Went in recently on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The weather was dark and chilly, so I was not going to eat out on the patio. I had to have lunch inside while I listened to about ten men at the bar talking(as in being loud and annoying) about politics. They apparently are regulars because one was proud to have his«mug» refilled several times. There is nothing special about this place. I don’t need to return for any reason.

I’ve driven by this place many times on trips to Saratoga/Lake George but have never stopped to check it out — it always seems packed. Came here with some friends mid afternoon(maybe 2ish) on a Sunday and upon walking in, you can definitely tell this is kind of a townie bar/restaurant, in part because it’s probably the only restaurant in the Ballston Lake area. That didn’t bother me at all, but the place was super busy. The Refrigerators happened to be playing outside that day, so I attribute the crowd to that. The restaurant was preparing for a party in the downstairs dining area, so we were escorted to what seemed like a hidden room upstairs that was completely empty. By the time we left, there were 2 other groups that had been seated in this space, which happened to have football playing on a projector screen, so that was an added bonus. The food — my sister and I couldn’t decide between a couple of apps, so we got two, the mozzarella sticks, and the pretzels and beer cheese. The mozzarella sticks were pretty average tasting, but their marinara sauce was delicious, very thick and tasty! The pretzels and beer cheese were amazing! Our server recommended we hold on to the cheese for dipping for our fries, which we did. For my lunch, I ordered a medium rare burger topped with spinach artichoke dip, it sounded interesting, so I gave it a try. In theory, the flavor combinations seem like they may work, the burger itself was just far too messy to even enjoy. It fell apart and my hands were covered in burger juices and dip, I wasn’t even able to finish it. Our server was very friendly, and overall I enjoyed the dining experience. I would definitely return if I’m in the area. Downgrading two stars just because I wasn’t able to really enjoy my meal, and also for lunch it was kind of pricey.

Food was okay I had the chicken quesadilla and it was huge but the chicken was dry and I’m not the only one that think that some body else order w/chicken. We go there to hang and drink by the fire in the patio area and its pretty big place. Drinks is expensive if you order hard liquor and very week too. So far it’s okay. If you come early you can listen to a band.

I was surprised at how good this place was. I came here on a Saturday and it was PACKED. There appeared to be a private event going on. I felt a little awkward as we first walked in because the restaurant was empty and looked like someones living room. We were greeted and told that the downstairs dining area was going to have a private party at 3pm, so we were able to eat upstairs. It was cozy and they had a projector screen going with the game on. Onto the food; we started with several apps– mozz sticks, pretzel bites with the sam adams beer cheese and nachos. Mozz sticks were standard bar type, nothing special there. The sauce was really hearty and good. The pretzel bites were really good and the beer cheese was awesome. Nachos were pretty standard also. For my entrée, I got the mushroom and swiss burger and it was soooooo good. It was huge and had a really good char taste to it. They didn’t skimp with the mushrooms either. The fries on the side were great also. I ended up dipping my fries in the left over beer cheese. My sister got the popeye burger which is a huge burger with a huge pile of spinach artichoke dip on top. Sounded good, but as expected, it was so messy and hard to eat. Kudos for trying though. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was really friendly and the place was bumping(literally) when we walked out. They have huge patio space outside. I would come back if I’m in the area, but it’s a ways away from me. My only small gripe was that I was charged for extra marinara sauce and their sodas are $ 3.00 each which is kind of pricey, although they offer free refills.

Great place for food and a beer. Used to not enjoy the food as much in past years but as of this summer, have seen a great increase in quality. Catering seems spectacular as well, I will be using it with my upcoming parties. Will definitely be returning frequently over the coming weeks.

Frankly I don’t know how I missed the existence of this place. I’m glad I found it. It doesn’t scream gourmet food or fancy anything and this is the best part. It has a large outdoor area with multiple bars and family and singles friendly. It is nice to come here for beer and wings, burgers, and other pub food. Decent selection of taps, about 10. There are local and common beer types. Really if you are looking for a place in nice weather to get a beer and hangout without too much noise and lively people, the mill good. The staff was quick and professional and the fireplace is nice when chilly. Check it out if in the area.

I wanna like this place more. It’s a great idea and the food is good. They have a great beer list with a mix of standards and craft offerings. The food is well made bar food and they excel in wings with multiple choices for sauce. The service was excellent. Now for the con. The outdoor patio although is amazing, but that also means people are allowed to smoke. Maybe part of it is that since the smoking laws have been here for awhile… the smell of smoke when eating is now such a noxious turn off it ruined the dining experience. Would I join a group of friends who said they were going there. Yes. Would I recommend it as a place to eat. Not with out letting people know about the smoking.

Came on a whim while driving through town. We had the kids with us so the outdoor patio was a plus. We had the Irish Nachos and Shrimp Skewers both of which were amazing!!! The kids split a grilled cheese which was humongous! We gave it five stars for ambiance as well as what they have to offer. We didn’t get to experience live music but I can only imagine what it would be like with the outdoor patio/bar and band playing. We wish we had a place like this near us!

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. It did take a while to get our food though and one of the meals had to be sent back because it was wrong. I had a veggie burger. It was actually quite good. I paired it with the Mac and Tuna salad which was also quite good. All in all we were happy with service and food. Nice place!

Great food and very plentiful, the Sam Adams cheese dip was a great appetizer, LOL too much for one person to add to a meal. The Apple cider pulled pork sandwich was excellent and combined with the a huge portion of their nice macaroni salad as a side which became the next days lunch. Service was very prompt and courteous and I had no problem with throwing down $ 30 for it all that included a well deserved 20% tip.

Food was ok. But paid $ 85 for 3 glasses of Soda, 20 wings, 3 orders of Mac And cheese bites, a sandwich and 2 beers. Just saying a bit pricey for pub grub for the family. Service was very good. Very attentive staff.

Great venue for getting together with friends to listen to music, dance, have a beverage and a meal. Had the portabella burger with sweet potato fries… delicious! The waitresses were right there to take your order and very friendly. Average prices for food and drink. Loved the atmosphere!

$ 7.95 for kid’s meals? 2 chx strips and fries. Ridiculous! And they actually charged a $ 1 to remove onions from our sliders saying it was«special». Food and service were good but impossible not to leave disappointed thinking I spent $ 24 on 3 kids meals. Don’t think we’ll be back.

This was a lunch gathering before my two snow-bird friends fly south for the Winter. Not a large selection of draft beer, and no craft brews, so I settled for a Guinness. The barmaid was properly skilled in pouring it. My friends each ordered a burger — Bacon Cheddar($ 8.50) and Traditional($ 7.95). They do try to cook them to your requested doneness and both of my friends were happy with how each burger was cooked and tasted. I ordered Chester’s Pulled Pork Sandwich($ 7.95) — Slow-smoked BBQ pork tenderloin topped with thinly sliced red onion. I thought the pork was both tender and tasty. If you’ve got a date later, you might want to hold the raw onion. The rolls were fresh and soft. All sandwiches came with a choice of fries, Saratoga chips, or homemade tuna/mac salad. For a dollar extra, you can substitute sweet potato fries or onion rings. Also for a dollar extra, sandwiches can be made in a wrap style. Overall, the food was good. When the snow-birds return we may return to sit on their patio in nicer weather.
