Salon Arcaro

This place was such a great find and was able to fit me in for a last-​minute appt. Thanks to other Unilocal reviews, I chose this salon due to its high ratings and am happy to report that it turned out to be a great experience. My stylist Vivian was so good and made my hair beautiful.

I have been to Salon Arcaro twice, and I have rarely been so pleased with my hair! For years, the ONLY place I would go to have my hair done was a very upscale, pricey salon in the area, whose name I will not mention (but it sounds a bit like «Man Vichael»). I found I was receiving the same look over and over again, no matter what I asked for. They would give me watered-​down versions of what I asked, they would give me the «we’ll try it next time» excuse, and I would get herded out the door so the next butt could land in my seat and more revenue could be made. I felt like cattle, and I was paying way too much to leave unhappy. A nearly $ 300 bad color job was the final nail in the coffin for me. So I went on a search for a new place, and Salon Arcaro came up with good reviews. I decided to give them a try.
I saw Amy for my first visit, and she managed to salvage the ugly, ashy, slightly green-​tinted color abomination I mentioned above, and added in some warmth, did the ombré on my ends I’d been asking for repeatedly (and never got), and really took the time to do what I asked. I was very happy with how she salvaged the mess I brought in. When I decided it was time for a big change, I again looked to Amy. Yesterday I went in for cut and color, and I could not be more pleased!
I was going for a new, much shorter ‘do, and I wanted a darker color than the light reddish brown I currently had. I also wanted some red and violet hues/​highlights, and I got exactly that. The brown she gave me is perfect — dark without being too gothic or making me look pale as snow. The reds and plums are understated but lovely. And the cut! It’s fantastic! It’s cool, modern, fun, and I cannot stop playing with it and flipping it around! Amy was very aware of how to cut for my face shape, how to flatter my features, and she really did a bang-​up job! Cut and color both cost me about $ 50 less than the color alone had cost at the other salon — and this time I left HAPPY instead of frustrated to the point of tears! What a concept!
Amy took the time to listen during my consult, and I showed her pictures of what I was going for, even showed her what I DIDN’T want, and she found it all very helpful and took it all in. She was pleased I could voice what I wanted because it helped her formulate a plan to get me there. She did an incredible job! My past experiences had made me think I didn’t know how to communicate my ideas, but clearly I was not the problem! Amy got it on the first try. So refreshing to get what you want AND pay a reasonable price. I haven’t been this happy with my hair in YEARS! Go see them! They know their stuff.

Never in my life have I ever completely trusted someone so much with my hair! I can walk in, sit down in the chair and tell Adam to make me pretty and I am constantly astonished every sing time! He is an artist! The staff is always friendly and it’s refreshing to see such accomplished professionals like Adam and Christian taking the time to train their employees so thoroughly. They really explain everything in such detail and you get to see what all goes into creating the perfect salon experience for the customers. They really make sure that the customer is comfortable in all aspects from offering a fresh beverage upon arrival to making sure not to spray you or ruin your makeup when washing your hair. I never leave without a smile on my face. Love love love this place:)

Adam and his team did a wonderful job cutting and coloring my hair. Well worth the drive from Blue Ridge.

I went to Salon Arcaro on the recommendation of a friend of Janine. I had a really bad haircut two days prior, and needed urgent help before my girl’s night out. I got lucky and scored an appointment with Adam, who told me he usually books up about two weeks in advance.
While I was getting my hair washed, the girl told me he was the short-​hair master, which was great, because I had gone from hair way past my shoulders to a very short bob. Adam offered me a glass of wine to calm my frazzled nerves (I was really stressed by the hack-​job I had suffered) and got to work.
He told me all about his history in the business and his family, and was so pleasant and funny. He gave me some tips for taming the cowlick at the nape of my neck, which I never knew about. The short cut turned out exactly what I had hoped for when I got my first one, and makes me feel as if I look like an adult, and not an awkward teenager.
I’ll definitely be back to see Adam, and I’ll probably bring my husband along as well! Thanks Adam!

This place is modern enough while still allowing you to feel nice and cozy. That could also be attributed to the kind and attentive staff. I’ve had my hair cut and colored there twice and couldn’t be happier. It’s always nerve wracking going to a new salon, but leave those nerves at the door. These guys and gals know exactly what they’re doing!

Christian and Adam have been cutting my hair for a long time. Their new salon looks great and they do awesome work for a reasonable rate.

Was recommended by a friend for a consult with Adam. Could not be happier with Adam’s talent and the way he really strives to please his clients high standards. I consider myself to be extremely particular with my hair-​Adam delivers and aims to please every single time. The staff is nice and very accommodating too. I love the extended hours as well. I drive over an hour to see Adam and would go as far as taking a flight if I had to. ⁵⁄₅ no doubt!

I have been coming to this salon for about 6 months now, and couldn’t be happier.

I usually come for a trim and color/​highlights.
It is clean, professional, and chic and I love the employees! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They’ll get done exactly what you want done, every time.

Christian Markovich has finally opened his own salon and the service and space are amazing. The staff is wonderful and Christian and Adam provide amazing style, color and quality in this gorgeous new location. I drive all the way from Buckhead to get my hair done here! Highly recommend it!
