About You Moving

I had a great experience with them last summer (late May 2012). Yes, they were late if I remember correctly, but they more than made up for it. They were super efficient, friendly, quick, and a third the price of the other quotes I got. And there were THREE of them at that price, so it went quick. I’m moving again on the 20^th of this month. and plan on giving them a call for another quote and possible move.

Kicking myself for not checking Unilocal before arranging for this company to move us!!!
I found them on Craigslist and everything sounded good, we had an appointment for 9am the day after we closed on our home.
He called the day before and asked very nicely if they could do one other move before us. STUPID ME!!! I agreed. STUPID!
He called the day of our ‘scheduled move’ and said they were running late and would call me when they were on the way.
Getting into the afternoon, I had not heard from them so I called Johnny. He said the move was taking longer than expected and he would call when they were on the way.
Late in the day still no movers. He finally sent a text and said they would have to reschedule.
So, my thinking is that since they didn’t get me moved on the day scheduled, that I would be the top priority the next day. NOPE! I called him and he said they had truck problems and he had other customers and would call me when they were on the way.
Late in the day STILL NO MOVERS, and STILL NO PHONE CALL!!!
I called and left a message and never heard back from him… to this day!
Use this company if you want nothing but stress and empty promises.
I ended up calling my first choice for movers on Monday morning (I had not booked with them because the earliest they could get to me was Monday — and since I was able to find someone else to help me sooner).
Unicorn Movers helped us to move, were there when they said they would be there, were very curious and the price was right! Should have gone with them in the first place!!!
If you don’t want to take a job, do not take it Johnny! You need to learn about customer service!

Cancelled on me same day via text.

Do not even think of using this «mover», and I use that term loosely! Booked over 2 weeks ago for a 1 bedroom move from Austin to Houston, and confirmed Friday prior, by myself having to initiate the call, and Johnny said «we will be there at 9». First warning to myself should have been when he called later that night to ask if he could do the job another day, my response was no, I start a job and need to move tomorrow as we originally scheduled. The next morning I received a text message stating «we are running late»… I replied «how late»… Messages went back and forth on how Johnny was trying to get to me… It’s not 7 pm and have not heard from him… And guess what… I’m still not moved! Short story… Save yourself time, heartache, and anxiety. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS MOVER!!!

I used Johnny’s crew to move me from one side of an apartment complex to the other. What a disaster. They crushed my plasma tv. They knocked the toe kick off of a 150 year old dresser by moving it on a two wheel cart rather than by carrying it. They dropped a 100 year old grandfather clock. Johnny’s response was that he had 90 days to file insurance. I’m tired of waiting and I know that it will have to be settled in court. Would not recommend.

I scheduled with Johnny at this company to move me 3 weeks prior to my moving date. I confirmed, with him, the Friday before the Tuesday I was scheduled to move. This morning, they completely no showed for the scheduled move and when I called to see what was happening, he said they had tried to call me for a 9am move time, though I had them scheduled for 10am, and I had never received a call from them. When I complained, Johnny told me that «everyone makes mistakes». I have spent the last hour calling other companies to try to get my things moved. It is my experience that these folks are unreliable and unprofessional. I would never recommend them.
