While food is good, they often«run out way before closing» SERVICE is absolutely the rudest ever. from order takers, to answering questions of difference in plates etc. Pricey for plastic forks and picnic tables .skip the coleslaw, green beans were mushy.

It was ok to good. I liked the sides. I had baked beans and potato salad. The thing i did not care for was the membrane being on my baby back ribs. The ribs were tender and flavorful but slightly oversalted for my taste. Service was good and i am glad the kitchen manager chef spoke with me about my membrane concern and leaving it on is SOP, but to me it is an inedible piece of rubber i do not want to deal with. I will be back but no ribs for me!

I really like this BBQ restaurant. Our family favorite is the baby back ribs, baked beans and the macaroni and cheese. It’s very close to our home but watch out they sell out of items! The brisket is fine but not what we typically go there to get. We like to mix the sauces together to get a unique flavor. The staff were always friendly.

This is a bbq place in Buckhead/Sandy Springs area. We tried ribs, pulled pork, brisket(pulled) and smoked wings. I’ve never had pulled brisket; the server said they were sold out of «regular» brisket. The sides were mac & cheese, green beans(special of the day) and coleslaw. For the meats, we agreed the wings were the only hit on the platter. Sadly the ribs were overdone and chewy and the brisket wasn’t flavorful. I was even sad the pulled pork was a-okay. The coleslaw was our favorite of the sides because the cabbage was fresh and crisp and the dressing didn’t weigh the entire side down. We decided on mac & cheese because the server let us try it before ordering, points for nice service. Although the flavors were all there, it didn’t blow us away.(I am realizing, I am a bigger fan of mac & cheese casserole over blue boxed type stuff.) Sadly the green beans were limp and underseasoned. The beer selection on the menu is all bottles and limited. 2.5 stars for very friendly service and the smoked wings. Have to keep trying new bbq joints…

We’ve been to both this location and their location in Krog street. When we came here I was hoping to pick up some bbq and bring it home because the little ones were having a rough day. It took forever! So long that we just decided to eat there. That being said, once we decided to eat there service was great and seating was adequate for a BBQ place. The food itself was pretty standard. I would say the sides are better than Williamson Bros but the meat is comparable. Price wise this place is about the same as most bbq places you go to. Would have been 4 stars but I am still annoyed we waited so long for take out and got no warning or apologies for it.

I have had St Louis meaty ribs all over the country and snub my nose a little when I hear of baby backs but Lordy Lordy if are the ribs at Grand Champions aren’t the meatiest fat melted ribs on the planet. Rivals County Boys, Oklahoma Joe’s and the Schacht at SEATAC. Amazing smoke, remarkable product with fabulous sides. Can’t wait to make another business trip to Atlanta to enjoy some of the tastiest BBQ in NA. One of the 10 places to eat before you die along with Oklahoma Joe’s, Country Boys and the Schacht.

My favorite BBQ pork and Brunswick stew! We have a toddler and will frequently pick this up after work for a quick and delicious dinner.

My absolute favorite«go to» place for a barbecue! I have yet to have a bad experience. Beef brisket is my favorite. Mac & cheese is to die for! And I love that they support the local high schools in the community. The fact that they cater as well is just the icing on top!

Yet another stop in my BBQ quest. Yet another substandard stop. Other reviewers have recommended the brisket. I disagree. It was dry, flavorless and the bark was nearly tasteless. Likewise, my wife’s chicken was dry and tasted identical to any Sundaty roast chicken created by a tyro cook. The potato sald was unremarkable. it tatsed identical to the offering at Publix. Finally, iced tea prices were out of whack here, as I’ve complained about at other locations. Canned soda — one dollar. Iced tea? $ 1.75. Still searching for someplace to rival Kennesaw’s Big Shanty Smokehouse. A long and probably unsuccessful quest,

How can a HIGHER meat-to-bone ratio be a negative? And less fat should be better, right? So I won’t ding them, but it’s definitely a style difference that didn’t win me over. So for potential patrons, the abundance of lean yet tender pork had plenty of smoky flavor. But the subtle lack of caramelized fat and that missing hint that comes from additional bone marrow left me wanting. I also don’t seem to agree with my coworkers and other reviewers who raved about the mac-n-cheese which I found too soupy and the gigantic rigatoni noodles cumbersome. The slaw was closer to the desired style, although I didn’t finish it either. My wife seemed happier with her pulled pork sandwich and side of baked beans. The beef brisket was definitely the best of all the dishes and this would be my go-to place for that dish. The comfortable and moderately sized interior was pleasant and matched the friendliness of the staff. Although it has many good points to recommend it, BBQ has many highly individualized styles and it didn’t wow my particular palette and I wouldn’t seek it out when dining solo. But I can tell from the quality that it’s still worthy of recommendation and I would accompany friends for a revisit or if I was in the mood for BBQ in a non-Rib incarnation.

I went here once because I love good cue, and I am a bit of a snob, okay I am really big cue snob. The first time I went was FANTASTIC!!! Almost perfect BBQ. Then I went back today. Um. .. okay, what the hell is this is what I thought. What happened to this place? I walked in expecting some great BBQ. I have had great ribs here before. Instead, they were dry, and void of flavor. I always eat the first rib without sauce to get a taste of the naked BBQ. Bright red and dry was what I saw, very little smoke flavor, and a lot of char. The only flavor came from the tangy BBQ sauce. The ribs were so dry I had to work to eat them. This was not«award winning» BBQ. Don’t know what happened here, because I have had so much better from here. But I’m not going to plunk down $ 20 again on a dice roll, when walking in here I thought it was a sure thing.

Had to work from home today since my son was sick so I decided to order in. I used a delivery service called Choices to You(fabulous service by the way) to bring me what I thought and hoped would be great bbq. I had done my research and skimmed quite a few reviews before making my choice. The thing that sold me was the«fall off the bone» ribs. That is the SOLE reason why I ordered from this place with the hype around the mac n cheese and banana pudding being pluses as well. The ribs were NOT fall of the bone. They were tough. I had to work hard to get any of the meat. The macaroni was as described… macaroni and butter… not sure there was even cheese. Terrible. Even my toddler wouldn’t eat it and he loves mac n cheese in any form. The potato salad was meh. The banana pudding was… let’s not even go there. Barely flavorful. All in all, it wasn’t great and just barely good. I am extremely disappointed and will not be ordering from them again.

Because of the name of the place, I was expecting more, but this was pretty good bbq at a good price. The sign on the door says that they stay open until a certain time or «until the meat runs out». I thought that was funny. :-) I got the brisket and added on a couple of ribs for a couple of dollars, and hubby got the full rack of ribs. My brisket beat his ribs — it was good! Nicely seasoned, but I didn’t taste a real rub. The ribs were just pretty good. I wouldn’t call them«grand champion» ribs. I guess being from Texas, I am pretty discriminating when it comes to the taste of BBQ. The sides(beans and potato salad) were okay too. What impacted me most was the homemade banana pudding! One order for 1.25! As soon as I ate it, I told my hubby that I was going to go get 4 more to take home because it was SOOO good! Overall, I would go back, but only if I was in the area, and I would definitely grab a few of those banana puddings — or the family size pudding — to go!

Legit BBQ. Baby back ribs, pulled pork, redneck lasagna and baked beans. Ribs. Big meaty baby backs. Complex rub is absolutely delicious. Slightly sweet, salty and smokey. Perfectly tender with just a little bite. Pork. Great bark, tender and tasty. Moist but not exactly juicy. Not a complaint just nitpicking. Redneck lasagna. Awesomeness! Creamy mac and cheese capped with brunswick stew. Nuff said. Beans… At first bite they seem rather ordinary but as you keep eating you get hints of extra smoke from the pork within and notes of clove and coriander. Really quite good. Two sauces available. One vinegar based and one sweeter molasses based. Both very assertive and delicious. Great stuff. Check it out!

We had chopped beef sandwiches along with a chicken sandwich. This is as good as any BBQ I’ve had in Atlanta. Staff was very friendly. Mac and cheese will kill you but it is so good. Will recommend…

Absolutely amazing pork and mac & cheese. Definitely among the best in Atlanta! Cole slaw was nothing special. But everything else was so good. I’ll over look bad coleslaw.

Craving BBQ, so we drove up here after having sampled their Mac & Cheese at their Krog Street Market location earlier in the week. I got the brisket platter for $ 12.99 with 2 sides. I wanted the«premium» sides, so they were an extra .75 cents. Premium sides, include the mac & cheese and Brunswick stew. Both are good. Hubby got the smoked chicken with baked beans and stew. We were happy with our order, it was a little pricey for lunch… but filing. We would come back, I want to try the ribs and pulled pork.

Glad I stopped by this place. Located in a strip mall so I almost passed it up. Lunch special of brisket sandwich Mac/cheese and tea. 9.10 cents. The meat was so tender and just the right amount of smoke. Loved their version of Mac/cheese. Just wanted a bigger portion for that price. Guys and lady behind the corner were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back for mo!

This is good barbecue! Period. I have lived here in the ATL for a while and I haven’t found very good barbecue. Until this place. Their ribs which are typically excellent. Not mushy and with some chew. The pulled pork is smoky and tender — not mushy. The brisket — good — not great, but good. The chicken is good and the smoked sausage is okay. Now their sides are pretty tasty. We’ve had the mac-n-cheese, the collards, the coleslaw — delicious! The green bean? Eh. Now one of the most excellent things about this place is that they deliver! Give them a taste.
