A-Excellence Wrecker Service

HORRIBLE!!! I have roadside assistance with AT&T, A Excellence wrecker service were the folks to pick up the call. Initially they gave one price of $ 45 then it went to $ 275 unless I could wait until 7am the next morning, so I did. They said I would have to call back to schedule it though, so I called at 6am when I’m told they will arrive between 7 – 8 so now it’s even more time waiting. 8am comes around still nothing so I call the little girl at the phone proceeds to tell me the driver will call when he’s on his way probably 8:30. Yes by this point I’m pissed!!! I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NEVER!!! horrible customer service, horrible attitude from the little girl who answers the phone. I hope she’s the owners daughter because I will make sure the owner they just lost a lot of business!!!

Worst Experience of my life. This company tells you to give them an hour notice. When you do and you arrive within the exact amount of time, they tell you at 4pm that the staff is out for lunch and it will be another 2 hours. When you try to hold them to their rules they treat you badly by slamming your ID and cards on the desk and yelling at you. They provided me with 2 invoices and when simply asked why the lady got in my face. She was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I told her that she needed to lose the attitude and she made it very clear that she was pissed off that she was forced to come to work on time. Instead of arguing and playing her games I just signed the papers and told her «nevermind, here are your papers. I have paid your fine now get my key». She told me NO! I lost it and yelled over her telling her to get my key now! I told her she was unprofessional to which she proceeded to tell me THE CUSTOMER, that I was being unprofessional and that she would not give me the key to my car until I asked sweetly and in a manner that she felt was ok. I told her I most certainly would not. I paid my dues and she was withholding my vehicle. An older lady comes in likely due to the yelling and asks in Spanish whats going on. The lady proceeds to tell her in Spanish that i was being a «crazy ass bitch». I told her that it would do her no good to talk about me in Spanish because I speak it too. She told me «good for you, she only speaks Spanish»…That had nothing to do with her giving me my key back. I demanded that she give me my key or the police would be called. She said «do what you want»…The police were called. While I was on the phone the lady proceeded to yell at my friend and 9 year old daughter who had not said a word the entire time. As I hung up the phone with 911 she raised her hands and said «fine, here is your key» REALLY??? I had to call the police to make you do your damn job?
Few other tidbits… She was rude on the phone and hung up on me when I told her that she said it would be 1 hour but now it was 2 more additional hours. I told her it was unprofessional to treat customers that way. Her response was «I didnt want to talk to you anymore». The location is trash. There are kids outside who were literally beating each other up. 1 boy smashed the head of a smaller boy into one of the flatbed trucks and only stopped when we got out to stop them. They have rabid dogs all over the place. When you go to the office the come up and bark at you. The office is in a shack with cot bedding and garbage everywhere. Chopped cars all over the streets and lots. The name on the building is not the same as the towing vehicle name. She told me thats the «other name they use». I will be sure to hunt that down and leave this review there too. When I was leaving I told her I would be sure to leave a bad review. Again she laughed and said «do what you want.» When I got in my vehicle I found coffee cups all over the place (I do not drink coffee) and my gas which I had just filled up was GONE! Figures.
I didnt have a choice in where my car went, but if you do, save yourself and find a professional company. Do not use this illegal chop shop.

Cannot say enough good things about Louis. He went out of his way to help me at 5pm during rush hour.

Had an accident due to the ice. The trucker towed the vehicle and was to take my vehicle to Excellent Paint and Body which is TWO MILES DOWN THE ROAD. It took «A-​Excellence Towing» FIVE DAYS to move my car TWO MILES, then on top of that, they gave the body shop a key that did NOT belong to my car. Are you serious? Yet you want to call your company «A-​Excellence»? More like «A-​Waste if Time» or «A-​Pain in the A$$». Now they cannot find the key to MY CAR. Fantastic…
I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE use this company, even if their life depended on it.

I got in a car accident recently and my insurance company set up a day for this company to come out and tow my car which is at my apartment complex. I was told they’d be out Thursday afternoon to tow the car and take it to the body shop so I can have it looked at to see if it is totaled. It is now Sunday and my car is still sitting in the same spot. When I called the number of the towing company they picked up and no one answered it just sounded like they were at a party and didn’t realize they picked up. So I hung up. 2 seconds later a man calls me and says «did you call this number» and all I hear in the background are people partying and talking as I’m telling this guy no one has gotten my car yet and it’s Sunday. All he could say was that they’d be here tomorrow at 7:15am before I go to work. We will see about that. Don’t bother using these people!

A third-​party company to administer it Roadside assistance program. I called just after 9 AM this morning. Was told that the tow truck would be there by 11 AM. I told them neither the key nor I would be there and they said that was fine. I called the towing company and told them the same thing. They also said it was fine. The truck driver called me after 1230 I told him that neither the key nor I would be there and he sounded fine with that as well. At 2:30 this afternoon I went by the shop to leave the key for them to start working on it. The car is not there. Called Excellence and sat on hold forever w/​no answer. Called USAA and they said Excellence cancelled service because no one was at the car when they got there. It’s now almost 3:00 and no one bothered to call to tell me. The truck driver called me before asking for details on location. Why didn’t he call me to tell me he wouldn’t do it? USAA’s 3^rd party company said they tried calling but got a busy signal again ANC again. I have call waiting. I haven’t been on the phone. I have no missed calls.
The car has been towed without the key before. They tow cars parked illegally without a key or the owner present. If not being there ANC not having the key was a problem then someone should’ve told me the first time I called after 9am this morning!
Ridiculous!

4:25pm Saturday February 1^st, 183 southbound in Austin near Braker Lane. Driver cut across 3 lanes of traffic with no signal, from the right lane all the way to the left lane. At one point he didn’t even have his hands on the wheel — he was running his hands through his passenger’s hair with one hand, and had his phone in the other hand. Guess he was driving several thousand pounds of steel with his knee, on a crowded freeway on a Saturday afternoon. Then after about 5 minutes of blocking traffic in the passing lane, he cut across all 3 lanes of traffic again, with no signal again, while he was clicking on the screen on his phone. Unless you want a two truck that’s going to cause a wreck on his way to get you (which of course would make him some money), go with someone else.

Worst experience in my life, and ive been to iraq! my insurance called them and set up the tow. they said it would be an hour which is reasonable, an hour and a half passes so i call my insurance company, who then calls the wrecker, and they tell me it, ll be another 15 mins. 2 hours pass and i call my insurance co back and they get on the line with the wrecker dispatch and she tells them that the wrecker is outside with me. i tell the insurance co that is not true and that there is no way i could not see the guy pull up because my vehicle was in a gas station parking lot. so i call the dispatch directly and she ignores the fact that she has LIED and tells me that its going to be another half hour at the least in a condescending tone. she LIED to me and my insurance co. finally 3 ½ HOURS LATER the wrecker shows up in a wife beater and shorts, hooks up the tow truck to my car then tells me to «hold on while i go inside to get a drink» then we get on the road and he starts TEXTING AND DRIVING. This business is nothing but uncourteous and unprofessional, A-​Excellence, not even as a last resort,

To the awesome tow-​driver who got me off of the side of I-​35 about 2 months ago: sorry it took so long to post this review I promised you! You were great conversation, laid back and helpful, and you let me get my bearings before asking me to work out the payment with you. Thanks!
I called Bullet Towing first, and then called A-​Excellence. Bullet’s operator sounded like an 18 year old girl who was too busy browsing MySpace to help me out, and screwed up telling the driver where I was waiting at (on the side of the highway with a flat!). This caused a delay, and A-​Excellence got there first. I didn’t get the chance to experience the actual tow drivers from Bullet, but if they’re half as dim-​witted as the operator, I’m glad I didn’t!

This is the worst Tow truck company in the history of tow truck company! Trust me I am not exaggerating. I waited 2hrs for them to come and when I called to complain about the long wait the secretary, Theresa, was so rude to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she hung up on me. Its a shame people like Theresa have have jobs when there are som many pople in this poor ecomony that would love to take her position and provide excellent service. My special thank you to Louis for ensuring my car was delivered to the dealership this morning as promised! Last night I was stranded on Parmer lane and Lamar with my 76 year old Aunt and 3 daughters. I called On star/​chevy and a cab but there wasnt enough room for me in the cab. Louis not only quickly and safely loaded my car, while literally dodging cars, he ensured I made it to a safe place to be picked up by my husband coming from out of town. Kudos, A-​Excellence!

I blew a U joint today on my Jeep while on I45. USAA provides my roadside assistance and this is the towing company they chose to get my vehicle home for me. Dixie, the dispatcher, called me immediately to let me know beforehand that I would be required to pay the toll fees the tow truck incurred which I felt was completely acceptable.
Louis arrived about 10 minutes before the ETA I was given by USAA. He was very professional and you could tell that he knew what he was doing. He told me he had been in the tow business for over 15 years! He got my Jeep up on his truck quickly and efficiently. Once home he put my car exactly where I needed it. Louis made sure I was satisfied with his service before he left. I can definitely say that I was pleased.

I woke up at 6:45 because their automated service called me at 6 to tell me they’d be here by 7 to get my car. 7 rolls around, then 7:30, but nothing. I called my insurance company and they tell me the wrecker told me they’d called and I told them I didn’t need a tow anymore. I never received a call.
My insurance provider assured them I did, and they sent out another tow truck. This time, the automated call told me they’d be there in 40. I called the number it provided, and the woman on the line told me in a rude voice that she couldn’t provide me a more accurate arrival time.
Then another automated call told me they’d be here in 15. They still hadn’t arrived in 25. I didn’t get a call until 38 minutes later.
I had to wake up extra early and cancel two clients to meet this GD truck.

I’m not sure who to blame– AT&T Roadside Assistance for calling a tow-​truck that was far enough away from where I was that I ended up paying extra for their services – or the dispatcher, who seemed to be completely unable to tell me why exactly I ended up paying an extra $ 20 for a 9.5 mile tow!
I am a mild-​mannered person, but when I asked to know exactly how much the total towing fee was, she refused to tell me, and became increasingly argumentative and finally belligerent. She did not speak English very well, and that was I’m sure the reason we ended up shouting at each other over the phone.
As a consumer with roadside assistance, I expect that the towing company can tell me exactly how much my tow costs, not counting the assistance discount – and Maria did not seem to be able to tell me.
The gentleman who towed my car was professional, attempted to jump-​start the car first, and handled my car very well. I have no complaints about the driver at all – but I would never recommend this company and will encourage AT&T to remove them from their contractor list.

I needed my Car towed to the dealership, I called my Car roadside service that I have with AT&T, to my delight they sent a Father and Son, the father name is Augustine And the son is Jose .
They were the word Excellence came from they came very polite they are from Chicago, The son did an Excellent Job of backing my Car up to the right spot, should you ever need a tow please call this family business you won’t be sorry as they were Gentle with my Car!
