Nicest staff EVER. Well organized and great deals! All the folks who work here are wonderful. It’s never crazy busy. They have great seasonal things and the food section is always my favorite!

Love Big Lots and have always enjoyed finding new things. We have been to this location three times since we have moved to round rock and each time the experience is more frustrating than the last. The associates are incredibly rude. Most recently we came in to purchase a blender. All they had left was the display. We asked a guy that works there if he would make sure there were not more in the back and told him if there weren’t we would take the display if he could get the box down. We stood there for about 15 minutes before we left. We will not be back to this location.

Big Lots has some pretty cool overstocked stuff at decent prices. Watch the expiration dates on the food, though. Sometimes they are months out, days out, or even past the expiration date. It’s a great place to stock up on munchies and bread, though. Stock can be hit or miss and sometimes the brands are those you can usually only find in other regions of the country… very cool! It’s a great place to find storage bins without paying Container Store prices. Lots of necessities can be found here.

I’ve been a fan of Big Lots since it was MacFrugals in the 90’s(anybody? anybody?) Bigs Lots is a little dangerous. You have to be thoughtful of what you are getting. Some food items are nearing expiration, so make sure you can use it in time! Some items vary in quality as well, so just inspect before you buy. I especially enjoy getting my gluten-free goods here. I can usually find a large selection of Bob’s Red Mill flours & mixes. Some of my favorite finds are nostalgic or just plain weird. Orange juice in a can? I thought you could only get that on the airplane! Nerds Rope!!! Haven’t had one since 8th grade! Think of that weird flavor of Gatorade you loved a few years ago. They just might have it. We’ve bought some window panels that are great, a solar light that’s going strong, some seeds, etc. etc. If you are in the market for furniture, I’d check this place out before spending a bunch somewhere else. If you like to climb into the clearance bin and get your hands dirty, this place is for you. The whole place is a clearance bin(but they actually DO have clearance sections that are dirt cheap.) CHEAPPEOPLEUNITE!

If I could give a 0 I would. I used to love this location, but the last time I went in… that is the last time I will purchase from this store. The heavy set Hispanic lady was very rude. I didn’t know that they do not take coupons. U would think they would as they get it back. Well there was some laundry soap on sale and I had a coupon… so I was like that is a great deal. Well in the process of getting the soap I saw some soaps without the cap and so I couldn’t find anybody to ask. So as I approached the counter… she did not have a smile, no hello, no hi… so I said hello… and then she said hi. I asked her if they were going to mark down the soaps that have a missing cap… she looked at me and just said no. So I said ok thanks… and I give her my coupons as she run up my purchase and didn’t ask… anything else… dis u find everything ok… thing. so as I am handing her my coupons she looks at me and looked at the coupons and said… we don’t take coupons… so I grabbed my coupons and left… yet again no sorry, no have a good nite, nothing… not even a smile… nada… Needless to say I would buy anything in there anymore… I will go cuz I like to window shop but not purchase. I also contacted customer service via the web… still have yet to get a response… won’t be going back… all because she if rude.

Well guess what I went with the wife to Big Lots yesterday. For some reason my wife likes Big Lots. She saw a special in the paper for several things that she wanted. Now she wants me to go look at them with her. So we fired up the Batmobile and skidded on over. The store itself seemed clean and had a lot of stuff; I mean a lot of stuff. I saw in the ad that they had some blank CD’s on sale; I could not find them so I asked where they were. The nice lady told me that this store did not sell that item and that not all stores sold everything the ad in the paper said was on sale. Bummer! Well just throw me on the bus and hack with a chain saw! Now my wife has found the thing a ma gig-amie(I can’t spell that OK) that she wants. She wanted the thing that goes at the foot of the bed to sit on, what do you call it? Oh yes a bench like seat. You know the foot of the bed thing she wants me to sit on in the morning instead of the bed to put my socks on. The thing looked nice had a lot of padding and a nice colored material cover so I agreed and we bought it. Oh and it just barely fit in the back seat of the Batmobile, nice boy, Batmobile comes through again. Yep now I know why I went I had to pay, thanks wife! The thing is now at the foot of our bed, hey I like it, the wife has done well. Overall, I guess Big lots is OK if you find the right deal! Would I go back? Yes, when the wife tells me we are going.
