Let me begin by saying that I’m not really a big hookah person. I went with some family for my cousin’s birthday get-together. This place is your typical trendy, semi-authentic looking hookah lounge. There were some Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean influences in the décor like the cushions and floor seating. The music is loud and trendy. When I came in on Saturday evening around 10pm, the DJ was playing techno-pop/dance club music but she does takes request. As the night progresses, the crowd gets a little more diverse and the energy picks up a little bit. As the requests come in to the DJ, the music gets a bit more what I would call… let’s say, pop-ratchet. All in all, this place is okay if you like hookah. The hookah selection is pretty large and the prices are very reasonable. They have a full bar so the have all of your standards plus a few house specialty drinks. Check ‘em out if you’re deep in Roswell-proper on a Saturday night and want a nice hookah experience with a little LESS of the non-authentic, upscale hookah spot feel with the valet parking and up-charges on everything for no reason other than catering to the consumer with money to burn.

Okay hookah spot. The service is awesome and the music is good! Biggest turnoff is their«2 people per hookah» policy…

I’m new to Atlanta and so I’ve been looking for a really good Hookah Bar/Lounge to frequent. I probably go 2 – 4 times a month and even more when I’m in the middle of my busy season to try and decompress. I often go alone, because again it’s my getaway. I don’t know if it was because I was alone that I was ignored by the waitress or not, but it seemed so! I always order the same type of Hookah so I was ready as soon as she sat me. It took her 30 – 40 minutes for her to get back with the hookah and I typically order a pot of tea as well. Well I should have ordered them together at the same time because the tea came out 45 mins after my hookah. She seemed very overwhelmed and not very apologetic at all. I’m pretty low maintenance most hookah bars I go to the waiter just simply looks over ever so often and I give them a thumbs up or I waive them over. That to me is all I need for great service. This girl wouldn’t even make eye contact and when she had to come near my table she would apologize for the wait and dart off before I could say anything. Had she stayed long enough I would have told her don’t worry about it and I would have left and tried again on another night and waited till then to pass judgement, but that was not the case. Hookah was ehh, but I really enjoy hookah so I may be a bit of a snob. Service was non-existent. Venue is pretty dope! Atmosphere was amazing! It had a really good vibe, people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I enjoyed watching them have a good time. Mixed crowd(Young, Old, Black, White, etc) is always nice to see. Bill was like 24 – 28 dollars, I left her the change from $ 50 for a tip in hopes that if I ever go back she’ll remember me, and give me better service. We shall see! Oh and they sat a party of 5 at my table since I was by myself and asked me if it was okay with it afterwards. Actually saved the night a little bit because at least I had the opportunity to make new friends as I waited forever for service. Will try again if I’m in the area, but won’t go out of my way.

We went for drinks after dinner — had expected that there would be more people on a Saturday night, but it was a great vibe either way. Our waitress was awesome; made sure to check in regularly and gave us the most AMAZING recommendation for hookah flavor! Ask for a recommendation, they make the best combos! Drinks are pretty expensive(comparable to a downtown bar — $ 5+ beers and $ 10+ mixed drinks) but it was an awesome vibe and we had a great time! Would totally go back for a fun night out with friends! So glad there’s something like this in Alpharetta!

Of course if it was possible I would give this place zero stars. I don’t even know how it has as many stars as it does??? Went with a group of friends and had the worst experience ever!!! The waitress was great, felt bad for her because it was her first day and was experiencing everything with us in a way. All these comments below about hookah being the best in Atlanta… then you really don’t know what good hookah is! We have about 5 hookahs at our table and none of them were smoking right, was very harsh and burned out really fast! I had to get my hookah changed 3 times and still no good so I gave up and didn’t smoke anymore. Then it came to the kitchen being open so we can order food. yay food who would be excited to have some kabobs… waitress came by and was like you can only have these few items from the menu literally only five items to choose from and they were appetizer portions. Like a ‘deluxe pizza’ was just mozzarella cheese on a pita bread. I would not recommend going to this place at all! I would never go again! And it’s behind the gas station and limited parking the guy from the shell gas station came by and were telling the employees to get customers to move their cars. Just don’t even give this place a try. Trust me I was excited when I read all the positive reviews but I was let down completely.

We walked in around 1:30 and this place was booming! We waited 5 minutes for a hookah table and it was worth it. We asked the server what his favorite flavor was and he hooked us up.(Something 69 for whenever you come in). The dance floor is packed. Music is fantastic. And the atmosphere rocks. I will definitely be coming here more often.

First time here(took a date out), was a Wednesday. Relatively quiet. Service was incredible, owner took care of us & was extremely attentive. Hookahs were incredible. Very smooth vibe & decour. Full bar. We bought a bottle of Malbec($ 25 — good price)… Didn’t eat. I frequent hookah bars often, had a great experience here. Will undoubtedly be back.

One of the most beautiful hookah lounges in Atlanta! Truly a hidden gem in Roswell and the place I go for hookah and drinks. Even the food is amazing! When a friend ask me about a hookah lounge I always tell them Moon Lounge. Nick, the owner, and the staff go out of their way to provide great hospitality with an incredible ambiance. Make sure you give them a try, you won’t regret it!

WE went there during an event, a guest singer visited and I was just invited. I barely found the place I did not think this will be sharing with the gas station, of course parking ISEXTREMELYLIMITED. I had to park across the street at WELLSFARGO and pay $ 3, crossed the street with my party outfit. Service is EXTREMELYSLOW. I get it, there’s a lot of people and there was an event, but cmon! you knew that was coming!!! Why just hire 3 servers??? I wanted to order a beef kabob and they said they ran out of BEEF? So i switched with Chicken and it took 1.5HRS, got me my meal w/no water? I had to ask again… NEVERCAME. I guess I can just choke then… Good thing I had my watered down liquor to drink after eating. Not VERY organized and NOTCAPABLE of handling an event. Maybe, if it was just a regular day, it wouldn’t be as BAD.

I recently took a group of friends to Moon on recommendation of a good friend. When we walked in the atmosphere was great and the building itself was beautiful, however the service was subpar at best. We walked in with a fairly large group on a Thursday night so it seems appropriate to partially forgive the fact that there was only one person working, however the guy who was working seemed relatively incapable when it came to hookah. Five people in the group work at hookah lounges and as such offered to help him out with the workload, which was no big deal, however the hookahs that were not prepared by our group were entirely unsmokable. The 2 hookahs out of 6 that were done by the staff took almost an hour and when they did come out, did not pull smoke at all. When this was brought to the staffs attention the remedy was to replace the coals and say that everything was fine(which did not remedy the issue). For 20 $ a hookah, at a business that promotes itself as a hookah lounge, this service seemed extremely underwhelming. Granted the food was exceptional and on that note alone this review would be very different. For a business that promotes itself as a hookah lounge however, I can’t help but give Moon subpar review.

Amazing place. The atmosphere there is very relaxing. The inside is impecable. The seating is not to be topped by anywhere i have been. The establishment has made it a very intament area but still allowing to socialize. The location is kinda tricky to pin point from gos but once getting there it kinda sticks in the mind. Nick was so hospitable both times going there. We decided to go try it out and he was going to close for weather reasons but opened up for us to smoke. Very sweet even when it started to pick up he was still very attentive. Great price for hookah and food. They automatically put ice in the base which not many place I have been before do. They also have fruit bowls which I have never tried before. The staff have been amazing both times I have been. Satuday nights they have a belly dancer which was a nice surprise. She was amazing very sweet. Definitely a place I will continue to go to when in the Roswell area.

As not only a hookah fanatic, but a hookah bar explorer — we try to go to a hookah bar in every city we go to! Must say, this place is one of the best when it comes to hookah and the atmosphere. Came with a local friend who is a regular and we got the«house mix» flavor. Nick, the owner, is amazing at shisha taste buds as he really takes the time and has made a variety of house mixes. The flavor, quality, and service of Moon Lounge will make you want to come back. I’m from North Carolina and can’t wait to come back and try another house mix! When you visit, you’ve got to try one of their house mix hookahs, the eggplant appetizer and Rakhi — a Turkish drink! You’ll fall in love.

I have to agree with the reviewer below. This place is an absolute gem tucked away unnoticeably behind a gas station and next to a liquor store. The sign is not quite so obvious so drive past and you may miss it without a second glance. But if you are a hookah lover like I am, you seriously have missed out. Once you walk in, you are greeted with nice music, a beautifully decorated lounge, with scene painted walls, floor to ceiling decorations, waterfall accents, and even live entertainment on the weekends. The owner, Nick, if you have a chance to meet him, is really the nicest guy ever. He clearly took his time in all the selections he chose for this place. Now on to the hookah — immediately go for one of his many house mixes, and you will not be disappointed. Great flavor, amazing smoke clouds and a nice buzz, give you everything you are looking for. Also, a great drink selection with specialty house Martinis you will love. His teas are also excellent. Lastly, the food, takes some time to get to the table, but when it does you are glad you waited, great beef kofta kabobs and other selections. We will definitely be back!

AMAZING! First of all this place should not be rated at 3 dollar signs($$$). The prices for food and hookah are very reasonable! The owner Nick greeted us as we entered along with a very friendly waitress. My husband and I love to smoke hookah and have tried other spots in the area and this is hands down the best. The hookah smokes very well and the flavors are awesome. The food is absolutely delicious and the owner cooked it himself. We tried the beef kabob with rice, naan with tzatziki and grape leaves. Everything was fresh and full of authentic flavors. They opened recently and currently do not have a liquor license to sell alcohol but will get one in a few weeks. The ambience is so peaceful and you can tell that Nick put his heart into the décor. There is even a fountain inside! The music is great and there is a nice size dance floor. We cannot wait to come again to enjoy some great hookah, food, tea, ambience and music!

The previous reviewer(obviously an employee or friend of management because it’s their only review and account created 3⁄2014) must have been confused about where they were because this was definitely not the case with my experience at Moon hookah lounge. First of all, the location is very easy to miss. It’s in the same shopping center as the Shell gas station by downtown Roswell and there is no neon sign so verrrrry easy to miss at night. Parking is limited, but not their fault. My initial assessment was that these guys are not ready to be open yet — the décor and atmosphere is phenomenal, the hookah is quality, but that’s about it. Their website is significantly different from the actual experience. For starters, their menu boasts a wide selection of appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks, etc. — they don’t have any of that stuff«yet». Their kitchen is «under construction». Okay, and you’ve been open for three weeks now? You opened without a functional kitchen and advertise all these food options but don’t actually have them yet? Oh boy… The motif and music is Persian/Iranian, as are the owners/managers. Don’t let the Moroccan menu items fool you. For me this is great: I can expect things(hopefully more of and continued in the future) like Persian hospitality, Persian tea, Persian music and dancing, etc. This place has such potential to be a hopping night spot… but it just isn’t ready to be that yet. From my experience my friend and I walked in, the staff were just hanging out behind the counter doing their thing paying us no attention. One guy came up to us and said please sit anywhere be there in a second. We chose a booth and waited. The place was extremely clean and I loved the atmosphere can’t stress that enough. He told us they have nothing but appetizers and brought us a hookah menu. Immediately I noticed the significant price difference and flavor selection from what was posted online. This is EXTREMELY disappointing!!! Seriously that’s what brought me through the door. I was almost ready to leave but decided to give it a shot We ordered some tea and a cherry mint al fakher hookah. Thank God their hookahs are Khalil mamoon and quality. They packed it well with ice and everything but the shisha was way too minty The tea came out in traditional Asian clay pot with Asian smaller tea cups that was actually quite refreshing and was accompanied with saffron sugar cubes which was an unexpected bonus. The hookah was great except for the excessive mint. That’s about it — the place was pretty empty and it was a Monday night. Some people at the bar, only 2 other tables full, both of which seemed to be friends of employees/management so basically we looked to be the only paying customers The poor waiter was the only guy on staff and was running doing literally everything. The guy who even packed our hookah made one for himself and took it to his buddy’s table and sat down. We had to go looking for someone to get us new coals. The music was pretty good, while it was playing. They were playing some mixes on an Apple TV via a projector and good sound system and it was great, but there would be breaks in the music when the mixes ended and nobody would tend to it Clearly the owners were hoping for a much bigger reception and more business, but they simply aren’t up to snuff to cater to the larger crowd. My friends had gone over the weekend and had actually made dinner reservations for a considerable sized group and were shocked when they arrived the manager told them they were short 2 waitresses and a chef! On a Saturday night! Within one month of being open. Not a good start… I really want to like this place and I certainly hope they make some big logistical changes fast. They have the best hookah I’ve had in any lounge in and outside the perimeter, but that’s their only saving grace(and the décor/atmosphere). If they can regulate service, fix their menu, coordinate their website, and get a neon sign they’ll really start attracting the customer base they’re looking for. TL;DR: hookah was excellent quality Khalil mamoon and music/atmosphere great but everything else lacking. These guys needed more time to prep before opening. Hope they fix things. Would love to give them another chance
