best mexican seafood in the area hands down, coming from San Diego my expectations were low after trying alot of the different places nearby. This place is legit, good service, great food what else do you need? maybe they could use booths but that’s nit picking

Dreadful food. Over priced and not very good. Try somewhere else. Service was decent… but for 70 dollars for 2 people you’d be better off trying any other place

We had a great meal there last night. The Paella was very tasty and fresh. The place is a little sparse as far as the decorating but we went there for the food, not the décor. Our waitress was very accommodating and patient with helping us navigating the menu, we love Mexican but we’re not very familiar with the seafood. Don’t go expecting your typical Americanized Mexican food, it’s the real deal. We will definitely go back.

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. It specializes in seafood, and let me tell you, it is done right! This was our 1st time here but it won’t be our last. The ceviche appetizer was plentiful and fresh. It is served with large round flat crisp tortilla discs, crackers, and fresh lime. We ordered a large, and it was enough for 4 – 6 people. For dinner I had a piping hot cauldron of various seafood in a delicious red broth. The fish that came in my cauldron were crab legs and claws, langoustines, shrimp, pieces of white fish and a few other types of seafood. It was a very substantial portion, enough to share. It was very good. My husband had char-grilled shrimp with rice and he really enjoyed that. Our waitress was very nice and also helpful because most of the menu is not in English so she had to explain some of the items for us. If your in the neighborhood you should give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Horrible service. Walked in and stood waiting to be greeted or for someone to acknowledge that we were there while the place was nearly empty and the next person that walk throught the door was helped immediately. Then someone who i thought was a customer got up from their seat and help us after they saw how angry we were. Why she didn’t help us right away, i don’t know.

We went because of all the great reviews– we were disappointed. I wanted an iced tea to drink to find out they don’t have any– I am not a big soda drinker. We started with the Mexican style shrimp cocktail– which I had such a craving for, and it was extremely watery, almost soup like, that really bummed me out. I had the stuffed pineapple, sounded soooo good– it came out & looked great & smelled great, but wow– was it lacking in flavor. I could have sworn it said it had chipotle in it, but I sure couldn’t taste it. My husband had a steak & shrimp dish– he said the steak was a bit tough. Then came the wait from hell to get a box and our check. Was really hoping more from this place based on the reviews. It was ok, but I don’t think we will be back. I will however make the pineapple dish– but with some improvements.

WOW!!! absolutely AMAZING start to finish! Ceviche, langoustine platter, Super hot salsa… Hubby had enchilada dinner(poor him, should have had one of the seafood dishes) I kept looking to see what others ordered so I know what to order next time! And there will be a next time! Ohhhh so good… Service is nice and I can’t wait to come back! Can’t go wrong here! Just went again for lunch and had a DELICIOUS conglomeration of shellfish and fish filets I’m officially HOOKED! the chef came out and checked on us and admitted he was the masterful one who created our meal last night. I LOVE Him. Sweet, and talented! Don’t walk… Run to this place. And don’t forget the Michelada drink!!!

The food was excellent. A Mexican seafood place, a rarity which I have not seen around here before. The interior was nicer than some of the pictures I had seen online. We were the only gringos in the place, which I expected. It is very authentic and local. I had to try the Piña Azteca, it’s a half roasted pineapple! Filled with steak, shrimp, cut up pineapple and topped with cheese. The rice was buttery and tasty. Very hot and fresh. The only downside, we went for lunch and it took over an hour to eat. The place was not even half full, there was only one waitress and two cooks. It took roughly 20+ mins just for the guacamole. It was all very fresh and good, but don’t go if you have no patience and are starving. It was unfortunately a big turn off for me. If you are a foodie and not in a rush. Definitely worth the experience.

Not really that impressive from Carryout. Very expensive and stuff was overcooked. Civeche was the same stuff you get at Garden Fresh. Going to try and dine in at some point because service was excellent.

My husband and I have been coming to this place for a while now. The Langostinos are to die for! Some of the best in Chicago and Suburbs by far! Micheladas are awesome too! The oysters are always fresh as well. I usually get the fried Mojarra fish and it’s always very delicious. They have other non-seafood items on the menu but if you decide to check this place out you must try one of the many seafood dishes(Langostinos, Mojarra, Red Snapper, Ceviche, Mussels, Oysters)…just to name a few. I am so glad we found this place and we will continue coming for the best Mexican seafood around!

Went here after reviewing the two reviews that were posted. Typical Mexican seafood restaurant. Food was outstanding. I had the fried red snapper. My wife has the ceviche and the fish soup and she was extremely happy with both. I am a realtor and stopped here because a client gave me a property nearby. Needless to say, I know where I will be stopping for lunch when I have to do my inspections every two weeks.

Outstanding food. I had a Honduran neighbor when I lived in NC. Never since have I eaten food that could compare… until I walked into Las Tres. If you don’t appreciate it’s awesomeness, you don’t deserve to.

Great Food… Best Micheladas. Langostinos are amazing! I really enjoyed eating in this place. I recommend this place its better than Red Lobster and all those seafood restaurants I’ve tried…
