I walked in, and did not expect what I saw. a cute salon in a cute area! Love love Ashley! Thank you for taking care of me on your day off and beautifying my hair! My schedule is normally very hectic due my full time job and 4 kids and a husband! Ashley scheduled me in on Monday, which is the ONLY day I have open for any up keep I need. She was very clear about my Brazilian blowout and educated me on the process and how long it would take. We had a wonderful chat and her little salon is very chic. As an entrepreneur I can honestly say that sometimes«things happen» and that’s reality. Whether from being a wife, a mom, an employee or employer we are never perfect. Even medical offices or hospitals never meet our expectations and doctors do make mistakes too(and that is NEVERNEVER expected)! I can see the reviews below me are horrible but you need to give Addilyn salon a try! It’s very cozy and upscale! They normally go «by appointments only» so make sure to call ahead of time! I left looking and feeling Fab! My husband kept touching my hair and telling me how great it looks :) My 1 missing star is due to my eyes burning a little from the brazilian application(my eyes are very sensitive)!! but that’s ok. beauty hurts!(sometimes!)

I called them to schedule an appointment and never heard back from them. So in return, I went to a different salon in the same shopping area and they treated me great. It’s unlikely that I’ll try to go see Addilyn Jayde Salon.

groupon users beware. I arrived for an appointment I’d scheduled when I bought the groupon(1⁄31) and was told the computer crashed and the appointments were lost — yet somehow the stylist still had my name and tried to message me on Facebook the same morning?(bizarre). she offered the option of me returning later in the day while she frantically called the other Addilyn Jayde stylists to see if they could help me out. no luck. she offered for me to wait until she«finished» her current client. how long? 45 mins. at this point, I’d already been gone from the office 30 mins. I rescheduled for 3pm, and when I returned there was no mention of the incident earlier, no apology or notice that I had reworked my day to accomodate her scheduling faux pas. if she had an inclination that my appointment was that day, why didn’t she have someone on backup? the 3pm appointment ran smoothly. this was my first brazilian blowout, so I can’t compare it to others, but it seemed pretty straightforward. section hair, apply serum, blowdry, flat iron, repeat. I’m guessing the treatment takes more time than skill, and I was in and out within 1 hr 20 mins, give or take. is my hair pin straight and soft? for $ 99? you betcha. no complaints there. the salon has a sort of kountry(yes, with a k) vibe, with country(with a c) music playing in the background and homespun hot pink and black and white polka dot decorations. at least they made an effort, but overall it’s reminiscent of the inherent differences between Round Rock and Austin. the stylist was friendly(never got her name, perhaps due to the initial panicking?), and we had a nice chat. I think if you’re accustomed to a more local, laid back scene, it’s fine. personally, I would have preferred a higher degree of professionalism and ambience. lesson learned: if you booked during the groupon frenzy, call prior to your appointment to ensure you’re actually on the calendar.
