Elodie Farms

My husband and I have been attending «Dinner on the Porch» at Elodie Farms for the last few years. It is a truly unique and wonderful experience. The chefs really bring their culinary expertise and vast food experiences to the dinners. It is always a fabulous dinner. If you have not tried «Dinner on the Porch» you have missed a true food experience and a wonderful evening.

Don’t let another season go by without trying «dinner on the porch» at Elodie Farms. Ambiance is unbeatable. Food is fresh and tasty — takes eating local to a whole new level. Special requests and vegetarian substitutions are no problem. Rotating chefs from top Triangle restaurants mean the menu is original and deliciously creative every time! Great place to really «wow» a dinner guest ;)

Elodie Farms is a local family run farm that makes cheese from goat’s milk they produce on premesis. My wife and I attended a Family Farm Day event there this weekend and had a wonderful time. The farm’s owner, Dave Artigues, is a generous and gracious host who opened up his farm to visitors this weekend to celebrate family farming. There were food trucks featuring fantastic products made with local ingredients, including Pie Pushers, Only Burger, and Fullsteam Brewery. There were two local bands, Actual Persons Missing Or Dead, and Three Sixty that provided very good music for those in attendance. APMOD is a group of «seasoned» rockers that did an amazing set of alternative rock that was either all original songs, or more esoteric than my fairly broad musical experience. Three Sixty is a rock trio that covered songs from at least four decades, which is not much less than their combined ages. Both bands played short sets, which was the only thing that disappointed fans, and I hope to see more of them in the future. My recommendations: Eat local, including the food trucks mentioned above.
