Excellent customer service! Great they are open on a Sunday! Getting up and having a flat tire and trying to find a place open I came upon Firestone in round lake they took me in right away and were very friendly and didn’t make me feel I was bothering them! Highly recommend this place!!!

Looked like a nice place online, had coupons so I decided to go for a basic oil change. I made an appointment for 5:30pm and showed up right on time. I pulled up to the bay and sat there for 5 minutes, not one person in there working acknowledged me or showed me where to pull in. I finally just walked in to the office, there was no employee in there. Waited another 5 mins for the guy to come back in and said he would pull my car in himself. He suggested I go wait at the Starbucks next door which surprised me, I asked how long would the wait be and he said 45 mins to an hour, very long in my opinon when you have an appointment. He was very friendly, waiting room was nice and clean. No one kept me updated on my vehicle. I walked in at 5:30pm and walked out at nearly 7:15pm. Almost 2 hours for a basic oil change, they don’t even fill your fluids, when you have an appointment is unacceptable. Cost me $ 29 and they didn’t even show me my old filter so who knows if they actually changed it. Probably won’t be going back.

We were there for the oil change of one car and vehicle inspection of another car. Richard made reservations for us and he is very nice and helpful! It is our first time to visit this location and we are very satisfied with the service!

I move around a lot for work, and one of the hardest things is finding good services every time I have to move. This is the 1^st time that I’ve found an auto shop that I LOVE to go to. Rick and Mike are always super friendly when ever I go. If I know it’s routine maintenance I can always schedule an appointment that works best with me online. If it’s an unplanned issue, as long as I get there early on a weekend they’re really good about getting my vehicle in, and keeping me updated on the status.
I’m going to miss this place when I have to move again.

I called around store opening time to find out about getting a new set of tires that same day because I was going on a trip the next day. Mike found me a good choice of tire in stock at the store and made an appointment for later that morning. Richard explained the inspection results. Both of these guys are great. The tires were on by noon and were on sale too. I’ve always had good results with Firestone tires. They’re on all 3 of my vehicles now.

I’ve dealt with Tony (Mgr.) and Tyler (Tech) regarding important service work on my vehicle, several times. I really appreciate their attention to detail, and the way they speak to people. Over the years, they have proven to me to be a good shop. Bottom line, I can trust the words that come out of their mouths. My experience has always been positive, and they’ve been real fair with me over the years. Overall, they have top notch individuals (such as the guys mentioned above) at this location. Will surely come back. 5 STARS.

It’s extremely clean and well-​kept, leading me to believe my car will be done well, too. Everyone is friendly and it is easy to schedule appointments around work. They are open late every day and are even open on Sunday. I’ve been there 3 times and have been happy each time.

We have been coming here for about a year now and to date our experience has been very positive. The front service managers are outstanding and offer up a range of options /​suggestions. In some cases, you can even get them to fiddle with the prices.
The mechanic work has also worked out well… else we would not have been repeat customers. In most cases they get the work done as promised and in the cases where delays pop up, they are quickly to inform you of the situation.
We clearly will be coming back here when needed.

Outstanding service. Best to call ahead for appointment but I’ve walked in several times and the wait hasn’t been too bad. Prices for oil changes, tire rotations, alignment, pads/​rotors (all services I’ve done through them) are very reasonable – especially compared to some of the ripoff local auto shops I’ve been to in RLB. Highly recommend these guys. Thanks for the excellent service!

In 2011 between September and November, I took my 2007 Nissan Altima to Firestone 1874 Illinois 83 Round Lake Beach, IL 60 073 because I needed to replace my two front tires. The rear tires were in pretty good shape as confirmed by Firestone and at that time there was only a need for two. They suggested putting the two new tires on the rear of the car and moving the other tires to the front.
On the eve of August 28^th, 2012, I happen to notice that when my car accelerates up to a certain speed that my steering wheel would begin to shake. On August 29^th, 2012, I called Firestone spoke with Dave and set an appointment to come in that evening. Based on my experience, whenever there is an issue with the steering wheel shaking upon acceleration, it’s normally the tire or potentially an issue with the suspension. So the first thing that came to my mind was that the two front tires were bad. There were a couple of buckles in them and one could only assume this to be there problem. After my car was checked out, the gentleman told me that my two front tires were bad and that is likely where the issue was coming from. He said the suspension was nice and tight and they didn’t see any issues there. So I approved them to move forward and change those two tires. He then asked if I could come with him to the garage area where my car was being worked on.
When I got back there, he asked me to rub my hands across the tires that I purchased on 2011 as they now notice that those began to buckle. From there he suggested that I get an alignment and said that if I didn’t, it could decline the warranty on the new tires. He also claim that the alignment could have contributed to the new tires I purchased in 2011 buckling. He advised me that I may feel a light shaking in the steering wheel but with the new tires and alignment, this should fixe my issue. Being strapped for time, I scheduled the alignment for Saturday, September 1^st, 2012 at 7:00am. When I left Firestone that very same day, I could help but notice that my issue was the «SAME». I immediately called them the very next morning (August 30^th, 2012) and asked that they make a note of this.
On Saturday September 1^st, 2012, I go into Firestone for them to perform the alignment and do further assessment on my vehicle. Once all was said and done, a gentleman by the name of Dave Salas advised me that your alignment it slightly off and once we get it done, this should fix your issue and prevent the tires from any further damage. He also said, because of the buckling in the tires you purchased in 2011, you may feel something coming from them but it shouldn’t be bad. When I left there, I was still experiencing the same issue. I was very frustrated and not happy that my issue had not been resolved. However due to Firestone’s commitment to customer service and wanting to make sure that I was satisfied, they not only resolved me issue but they did it at no additional cost to me. They set a standard by which others should be «MEASURED».

The front desk guys are always nice, the work is done well & they have (Neil for one) gone above & beyond more than once. Prices are ok with coupons, location is good, customer service is excellent.
EDIT: ⁹⁄₁₅: was told we needed new rotors for our SUV. Asked them to keep the old rotors for me. I took a look at the «old» rotors when I picked them up & they looked pretty good. So I took them to my dealership & had them measured. They had enough metal left on them to qualify as almost new! I went back — showed the rotors & the paperwork from my dealership to the manager — they refunded my money. BE WARNED, they will tell you you need services not needed. I will not be back.

This place will charge to diagnose problems. A way of roping you in. There are many shops in the immediate area that will gladly diagnose for you at no charge. Do your homework. This includes shops that specialize in auto repair as opposed to tire replacement. Do you want mechanical problems fixed by a mechanic or by a tire changer?

I have been going to the Firestone Complete Auto Care for some time. They have worked on both of my cars. this particular situation could have turned into a very bad review. Mark, the manager did what it took to make the situation right. I was having problems with my front end making noise. They did the logical things, struts, and such. When it was still making noise after an extensive amount of work, they kept the vehicle for 2 days and more or less rebuilt my front end at their expense.
I always call around to shop pricing and find this shop to be competitive.
When dealing with auto repair shops it is difficult to find someone to trust. especially when you are dealing with an unknown, like auto repair. Mark has earned my trust many times over.

EEK! Prices are outrageous! I needed a blower motor and blower motor resistor because my A/​C and Heat vents only worked on #4 setting. $ 380 is what they quoted me and I knew that was expensive since I’ve had friends have the same thing done for $ 200 – 250. I ended up going elsewhere and having it done for $ 220.00. On the same day, they flushed and inspected my radiator, it leaks 6 months later and all he could say was «eh…happens sometimes.» I suspect the inspection wasn’t done very well… Just my thoughts, think twice about going here for service.
