpful. If you are looking for experienced, loving, caring –Board certified doctors, this is the place to go. They will work with you if you have pet insurance or special financial needs. It;s not a mill, high volume setting– get them in– get them out and that is priceless!
In ending, like the old tv show «Cheers» Cat Clinic of Roswell is a place you and your pet goes where everyone knows your name and everyone is glad you came– Excellent service in every way. Highly recommend.

We love Cat Clinic of Roswell! We’ve been coming here since we moved to the area in 2012. We have a Sphynx and wanted to make sure we took him to a vet specializing in feline care. (They actually have a Sphynx who lives at the clinic!) The building is located in the heart of historic downtown Roswell. It looks like a charming little cottage and the interior is loaded down with everything cat themed. I always get the feeling that staff genuinely cares about our sweet little man. We’ve taken him in for a multitude of appointments; yearly exams, an emergency visit, and a dental cleaning. He had to stay in the kitty hospital last summer for a few days. We were encouraged to come visit him each day — even when the clinic itself was closed. Dr. Ray was very patient in explaining all of our options and answering every question we had. When we come in for visits Heyward gets a little… well, tense. The staff still treats him with love and care. I especially appreciate that we receive follow-​up calls the next day after each appointment. I think we’re extremely lucky to have such a great place to take our cat!

Although the Cat Clinic charges a lot more than other vets in my area, Dr. Ray and the other docs at CCoR are the only ones we see. They are all so kind, knowledgeable and never rush you out the door. They appear to care about my kitties as much as I do.
I have an asthma patient who, in the beginning, would growl, freak out and try to kill Dr. Ray. After seeing the strides Dr. Ray has made with him– he can examine Clarence without fear for his life now– I would never consider taking him anywhere else. Dr. Ray even made a house call to see him, hoping he would handle that better!
They were also there for me and my 18 year old Emily when it was time for her to go. Everyone was genuinely sad and so comforting. They made sure her last moments were very peaceful and calm.
I’ll keep paying more at the Cat Clinic of Roswell because the doctors and staff are worth every penny!

Atmosphere: excellent — more like bringing your cat to someone’s home than a vet clinic.
Staff — friendly, kind, asked a lot of questions.
Overall– I will never, ever go back. The vet suggested a couple of tests, never alerting me to their cost, and then I was *stunned* when I checked out and was cheerfully told, «That will be $ 364.» One test was nearly $ 200!
I had taken my cat into another vet in another state for similar symptoms in the past and had never been charged more than $ 70. Same diagnosis (kidneys failing), entirely different bill. I felt gouged. I mentioned it to a friend today and she nodded, saying she had heard the same thing.

I really regret giving the cat clinic my business. Although they are know what they are doing and the environment there is nice they gouge you for money and use lame tactics to try and make you return there. When I asked them to transfer a prescription to a new vet they basically refused and when I asked for my cat’s records they told me, «that IF they decide to release them to me (the pet’s sole and only owner)» I would have to pay to get them faxed or even pick them up. And on top of that my elderly cat was feral when I adopted him and any trip to the vet is super traumatic. He is in kidney failure. His condition isn’t changing. This wasn’t a conversation where I could have misunderstood their position. It is many back and forths with numerous people there, over many months and after they check with Dr. Ray, who is the managing vet. Penny at the front desk is really nice though. Otherwise they are pretty mercenary and the wellbeing of the pets seem to be secondary. Overall it has made managing my cat’s health more difficult rather than facilitating it.

I took my injured kitten in and the whole staff was so sweet! They got us in very quickly and took great care of her. Dr. Ray was awesome and spent a good amount of time and didn’t rush anything like most doctors. I wish I could find a vet like this for my dogs!

8÷27÷10: I took my 6 cats to Dr. Ray for over 2 years. I chose him because I wanted a board-​certified feline vet who would not try to push annual vaccines. Dr. Ray is also friendly to raw feeders and will write prescriptions for free.
I had been noticing a lump on my cat Sheba’s hip for awhile. In July, she started to limp, so I scheduled X-​rays. Dr. Ray said the hip problem was an old injury and nothing could be done except to manage arthritis the rest of her life.
Thankfully I sought a second opinion. I took Dr. Ray’s X-​rays to the Animal Medical and Surgical Center in Canton, and Dr. Duprel immediately recognized a tumor. She did surgery the same day to remove it. The tumor is a fibrosarcoma, a very dangerous cancer that if left much longer, would have hit the sciatic nerve and caused Sheba excrutiating pain.
Another problem: Dr. Ray is the only vet I know who doesn’t provide rabies tags. He is in Fulton County, which provides tags to its residents when they mail the rabies certificate. But I live in Gwinnett, which doesn’t provide tags but requires pets to wear them. So my cats weren’t legally protected, although he charges $ 30 for a rabies vaccine and tags cost less than 30 cents.
Dr. Ray’s main talent is draining your wallet. He charges $ 63 for a physical exam, $ 41.50 to take blood pressure, $ 42.50 for a fecal exam, and over $ 216 for blood and urine tests. I paid $ 589 for a dental with just one extraction.
Dr. Ray’s expertise is not worth the price.
UPDATE 4÷27÷12: After 2 surgeries by Dr. Duprel and 22 radiation therapy and 4 chemo treatments at Georgia Veterinary Specialists, Sheba is finally losing her fight. I expect to have to let her go in the next few days. If she had died of cancer without me being able to try to fight it because some quack vet can’t tell a tumor from «an old injury,» I couldn’t live with myself. I’m so grateful to Dr. Duprel for diagnosing Sheba accurately so I could get life-​extending — if not life-​saving — treatment.

The current owner has been there for a couple of years now. Everyone there is very cat oriented and are great to deal with. Our cats have never been in better hands. When on vacation we drop the cats off and get them groomed and their teeth cleaned. The preventive care is excellent.

Dr. Michael Ray, the veterinarian, is wonderful, as are the techs — Jason, Ashley, Richard and of course, Penny, the kindhearted receptionist. They all really seem to care about your babies and want to do whatever they can to make them well again. While a little on the pricey side, we have never come across a better group of people for helping to comfort us as well as our kitty, while giving us the most up to date treatment for our older cat. They have even come in on a holiday to give us medication. These are really great people. The clinic is in an old house and each room is comfortable, homey and not really like a «clinic» at all. Our overall experience with The Cat Clinic of Roswell has been excellent and we plan to continue taking our babies to them for years to come.
