This was by far the best course I took even including college. I learned so much and created bonding relationships with my classmates. The skills were great and was one of my favorite parts of the course. My lead instructor Billy was an inspiration to helping me achieve my goals. He was a fabulous instructor and by far the best out of all the instructors that taught the class.

I’ve written other reviews but they got deleted. I personally paid for and was accepted into and attended this program but was kicked out for forgetting to turn in my physical form in on time (my father just died in a plane crash, but because he died a few months before the program started they considered this a non-​issue. True story, you can’t make up some kind of horrific things that happen in life). Was a top scoring student. Worst experience ever, I was trained and worked in MA before and had a great time so thought I’d try it again here while studying for grad school, also honor my dad’s memory (he worked in healthcare). If you’re not from Texas, Round Rock is like another place… I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say on here any more or what will get deleted. But I can promise I am in touch with classmates who just recently graduated and are very disappointed in the program. Expensive and unnecessarily militaristic in a cruel and ignorant way, there are way better and more affordable programs out there. PS beware they monitor all conversation and classroom activity closely so be very careful of wording and knowing all of the rules. Check out Reddit and you may find better information on it since they do not delete posts that don’t compliment a certain company

My daughter attended this Academy. She took out a loan & paid for her tuition in full. She struggled with absolutely no help or direction with her courses. She was great at clinicals, not so great with written tests. She was dropped because of two low tests & was never offered help in order for her to complete the course. I have taught trade school in the past & went above & beyond to help anyone I knew needed the extra help in order for them to be successful. The instructors here are terrible and they do not care a bit about the students. Shame on them for robbing people of they’re future & money. Not to mention the threats they send you via email to drop you from the course. They throw a random drug screening on you which is completely normal, but in no way make it convenient for the student to get it done especially if they work a full time job. DO NOT GO HERE, you will be wasting your time…

I attended EMTS. I received my EMT-​B, AEMT and EMT-​P with NREMT after receiving my training at EMTS. Currently I work as Critical Care Transport with a highly respected company. Like any program there are downsides and faults that happen along the way, but in my experience I noticed it was the students that had a strong sense of entitlement about them that seemed to falter. The students that took limited responsibility for their education and generally blamed others for their downfalls. EMS is a profession that requires you to accept constructive criticism, to know how to problem solve on the fly, how to gather information, structure a valid argument and at times be humble enough to ask for help. Matt and Laura always took the time and energy to make sure I had the best educational experience and answer any questions or address concerns I had along the way. There were programs that were shorter, cheaper or promised a «zero to hero» education, but looking back at it now I highly doubt I would be the Paramedic I am today. It’s something that cannot be understood until your looking at it in hindsight. Several months ago I received an email from my medical director informing me that he had reviewed my patient care reports. He found my patient care and reporting to be clear, cut, concise and exactly what any medical director wants from any one of his paramedics practicing under his license. All of this can be directly traced back to the training I received at EMTS and the Clinical sites they are associated with. Thank you

My experience at EMTS Academy was the total opposite of the first post. Not only were the instructors amazing, the administrative staff Andrea and Laura were always helpful and friendly. Anytime I needed help with class work Nate and Kevin would take the time out of their day after work and sit with me and explain parts of the textbook in a different way until I got it. They let the students review their quizzes and tests. They have a study guide for each test so I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t pass when they know what they are going to be tested on. Some classmates just chose not to study or do their homework or read the book! Lazy. The rest of us passed and passed the NREMT exam. If you want to be lazy, go somewhere else. If you want a great education with people who actually care about you then this is the place. I’ll be going back for my AEMT and paramedic in April.
