Well done! Tony is the man… kept us rolling the entire time. #goodstuff 9.3 Must try the sushi next time.

This is the best Asian delivery in the area by far. They left out the calamari on the last order, which took way to long, but they usually get it right. The food is fresh, the sushi is the best in the area, the fried items aren’t greasy and the staff is friendly. Good stuff!

Great sushi bar! They are very reasonably priced and the sushi is wonderful as is the service. Never did their hibachi and likely never will as to me it is a waste to money and really the only ones who enjoy are the kids… Definitely will go back as it is 1 mile from the home.

After having dined here a couple of times over the years and been pretty satisfied with the dining experience, we tried ordering delivery — delivery through Unilocal,no less. This ended up being a pretty nice experience as well. While the actual delivery was took a bit longer than expected, the food was hot and prepared very well. This place is no Benihana, but it excels over most other hibachi style restaurants. And now that they offer delivery, I give two thumbs up!

I went here for dinner the other day. The staff, while not Japanese, was friendly and greeted me right away. I was told the head chef was Japanese so I thought I would try and order something not on the menu, a favorite of mine from my days in Japan. They did in fact allow me to order something not on the menu. I got a type of Shoyu based ramen with all the extras. It was not the best I have ever had in my life but it was pretty good. I also had a side order of Gyoza but I did not really care for the style of Gyoza that had there(boiled with too much garlic). Overall it was good and I would definatly go there again

I have followed just one Chef in my region, Yama-san, as he worked at, or managed Japanese restaurants at different locations in the North Metro Area of Atlanta during the past 12 years. My first visit to this Japanese restaurant, managed by Yama-san since late 2014, was fun and enjoyable. Yama-san prepared omakase dishes and appetizers for me. He knows I love Ankimo(cooked monkfish liver) as a cold appetizer while I sip cold sake, or soju on the rocks(always with a generous garnish of julienned cucumber). A new omakase appetizer for me was Wasabe Tako. It was a tender al dente sashimi of young octopus tentacles with a mild wasabe sauce and garnished with shiso leaves. I always like eating somewhat minty shiso leaves with certain sashimi fish; they perfectly complemented the Wasabe Tako. Another favorite appetizer with my drinks is Geso Karaage(deep fried cuttlefish tentacles) with Sriracha chili sauce. This time Yama-san added Tako Karaage to the dish, an equally delicious food to nosh on while drinking. Well, friends gave me a gift of a soju from Okinawa, so I had plenty to drink and I just needed an appetizer of mixed shrimp and vegetable tempura to make my meal for the night.

It’s a real shame that the Unilocal page of this restaurant wasn’t changed when the management switched hands, because this place is fantastic! My family and I had regular table service so I can’t comment on the hibachi, but the menu items were outstanding. The sushi chef and cooks are Japanese, which you can immediately tell by the authenticity of the food! Our table ordered Hiyashi Chuka(cold ramen), grilled salmon and tempura bento box(which is $only 9 during lunch!), Okinawan soba, and also a special roll of which I forgot the name. The Hiyashi Chuka was great and just what I needed in Georgia’s hot weather. The vegetables and shrimp were fresh, and the egg was just sweet enough! I tried a bit of my mom’s bento box, and I can say without a doubt that it was the best salmon I have ever had. It wasn’t dry, or smell fishy at all, but was full of flavor. Also, the tempura that came with it was so light and crispy, I wish I’d gotten a plate of my own. I was so surprised that the bento was only $ 9, since the Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in the past charge upwards to $ 20. The Okinawan soba completely exceeded my expectations: the broth was flavorful and tasted homemade, they didn’t skimp on the protein, and the noodles were just right. Lastly, the sushi chef is definitely doing something right by how good the special roll was, it was meticulously constructed with the freshest ingredients, and looked too perfect to eat. Also, a side note, you can clearly tell if a restaurant serves authentic food if there are patrons of that culture, and there were many Japanese customers there. The traditional interior is very cute and well kept, which made this meal all the better. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of this place, and so was my party. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely come here.

Went to Sake for the first time today at the recommendations of some of my parents’ friends. What you should take from that is if a bunch of old Asian folks like this place, then the food not only is authentic but good. My understanding is that the restaurant is under new ownership for the past few months. We did not have Hibachi, choosing instead to have table service. They have a pretty good kids menu with about 8 entrée choices. We ordered a tempura shrimp and NY steak dinner for our boys. My wife had the chicken katsu which she loved. I had the pork rice dish(can’t remember the name) which was also good and had an authentic Japanese taste to it. We also ordered the tuna tartare(fabulous), the Mexican roll(surprisingly good), the Dragon roll(delicious), and the Love Love roll(not bad). All of their sushi is fresh. Will definitely be returning.

Food was good… Service was not worth talking about. Fries rice should come out with the meal. Not 10 mins after… It’s rice for God sake!!!

Went here with a group of 15 on New Year’s Eve. The set up a rear room for us. Could not have had better service or food! The whole staff was very accommodating. Prices VERY reasonable! This is our go to Teppan Yaki place!

The place is sure going down a lot. It seems like the management has changed again as all the good old staffs left. The new staffs seem to not understand what to do with the place. They don’t care much with customers like previous staffs do and they are really slow. When i looked for my server, they were playing around and some are sitting playing phones. They run business like kindergarten. They run all the discounts, but the service and quality are going down. Everybody worked there looked so stressed and gave no smile. The sushi is really slow even though the chef as mentioned from previous review is Japanese. Well, not all Japanese is good at making sushi I guess like not all Italian knows how to make spaghetti or Pizza. The sushi is messy and not tight. The place is dirty as there was no one cleaning the tables. I saw some tables left dirty for at least 30 – 45 minutes. Its sad to see the good old place turned to be like this. We felt like home with previous management, now the new management turn it to Hell! Definitely won’t come back.

They just started opening for lunch so we went in to give it a try today. Apparently this place is under new management and according to the owner they just hired the old sushi chef from umizono, one of the oldest and best sushi restaurant in metro Atlanta. We ordered the katsu-curry, tempura udon, and some sushi, and the food certainly didn’t disappoint. Server was friendly and owner came by to chat and to get our opinion. Supposedly they’re also planning a «soup kitchen» event to feed the needy on thanksgiving day, right in the restaurant, as a way to contribute to the community. Anyway, since lunch is new it looks like they may have a little fine tuning to do before everything can become seamless, but we will definitely be back!

Hibachi is such a special treat for our family. And everyone always eats and enjoys their food. It’s not a good sign when the kids are critiquing the flavors, meat quality, and cooking technique. According to my jr. Foodie after we left the restaurant of course–«there was no soy sauce in the fried rice, her steak was fatty, and lobster was „hard“.» The cooking presentation appeared to be a struggle and our chef seemed to want to disappear. There was something wrong with the air conditioning(although we were told it was off) and my fingers are still frozen 15 minutes after leaving. The usual hibachi potions seemed skimpy and we have no leftovers.

I agree with other reviews, food is pretty good; veggies are left cooking to the end, I would have preferred them with the meal too. I volunteer for a local non-profit and asked about getting a donation from SAKE for a fundraiser, and was told without missing a beat, NO, the manager doesn’t do any of that. When I looked around and saw a sweet 16 party, young families, and groups there, I thought it is a shame that a business that is supported by the local community doesn’t respond better to community requests for support. Very disappointing.

I don’t go to hibachi places very often anymore, but after a couple of long days on a job site the guys wanted to eat some place nice for dinner. They decided we(without asking me.) would be going to Sake since it was near the site and APPARENTLY we all like Hibachi. Well it’s a good thing I do like Hibachi, I didn’t complain. So, this is your typical hibachi«Japanese steakhouse.» You’ve got your gas grill, your onion volcano, your shrimp catching(my co-workers tried but failed to catch the shrimp. I decided to save myself the embarrassment and pass on it. I can’t say I failed if I didn’t try right!?) You’ve got the chef that’s talented with the spatula, that’s all great. So here’s a simple breakdown: Food: A+ Good stuff! The filet was cooked exactly how I asked and was very tender. The rice was delicious, the soup burning hot and tasty, the salad ice cold and crispy. Environment: As to be expected. Nothing that made me go «WOW! WHATANAMAZINGHIBACHIRESTAURANT!!» Service: Bottomless sweet tea anyone? Excellent service! Friendly interactive chef that took a few jokes, dished out a few of his own, and didn’t push us if we didn’t want to participate in the events. Prompt seating, friendly waitress that actually came back a few times!(If you go to hibachi a lot, you know this can often be a problem. Not here!) Why 4 stars instead of 5: Well I’ll tell you 2 reasons, and they are very minor let me tell you, but they are things I would have liked to see changed to make this a 5⁄5 Unilocal review. 1. No grill scraper. The chef had to scrap the griddle with his spatula! unsanitary, and he had a hard time getting, say, the stuck on mess from the fried rice off the grill before he added the chicken. He did clean the spatula after he did this, but it concerned me. 2. The order in which the food was served. Normally, at these places I get soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, vegetables, rice, meat. Here, I got soup, salad, rice, shrimp, meat, vegetables. I like to eat my veggies with my rice and I had to either wait for my rice to become cold, or go without and eat them later. I chose not to eat them. If you’re in the area and you want hibachi, and you’re not sure if this is «one of those good hibachi places» or not, stop in. You won’t be disappointed. If you’re looking to be blown away with an amazing experience though. well. this place won’t quite measure up for you.

The past three times I’ve been here, I get extremely sick afterwards. After my last experience, I will never go there again. It’s a shame because my family and I used to always go there for my birthday dinner, and now I cannot stomach the thought of going back for fear of getting sick again. I order the same thing every time: Chicken. I am not sure if they are keeping food way after it’s expiration date, or what. But I am not taking my chances. There are much better places around that have food that WON’T make you sick all night.
